  1. *** Moved from US Embassy & Consulate Discussion to Bringing Family of LPR forum, where similar topics about F2A retrogression are discussed ***
  2. *** Moved from Bringing Family of USC forum to US Embassy & Consulate Discussion, as the topic is about a specific consulate ***
  3. *** Moved from IR1/CR1 Process & Procedures to COVID-19 forum *** Check the thread below --
  4. *** Moved from IR1/CR1 Process & Procedures to the regional forum, for Mexico-specific input ***
  5. As mentioned above, unless the case has been expedited, NVC (or the consulate) will schedule the visa interview. If you did not expedite, you do NOT book the CR1/IR1 interview appointment yourself. Your spouse beneficiary must bring the originals of all the civil documents uploaded to CEAC, plus PSA CENOMAR/CEMAR. The interview letter from NVC/USEM will have detailed instructions on what to bring to the interview.
  6. Not required. But since your 2022 tax returns/transcripts will be required at the interview, might as well prepare a new I-864 with updated financial information.
  7. *** Moved from Bringing Family of USC forum to AOS from K1 Visas forum ***
  8. List the beneficiary's updated address info on the DS-260 and I-864 forms at NVC stage, after the I-130 has been approved. No need to update the petition nor inform USCIS.
  9. Does the petitioner have a criminal background? Prior arrests/convictions related to sexual assault or domestic abuse?
  10. *** Moved from AOS Progress Reports to AOS from Work/Student/Tourist Visas forum *** No need to notify CBP. They even say explicitly in the email address "DoNotReply".
  11. *** Moved from US Embassy & Consulate Discussion to the MENA regional forum, for Morocco-specific input ***
  12. *** Moved from IR1/CR1 Progress Reports to IR1/CR1 Process & Procedures ***
  13. Only the 1st dose in the Hep B vaccine series is required for the visa medical, assuming the 1st dose was taken recently, not years ago.
  14. Do the IR5 applicants already have valid Schengen visas?
  15. *** Removed related thread. Please post your related questions/updates in this thread to keep the discussion in one place. ***
  16. Being a good student of the I-130 instructions means knowing that certification by the US embassy is NOT required. As mentioned by the other posters, anyone who is fluent in English and the other language may translate the documents to be submitted to USCIS. No embassy certification necessary.
  17. Yes -- put $0 for current annual income if your current employment will not continue after you move back to the US. Your spouse beneficiary's foreign income also cannot be used for the I-864 if it will not continue from the same company after he immigrates to the US.
  18. Child is a derivative beneficiary? What visa category?
  19. Remind him to answer the civics questions using the exact words from the official USCIS test guide. Do NOT paraphrase. There's a recent report of another LPR from the UK who failed the civics test for paraphrasing the answers.
  20. *** Moved from IR1/CR1 Process & Procedures to Bringing Family of USC forum, where topics about IR2 (children of USC) cases are discussed ***
  21. *** Removed unanswered duplicate thread in a different sub-forum. For future reference, please do not create multiple threads on the same topic. If you mistakenly post on the wrong forum, click "Report post" to request your thread to be moved. FYI ***
  22. *** Moved from What Visa Do I Need to General Immigration-Related Discussion ***
  23. *** Moved from ROC General Discussion to General Immigration-Related Discussion, where similar topics are discussed *** Not quite the same situation, but @jackiegringa has experience with misdelivered GC --
  24. At the consulate on the day of your visa interview, update the DS-260 with your new intended address. Also, notify the CBP officer when you first enter the US with your immigrant visa. The CBP officer might not ask, so make sure to volunteer the info about your new mailing address.
