We went through the same - I had checked yes on the box on whichever form, but never got proof of his registration and checking the site didn't show that he was registered. I went on the site and registered him, and printed the confirmation. The officer asked for that at his naturalization interview.

My husband just had his - I requested a combo interview when we filed his N-400. They called him in by himself, did his citizenship tests, then went through our copy of the I-751 that he brought with him and asked questions on that - she never called me in for an interview, and told him she was recommending him for approval, but had to request his I-751. He got his approval and oath ceremony notice in 3 days. Definitely have the spouse attend.

Just went through the exact same situation with my husband - His N400 interview was 11/13, she said she was going to approve him but could not because of the pending I-751, but would request that and he should look for his oath ceremony notice in the mail. We got notifications the next day that his I-751 petition had been transferred, and Friday night he received notice that his oath ceremony is scheduled for December 3rd. I think it's at the mercy of how quick the agent moves who did the interview.

N400 checklist. Missing anything?

I attached a copy of the I-751 and a letter requesting a joint interview. My husband had his citizenship interview this week - the agent told him she couldn't fully approve as she didn't have the original I-751 submission but was recommending approval. We received notification the next day that his I-751 had been transferred, and then that he is in line for the oath ceremony to be scheduled. -

We used tax return transcripts - Also bank accounts, mortgage, bills, etc.. - The "Or" relates to your tax returns, it's one or the other. My husband got approved on Wednesday. -

Some banks and CC will let you add them as an authorized user without a SSN -- TD Bank and Capital One both allowed me to add my husband before he had his SSN. We updated the accounts once he had it. -

My husband had his citizenship interview yesterday in the Hartford, CT office. I had submitted a letter with his application, requesting a joint interview for his lifting conditions. He was in the interview about 45 minutes (he's a talker!), and she did not request to meet with me. He passed his citizenship tests, and the agent went through his I-751 petition with him, and looked at the pictures and asked a ton of questions about our marriage, such as why we don't have our pay deposited to the joint account instead of transferring money to our own accounts (he explained that we reached and agreement and the mortgage, etc.. are paid from the joint). They also spent some time talking about Vegas, because ironically when we had our first interview, we had just booked a trip to Vegas for our anniversary - with this interview, we booked a trip to Vegas over Thanksgiving! She told him that she could not approve him on the spot due to the underlying I-751, but said that she was recommending him for approval and his oath ceremony letter would arrive in the mail. Our status has not yet changed online - oddly, I received a notice about a week ago that they had taken action on our case, but when I log into the website there is not an update. So, I guess we are in a holding pattern at the moment, but still feel relieved that the finish line is in sight! -
If you are already married, add him to your health insurance, then go to a doctor, walk in clinic, CVS, etc... and get the vaccines done under the health insurance. You potentially will have to repay the civil surgeon fee, but you can bring proof of the vaccines to cut the cost. You can use https://www.easyime.com/ to find a civil surgeon, and compare costs. We drove 45 min to get to one, but got my husband's medical done for $150 instead of $500.

I-485 denied. Please help!

No need to re-read it, I've lived it. We filed a concurrent petition, and are now about to have my husband's citizenship interview. -
I-485 denied. Please help!
SusnOwen replied to Karay's topic in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas
Incorrect information - You can file the I-130 and I-485 concurrently, even with an overstay, if you legally entered the US and marry a US citizen. It sounds like the I-130 may have been denied, or something to do with that - They are saying there isn't a pending petition, so if they filed concurrently, something had to have happened with the I-130 first. -
You can do an I94 search online, which will give travel history, that tracks your entries into the US - https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/history-search

Just got our interview scheduled for November 13th! I got the "we've taken action on your case" notice, and in my excitement locked myself out of my USCIS account - so I was going nuts trying to reset my password and find out! So excited! 😀 -

If you read back through the last posts, you are arguing with yourself - You already replied to me, and I ignored it because you CLEARLY don't get it. So as for getting obsessed over it, if the shoe fits.... Congrats but Oh No! Can you reschedule? -

Again, blanket statement based on inaccurate facts. Just by looking at the timelines here on VJ - There are 43 filers from April, and 50% have not gotten an interview letter yet. That doesn't account for those who never came back and updated their timeline, or those who never created one (such as yourself), or those who never found VJ. Knowing what's happening is key - and basing answers on what is been presented as the avg USCIS processing time is never accurate, because there is no such thing as an average time - it takes what it takes, and a zillion things can speed it up or slow it down. Presenting a statement as fact can panic those that don't know better or fully understand. -

Please don't make blanket statements like that that are inaccurate. First, there are many still waiting for interview who filed in April or before - you can see so just by going to the immigration timelines on the site. Second, not everyone has the benefit of finding VJ, so there are many people who are waiting that aren't on here. Third, for someone newer to the immigration process, you are potentially causing panic if they haven't received the interview date because they start to worry about why they haven't when everyone else has - Your statement that 90% should have gotten their date is based on what? Additionally, please update your own timeline - Where are you in the process? -

There are people that filed before April who are still waiting - and all we can count are the ones who post here on VJ. We filed April 22nd and are still waiting. -

Thank you! That's what I thought - but you know how this process goes - do one thing and then have a massive panic attack thinking you made an error, lol 🤪
