  1. *** Moved from K1 Process & Procedures to K1 Progress Reports ***
  2. It's not required. But if your spouse has a denied I-751 and I-290B, she could have been sent an NTA for removal proceedings. FOIA might give more information on all the correspondence that USCIS sent. I also recommend hiring a competent immigration lawyer as this is not a straightforward case, given your spouse's immigration history. Is your spouse still in the US?

  4. *** Moved from IR1/CR1 Process & Procedures to US Embassy & Consulate Discussion, as the topic is about interview procedures at a specific consulate ***
  5. If the interview will be at CDJ, their published checklist says to bring the confirmation page for the DS-260 -- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/CDJ-Ciudad-Juarez.html#pre_interview_checklist
  6. It's possible, though I'm not sure if that's the norm. I've seen reports from VJ members who entered on other non-immigrant visas (not K1) get new A-numbers after applying for AOS.
  7. Can you please clarify? Did you not get a CR1 visa sticker in your passport? As far as I know, the US doesn't issue electronic visas (E-visa) yet.
  8. Recent experience of someone who successfully applied for SSN at the second SSA office after being misinformed by staff at the first one --

  12. Technically, police certificates are valid for 2 years from issue date for US immigration purposes. But the consulate has discretion to ask for more recently-issued police certificates, as you have seen. I recommend getting a new one to avoid delays from getting 221(g) for it at the visa interview.

  14. No to all 3. But you do need to count your child under part 5, item 4 (dependent children), even if your child's name is not listed anywhere on the I-864.
  15. *** Moved from IR1/CR1 Process & Procedures to Working & Traveling During US Immigration -- topic is about international travel after US entry with IR1 visa ***
  16. Your F24 visa class means your category falls under F2B (unmarried adult son/daughter of LPR). Your case Priority Date (PD) is not yet current on Table A of the visa bulletin. For Jun 2023, only F2B cases with PD Sep 2015 or earlier will be eligible for visa interview -- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2023/visa-bulletin-for-june-2023.html Until your PD becomes current, you will not get an interview appointment. You have around 2+ years more to wait.

  19. Derivatives' birth certificates will be required at NVC stage, 15+ years or so from I-130 filing date. More than enough time to get the birth certificates corrected.
  20. *** Moved from IR1/CR1 Progress Reports to the regional forum, for Mexico-specific input ***
  21. Yes, put your name in part 4, item 2 and fill out part 6, if you intend to sign as form preparer.
