  1. And finally, and in less than 3 months, I am a US citizen!!! On June 29 I had my Oath Ceremony (Fairfax Office - Washington, DC). I am grateful for this opportunity and happy that the process was fast and smooth. Well done USCIS. Our records showed nothing is outstanding at this time. Biometric notice attached that they are going to be reused. 04/29/24: Interview Was Scheduled. 06/03/24: Interview 06/07/24: We scheduled you for an oath ceremony for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. 06/29/24: Oath Ceremony, Certificate of Naturalization was issued.
  2. Great news!! I had my combo interview for I-751/N-400 last June 3 (Washington DC). I was approved in the spot and my ROC and Citizenship was approved on June 6. A day after I also got the oath ceremony date for June 29. Super fast and smooth process!! I applied for Citizenship on March 5, 2024.
  3. Forgot to update my case! On April 29 I got an interview notice for June 3! Almost there!! 4. Lately lots of folks have them reused... but I still didn't get a notification.
  5. Fairfax, DC area? Several folks applied these months and it is taking less than normal, around 3 months.
  6. Filled last Monday 03/04 online for citizenship!! I am in the DC area (Fairfax office). Nothing yet about biometrics being reused 😕 Naturalization 03/04/24: N-400 submitted online; Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Sent.

  9. Today I got two letters in the mail: one stating my biometrics will be reused, and another one to set up my online account. Am I still expecting to receive something else? 10. Also, they are increasing the fee for I-751 soon to more than double the actual price, so that is something to consider.
  11. I got this notification. Package accepted 5 days ago. I haven't even received letters in my mail yet. What does really mean?
  12. Important update in my case!! I got a SMS saying my case was received, with a receipt number starting with IOE... Also, no issues with our credit card. Timeline update: 03/20 package sent 03/24 package delivered in Phoenix Lockbox (FedEx) 03/28 Case was received (IOE). Sms received at 3 am

  14. This! This is probably the most reasonable explanation for that.
  15. I agree with the credit card thing. If USCIS allows us to use them it is because it works ok, I never had issues with our card. Instead of making people freak out, maybe get a better card that can handle these types of charges.
  16. Joining the party! ROC package sent today. Timeline update: 03/20 package sent
  17. You're all right. ROC comes first. I was just curious about the future impact of my personal situation. Thanks for the answers
  18. We'll do that indeed. As I mentioned, our marriage is, and has been, very solid, even dealing with this temporal separation right now. Thank you!
  19. Not yet, but I have to apply for I-751 in 2 months. So by this same logic, I will lose my green card too because I had to move out of state to attend the only University that allows me to get my license? That is madness,
  20. But I am not moving permanently, I am a student, not sure if that is considered an exception. I do not use a car here that's why I didn't bother to switch my DL, but I will take a look into that.
  21. My spouse didn't move with me because of her job basically, especially when she is the only income now. Worth to mention that she is in the military (but part-time only, not on active duty). The rush is because for my field, being a citizen would allow me to have access to better jobs or things I want to do.
