  5. Nope, as long as her ticket matches whatever name is on her passport. To link the passport name with her GC name, have her bring a copy of your US marriage certificate whenever she travels.
  6. Without ROM, the consulate won't let her get a PH passport in her married name, regardless of what name is on her GC. She can get a passport in her maiden name, though.

  12. If you mean marriage certificates on PSA paper, then you're good to go with that requirement. But if the MC you have now has the NSO (not PSA) logo, you should order new ones for upload to NVC. As for CENOMAR/CEMAR, you don't get to choose which, actually. As you've seen, there is only the CENOMAR option on the psaserbilis website. The type of document that will be delivered will depend on whether PSA has any record of the person's marriage(s). So your wife will get a CEMAR (Advisory on Marriage), and your stepdaughter will get a CENOMAR. I got a CENOMAR because we didn't do ROM, so PSA has no record of my US marriage. CENOMAR/CEMAR is not required at NVC stage. I didn't upload mine prior to DQ. But it is definitely required for the interview. So make sure to upload a scan of your wife's and your stepdaughter's CENOMAR/CEMAR to CEAC prior to their interview. Up to you if you want to upload them before or after DQ. It won't harm their cases either way. Note also that CENOMAR/CEMAR is only valid for 1 year from issue date. I've also seen VJ reports where the interviewing officer wanted one that was issued within 6 months, so best not to request CENOMAR/CEMAR too early.

  17. That's a non-issue. US immigration agencies will not question your choice of visa process. No need to explain. You're married, so CR1 is the appropriate path for your spouse. End of story. Focus on providing quality evidence that your relationship is genuine, primarily evidence of your time spent together in person. I agree with the others above that you should drop the gift receipts.

  21. It's a generic reminder for all immigrant visa holders who may be waiting for their plastic GC but haven't actually paid the immigrant fee. It happens -- we get questions here on VJ about why the GC hasn't arrived yet, then find out later that the poster didn't even know about the immigrant fee 🤦‍♀️ In your son's case, it's safe to ignore that reminder, or any other reminder about paying the immigrant fee as a green card is not necessary for him.
  22. But what reason would you have to get priority over all the other Americans also pursuing visas for their spouses through the consulate in Ankara? That's the line your wife is at, the CR1/IR1 interview line -- all applicants are spouses of Americans. And it's Ankara's policy to prioritize applicants who are legal residents of Turkey. This RUB sub-forum has many reports from other Americans who successfully requested their beneficiary's cases to be transferred to Jerusalem or Almaty. Maybe you could try those other consulates instead.
  23. *** Removed another related thread. Please post your related questions/updates in this thread to keep the discussion in one place. ***
  24. Just wait for the US passport. It would be a waste to pay for a plastic GC he doesn't need. Remember that your son already has a green card anyway -- the CR2/IR2 visa endorsed with CBP entry stamp in his Canadian passport.
  25. Upload a corrected I-864 form, removing your spouse beneficiary from the list of household members combining income. Then send a request to NVC via their public inquiry form, to remove your spouse as a household member on CEAC.
