  1. If you mean ILs for IR1/CR1 cases, check below for existing thread on the topic. ILs were sent out on March 16th --

  6. Correct -- ok to file I-130/I485 concurrently while F2A is current on the visa bulletin (table B for AOS, as of today). Could change next month.
  7. I also think that the advice to stay in school is meant as a safety net for your husband, so he can remain in legal status in case his AOS is denied or you divorce. But if you two believe those are unlikely, then there is no reason for him to stay in school if he doesn't want to pursue further education.
  8. *** Moved from IR1/CR1 Process & Procedures to the China regional forum, for country-specific input ***
  9. *** Moved from General Immigration-Related Discussion to the SSN sub-forum ***
  10. If you don't get SSN card after 1 month from US entry, go to an SSA office and apply for SSN in person.
  11. The consulate cannot go against the visa bulletin, regardless of what they may or may not have said in their email. If your PD is not current, you cannot be issued a visa. Full stop.
  12. *** Moved from NVC forum to US Embassy & Consulate Discussion ***
  13. *** Moved from What Visa Do I Need to AOS from Work/Student/Tourist Visas forum ***
  14. *** Moved from K1 Process & Procedures to AOS from K1 Visas forum ***
  15. *** Moved from Bringing Family of USC forum to Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits, where similar topics about possible marriage fraud are discussed ***
  16. Below is a list of recent threads that track the NVC DQ dates that received IV ILs for specific consulates. This is meant to help members find a thread that addresses the question, "My case is DQ, how long til I get my IL?" Note that this thread is intended as an index of tracking threads, not a DQ-to-IL tracker itself. If you have specific info about DQ to IL wait time, or are looking for such info, please post in the relevant thread listed below, not on this thread. If there is no tracking thread for your consulate, feel free to create one, so I can add it to the list later. If you know of an active tracking thread that is not on this list or a thread that is more active than the one listed here, let me know as well. DQ - Documentarily Qualified IL - Interview Letter IV - Immigrant Visa
  17. Hi all, Has anybody been able to get NBI clearance recently without an appointment? Or with an appointment but booked for a future date? It's my first time applying since NBI switched to the online system. I'm going to book an appointment but the earliest available slots are already in June I checked all the NBI centers within 2 hours driving distance from my house. I was hoping we'd be able to submit all the NVC-required documents by end of April, but it looks like the NBI clearance will set us back by a lot if I can only get it on my appointment date. If walk-ins are strictly not allowed, I may try just tagging the NBI clearance as not yet available, with a note to NVC that I will bring it to the interview.
