  1. We sent to Pheonix. Took them 25 days to cash my check. It can take a while.
  2. This is what I was asking about. Both of your cases show biometrics complete. Our 485 case still shows biometrics incomplete. When I watched the lady doing the scans, she tried to scan the bar code and it didn’t work. So I watched her enter the receipt number manually. The letter had the receipt numbers for both the 485 and the 765. And she only entered one. I am worried only the EAD case will get credit for the biometrics. Am I being unnecessarily concerned?
  3. We completed biometrics today. 8 March. Question: under the myProgress tabs, the I-765 has a checkmark for biometrics step completed. The other 2 still show Step 2 of 3 (current step): Attend biometrics appointment (if necessary) as not completed. Is that normal? I would have thought all 3 would show that step completed.
  4. I see in your post that you live in Dallas? And sent your package to Phoenix? Look at this site below. If you are in Texas, you should have sent to the Texas lockboxes. https://www.uscis.gov/uscis-lockbox-filing-locations-chart-for-certain-family-based-forms They will either forward your package to the correct location, that will take a while, or they will send your complete package back and you can then send it to the correct place.
  5. You should update your timeline so we can see when you did things. But, we submitted to the Phoenix lockbox as well and it was 25 days before they did anything. As long as you have delivery confirmation, they will eventually do something, even if it’s sending the package back.
  6. We received our letter with the rescheduled biometrics. This Friday. Groovy.
  7. I have seen posts here from those that did that successfully. But when I did a Google maps search for the location, it specifically said they do not accept walkins. I don’t know if that’s generic for all the sites, but it would suck to drive all the way there just to be turned away.
  8. Same here. Letter was dated 20 Feb. arrived 8 days later. I’m just perturbed that we have to go all the way to B’ham for biometrics. I can get fingerprinted for an FBI background check or TSA Precheck in Huntsville. But we gotta drive 2 hours to do that for USCIS.
  9. Yes. Same thing happened to us. I mean exactly. We got our letter on the afternoon of the 28th and we were scheduled to have our appt that morning. On the letter it has a phone number to call if you missed your appt. We called and the lady told us many people miss their appts. She took our info and told us an agent would contact us by email within ‘72 business hours’. We aren’t sure if that means 3 business days or 9 business days. Heh heh. It’s been 2 business days and nothing yet.
  10. We had the same thing. Our biometrics appt letter arrived the afternoon of the 28th. Letter said appt was for 10am on the 28th. Good job govt! Called the number on the letter to reschedule. Still awaiting an email with new appt. Letters were dated 20 Feb. took 8 days to get to us. 🤷‍♂️
  11. Received RFE for our I-864. Redid it, uploaded the new I-864 package with supporting docs last nite. Now waiting for our rescheduled biometrics appt.
  12. Thanks guys. Filled it out as best as I could. Paid a little cash to have a well respected user here too review it and sent it in. Pins and needles here.
  13. Thank you to Crazy Cat and K1VisaHopeful. Your suggestions are great and appreciated. i will review the instructions once again and give it my best shot.
  14. Thank you for your responses. I will check the things you listed. Much appreciated!
  15. Today was a mixture of good and bad. The good: Received our letter for online case tracking and set that up. Received our biometrics appt letter. The bad: Biometrics was scheduled for today, 5 hours before we got the letter. Called and rescheduled. We haven’t received it, but the case shows an RFE coming. Statement of support. Please see my post in the general AOS section, maybe you have input.
  16. We filed our AOS and received an RFE, could not verify sponsor meets minimum requirements for sponsorship. I am a retired, disabled veteran. I receive VA disability and SSDI payments every month that totals a great deal more than the minimum requirement of $26k. I do not file tax returns, as my VA disability is non-taxable and my SSDI total is below taxable threshold. The iRS refuses to accept returns from me, because nothing is pair or owed. I sent letters from VA and SSA stating how much I receive every month, and noted those totals on our 864 form. I'm not sure what else to send. Do I just send another copy of the same 864 with the same supporting evidence and hope they figure it out? Thank you for your advice, Michael
  17. We sent to Phoenix box, arrived 26 Jan. Took 25 days to cash our check, still no text notifications nor mail notice. Been 29 days since delivered.
  18. USCIS didn’t cash or check until 25 days after delivery. I know it hard, but it will happen.
  19. Well, well, well. 25 days after delivery to the dock, they cashed our check today. No text yet, but a positive step nonetheless.
  20. That’s great. Happy to hear that. That leaves only us now…
  21. Looks like there are 3 of us in limbo. All I can guess is that our package was rejected for some reason and it takes them a few weeks to send it back. If so, at least we will know what is missing and can resubmit without issue. I hope.
