  6. Have your daughter request her mother's death certificate online from PSA. Your daughter should bring the death certificate to her K2 visa interview.
  7. *** Moved from US Citizenship General Discussion to Progress Reports *** Congratulations and thanks for sharing!
  8. *** Merged yet another related thread. @R&OC It's understandable that you are anxious about the delays with your children's cases, and you are free to ask questions here. But please do not create any more new threads related to this topic. As you have been instructed previously, keep your questions/updates related to your children's N-600 cases in this thread only, to save members' time having to ask for any relevant background info again. -- VJ Moderation ***

  10. The payment features will be enabled when the case PD becomes current on table B of the visa bulletin. Until then, you just wait. Nothing else you can do to advance the case.

  12. That may be true for other consulates, but this is the Philippine regional forum. I had hoped you would have remembered by now that Manila does NOT allow applicants to proceed with the visa interview before completing the medical. In all my time here on VJ and from reading old posts in this sub-forum, I have not seen any exception to this rule in Manila. You're right -- I forgot about tickets to fly in for the interview. If that's the case, then OP may have to extend their trip to Manila to wait for when IGRA tests become available.
  13. IGRA test is TB screening that SLEC administers to child applicants. Adult applicants have chest x-ray, instead of IGRA test. Manila requires K2 applicants (even 9-year-olds) to attend the interview at the embassy, mainly to collect their biometrics. If your K2 has not completed SLEC medical (including IGRA test) prior to the interview date, you will be required to book another interview appointment for the child. Hopefully you purchased refundable tickets. This situation is an example of why the Department of State advises all applicants not to book non-refundable tickets before getting the visa on hand.
  14. You may upload photos if you want to, but not required. I uploaded additional bona fide relationship evidence, including photos, the day before my interview. No idea if it helped, but it certainly didn't hurt my case. I was interviewed on time and my visa was issued a few days after.
  15. *** Removed hijack post already posted in another thread ***
  16. *** Merged related threads. Please post your questions/updates related to this topic in this thread to keep the discussion in one place. *** No, affidavits are considered weak evidence. Focus on stronger evidence of time spent together in person, such as passport stamps, boarding passes, receipts indicating you were together at the same location. Support with some photos of the two of you together at different events, along with photos of you two with friends and family. Our bona fide relationship evidence was just 12 pages, mostly consisting of passport stamps from our vacations and our photos together. We had no joint property, no leases, no children together. We didn't submit any 3rd-party affidavits. Our petition was approved without RFE.

  23. Typically, the consulate automatically extends the validity of the I-129F approval for up to a year. For your peace of mind, you may contact the consulate directly to request an extension, so you will have an email trail.
  24. *** Moved from Bringing Family of USC forum to US Embassy & Consulate Discussion, as the topic is about a specific consulate *** I recommend you ditch that asesoria migatoria, and comply with the official instructions from the embassy. San Salvador is one of the consulates that require a visit for biometrics and document screening separate from and prior to the appointment for visa interview. So yes, your mother must visit the embassy at least twice, as her fingerprints will be collected at the first visit. If she does not complete biometrics collection and document review before her scheduled interview, it may delay her case as she may be required to reschedule her interview appointment. This is spelled out in the published instructions from the embassy -- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/SNS-San-Salvador.html
