Need your help for my new baby born
Chancy replied to Atto's topic in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
*** Moved from IR1/CR1 Progress Reports to Bringing Family of USC forum, where topics about IR2 cases are discussed *** Form I-130. Clarify with the embassy if they will allow you to file the I-130 with them directly, not through USCIS. -
K1 Fiancé Income Requirement for visa

*** Moved from General Immigration-Related Discussion to the Philippines regional forum, for country-specific input *** For adult visa applicants up to 59 years old, only the following vaccinations are required -- Td/Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Flu (seasonal), COVID. Your fiancee must get her COVID vaccination prior to her medical appointment at SLEC Manila. All other vaccinations she can get for no extra cost at her SLEC appointment (ie, cost already included in the standard visa medical fee). For the K2 child, same deal -- must get COVID vaccination before SLEC medical, all others will be administered at no extra cost by SLEC. Check this table for which vaccinations will be given based on the child's age -- https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/panel-physicians/vaccinations.html#tbl1

El Salvador Medical Appointment
Chancy replied to Missie1230's topic in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
This is confusing. The CDC's official policy for visa applicants with suspicious chest x-ray is to go through sputum testing first. Wait time for result is 8 weeks, NO treatment required yet. If the sputum test result is negative, no treatment required for US immigration purposes. So if your mother tested negative for TB, why was she prescribed a 6-month treatment? -
*** Duplicate post & reply split off from tracking thread and merged with this thread on the same topic. Please post related questions about your situation in this thread. *** 1. For mailing address/phone number, either is fine. 2. Select 1 - Yes, for both I-864 forms. 3. For item# 7, enter your individual income only, as instructed in the form. Use the income figure documented on your evidence of current income, such as your pay stub or employment letter. Note that if you intend to use only your income for sponsorship, you must submit your 1040 + W2 + 1099 + all other schedules, along with the I-864. An I-864A from your wife is not required at NVC stage if your individual income qualifies, but it could be required by the consulate. You'll find out only at the interview. If you want to avoid delay at the interview stage due to this, you may submit I-864A preemptively at NVC stage. I recommend reading and re-reading the I-864 instructions, particularly pages 7 to 9 -- https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-864instr.pdf

Check with international banks with branches both in Sweden and Japan, like Citibank. Maybe they can help or suggest options. -
Is this it?
Chancy replied to MillieIKC's topic in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas
*** Moved from K1 Process & Procedures to AOS from K1 Visas forum *** Congratulations! I recommend visiting the nearest SSA office ASAP to get an unrestricted SSN card (ie, one without the notation "Valid for Work Only With DHS Authorization"). -
K1 Visa birth certificate
Chancy replied to Atsvo's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
You need to submit a certificate of acceptance of report of birth of a non-Japanese citizen, with the seal from the Japanese Municipal Office with your birth record. Refer to the Notes section under Birth Certificates here -- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Japan.html Figure out a way to get that certificate with official seal. Not being able to send the required payment to the Japanese issuing office is not an acceptable excuse for US immigration. Check with the Japanese embassy in Sweden if they can assist you with obtaining the certificate. -

Korea criminal background check
Chancy replied to Yoshie's topic in National Visa Center (Dept of State)
Instead of emailing NVC, re-upload the Bomjoikyungryeokjeungmyungseo to CEAC. Also upload a letter referencing the DOS Reciprocity page for South Korea and highlight how the certificate copy shows that it is from the correct issuing authority. Then press "Submit". -
I-130, I-485 questions (Merged)
Chancy replied to lucy91's topic in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas
*** Moved from Bringing Family of USC forum to AOS from Work/Student/Tourist Visas forum -- topic is about AOS of parent *** You're supposed to list all the legal names that the beneficiary ever used in their life. Under "Beneficiary's Full Name", list your mother's current legal name. This could be the name listed on her current passport. Then your mother's maiden name (and all other names she used in her civil documents) should be listed under the section for "Other Names Used". Because she changed her name at least once in her life, you must also submit a copy of her legal name change document, along with the I-130. Examples: marriage certificate, divorce decree, adoption decree, name change court order. -
