I am adjusting status from a tourist visa. No one looks for proof of immigration status. Moreover, I live in a state that has opened vaccinations to everyone 16 years old and older.
Here's my experience:
- Dose #1 (drive through vaccination center): no IDs checked anywhere. The staff only asked me if I was there for dose #1 or #2, and gave me a vaccination card with my name and birthday.
- Dose #2 (Walgreens appointment): staff asked for my ID and health insurance. I presented my original passport and insurance card.
Don't be afraid, every person vaccinated makes it safer for the country as whole.
This was really helpful, thank you so much.
And thank you to everyone who took the time to respond. You all helped a lot, hope you have a good day.

I live in NC, I just got my vaccine today. I don't have any of my things either, they didn't ask for ID either.
It depends on your state, but if your group can get it, you should be fine to.
Thank you, this makes me feel better. I went with my partner to get their shot and they needed both id and insurance card, obviously I don't have either so I didn't know if I'd just bring my passport instead or what? But I guess we don't need it. Did you just say you're waiting for your green card? Thanks for your help. 💙

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows whether people that are currently awaiting AOS are eligible for the covid vaccine? I know that eligibility varies on each state but as I'm still waiting for my SSN, EAD and green card as I filed for all of those together, and currently possess none of those, I don't know if I'll be able to get it? Also is anyone else in this position? What are you guys up to? I wanted to at least volunteer while waiting for my work permit but I couldn't because we're not supposed to do that until we have all the papers so I'm just waiting. Thanks in advance to anyone that responds. Have a lovely day.

Businesses and other offices will start reopening in the next months or so. I would be optimistic that courthouses or county offices would be able to officiate weddings by then. USCIS is still functional; only the "in-person" services are on halt, so applying for AOS is unaffected. I would advise you to watch the situation in the state you plan on getting married in, whether things are opening up (see local news etc) , then go fly by then.
Omg this is so helpful! Thank you so much! You have no idea how much this helped! Thanks again!

Sorry if this was asked already, I went through a lot of the pages before posting and couldn't find any information. Anyway, I have a K1 visa issued already that expires in August. Because of the most recent ban, and courthouses not working, I'm unsure if I can travel to the US, and after entering, can we even get married right now and apply for adjustment of status? I wouldn't want to risk the 90 days passing and not being able to stay. Also do you think this will be resolved by August? Any information or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone who might answer. Good luck with your own journey.

Hi everyone. I haven't seen anyone asking about this, please comment your opinions. Once(whenever that may be) the Europe travel ban is lifted, has anyone thought about how they'd go about travelling safely(perhaps wearing a protective hazmat suit? Lol idk), and what they'd do after entering the country? I do not want to risk getting infected during the flights and then exposing my Fiancée and their family to it. Like just no. We've talked about not meeting up for 15 days after I come and me staying at a hotel until we're sure I'm not going to infect or spread the virus. Not only would that be financially annoying but also emotionally cause imagine being in the same place after months of this process and then not being able to be together. So does anyone have any other suggestions or better ideas on how to make sure that I keep them safe and healthy upon my arrival? Or do we stick with the 15 days apart just in case? Thank you and good luck to everyone else struggling with this mess

Same here. June and still waiting for EAD or any other green card updates. Does anyone have like any idea when we could expect updates? I was thinking May, but it didn't happen. June? I don't wanna get my hopes up.
