  1. No, because the child's birth certificate is required. The proof of pregnancy is required to show that the mother listed on the birth certificate is indeed the child's biological parent.
  2. Another vote for CR1. Marry in the US when you visit on ESTA, then return to the UK. Or marry via Utah online wedding when your gf visits you in the UK. The thread below might be helpful if you choose a wedding while in the US --
  3. *** Moved from Bringing Family of USC forum to IR1/CR1 Process & Procedures, where topics about I-130 for spouse of USC are discussed ***
  4. Check the CRBA application info here -- https://mx.usembassy.gov/consular-report-of-birth-abroad-crba-checklist-lista-de-verificacion-para-cita-de-informe-consular-de-nacimiento-en-el-exterior-crba/
  5. Thanks for the correction. I should have said that the passport won't be processed until the CRBA is approved.
  6. If you mean an updated I-864 or supporting documents from your existing joint sponsor, then yes -- ok to just upload the updated documents under the section for "Additional AOS Supporting Documentation". If you mean replacing your joint sponsor with a different sponsor, not sure if the same will be enough. You may try just uploading to the additional documents section, then see what the CO says at the interview.
  7. Can't apply for both at the same time. You will need to apply for your child's CRBA first. Once you have the CRBA, you may apply for the US passport and SSN. In the meantime, start collecting documentary evidence of your US physical presence, to minimize delays when it comes time to apply for the CRBA.
  8. *** Removed off-topic post already posted in another thread ***
  9. *** Moved from K1 Progress Reports to the Canada regional forum, where similar topics about getting RCMP police certificate are discussed ***
  10. *** Moved from K1 Progress Reports to the Philippine regional forum, for country-specific input *** Once your CEAC case status shows "Ready", submit the DS-160, pay the MRV fee, and book the K1 interview. Once you have the interview schedule, book the medical at SLEC.
  11. *** Moved from K1 Progress Reports to K1 Process & Procedures ***
  12. Not a cause for rejection.
  13. CRBA is required to get your child a US passport from a consulate in Mexico.
  14. If you want to, you may even leave the US forever on the day you get your US passport. The US government won't hold that against you and won't revoke your US citizenship. Just make sure to file your US taxes. The US tax filing threshold (which is updated by the IRS every year) is the same whether you live/work in the US or in the UK. Note also that filing US taxes does not necessarily mean paying US taxes, because of the exclusion/credit linked above.
  15. *** Merged related threads. Please post your questions/updates related to this topic in this thread to keep the discussion in one place. ***
  16. *** Moved from General Immigration-Related Discussion to AOS from Work/Student/Tourist Visas Progress Reports, where topics about AOS timeframe estimates are discussed ***
  17. *** Moved from K1 Process & Procedures to K1 Progress Reports ***
  18. Any chance the PDF file is password-protected? Also, is the document in the correct orientation (portrait/landscape)?
  19. I highly doubt you would get an RFE from NVC about your employment history. That said, you still should correct your employment info prior to your interview with the consul officer. You can update your DS-260 at the consulate on the day of your visa interview.
  20. *** Merged related threads. Please post your questions/updates related to this topic in this thread to keep the discussion in one place. ***
  21. *** Moved from What Visa Do I Need to Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits, where similar topics about I-864 obligation and divorce are discussed ***
  22. Except for expedited cases, spouse visa applicants at CDJ are not allowed to pick their own interview schedule, regardless of cancellations by other applicants.
  23. *** Removed post implying way to commit immigration fraud. Reminder that this site's Terms of Service, that all members agreed to upon signing up, prohibits posts that "Condone or instruct, either directly or indirectly, others on how to commit fraudulent or illegal immigration activities in any way, shape, manner or method." -- VJ Moderation ***
  24. Current estimate for wait time for visa interview schedule at Ciudad Juarez is 12+ months counting from NVC review date (ie, "Documentarily Qualified" date), not petition filing date. That's just interview wait time, not counting wait time for the visa after interview. I expect you'll have lots of time to get CRBA and US passport for your child, before your wife even gets her interview schedule.
