  3. Not a dumb question but maybe a bit premature if you haven't even filed any forms yet. For K1, your income will first come into play only at the interview, maybe 18 to 24 months after submitting the I-129F petition. Anyway, "household" in the context of the K1 process only includes your children and other tax dependents, if any. Other than those, they don't count towards your household, even if they live in the same house as you. And yes, you (the petitioner) will need to show evidence of enough income to sustain your beneficiary plus all your current household members. The other people in your household are not required to contribute at all, although there is an option (not mandatory) for them to co-sponsor.
  4. *** Moved from IR1/CR1 Process & Procedures to US Embassy & Consulate Discussion, as the topic is about procedures at a specific consulate *** Have your wife submit a request through the File Transfer Request Form -- https://japan2.usembassy.gov/e/visa/tvisa-form-iv-transfer.html Please submit this online form if you wish to have your immigrant/fiancée visa file transferred under the following circumstances: You wish to have your visa file transferred from another Embassy/Consulate to Tokyo/Naha. You wish to have your visa file transferred between U.S. Embassy Tokyo and Consulate General Naha So yes, Naha does process immigrant visa cases and they do accommodate transfer requests from Tokyo. My understanding is that it's mainly for family members of US military members assigned in Okinawa, but it wouldn't hurt your wife's case to request for transfer anyway. Please do update us on the outcome.

  7. Enough for NVC, yes. As to whether it will be enough for the consulate, you will only find out at the interview.

  18. @Captain Ewok -- May I request for these two features to be restored if it's not too much trouble? I have workarounds now, but I'm hoping the features could be available again like they were before the update. Copy Link on the "..." dropdown menu for comments --> Workaround is to click on Share, then right click on the URL, then click Copy. When clicking on a thread from custom stream results, automatically scroll to first unread post in the thread --> Workaround is to click on "Go to first unread post" for every thread.
