  1. *** Moved from USCIS Service Centers forum to General Immigration-Related Discussion *** No. Many airlines' IT systems have trouble with special characters (like hyphens) in names anyway, so they won't care about missing hyphens.
  2. End of step 9 -- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-8-scan-collected-documents/step-9-upload-and-submit-scanned-documents.html Note: "Documentarily Complete" = "Documentarily Qualified" (DQ)
  3. *** Moved from ROC General Discussion to Working & Traveling During US Immigration -- topic is about international travel for LPR ***

  5. *** Off-topic post & replies split off and merged with that poster's existing thread ***
  6. There's no filing fee for I-129F for K3 spouse. Just make sure to check the correct box for "Spouse (K-3 visa)" classification, and include a copy of your I-130 receipt notice in your I-129F package. The I-129F K3 will almost certainly be closed, but many VJ members reported that filing I-129F may have triggered their I-130 to be reviewed and approved faster. While there's no guarantee that it will work to nudge your I-130 processing, it won't hurt your case to file I-129F.
  7. That's a myth. Better if we don't propagate here on VJ the myth that having money in a bank account will help with a B visa application. There is nowhere on the DS-160 where the applicant is asked to provide bank account details. Also, consul officers are very unlikely to ask for any financial documents from a B visa applicant at the interview. They are aware that anyone can park loaned money in an account in the mistaken belief that it will help with their application.

  11. *** Moved from NVC forum to US Embassy & Consulate Discussion, as the topic is about interview scheduling at a specific consulate *** Sounds like a scam. You may write to NVC yourself using their public inquiry form, no need for a 3rd-party to write to NVC for you. Whether you or another person contacts NVC, there's no guarantee that you will get an interview appointment yet, as scheduling depends on the backlog at the consulate.
  12. Get a better paying job. Or set up a company in your home country. Or travel to other visa-requiring countries and return to your home country on time. Any of those could make your profile look better on the DS-160, but still don't guarantee that you will be granted a B visa.
  13. *** Moved from K1 Process & Procedures to AOS from K1 Visas forum *** If your DS-3025 is marked "Complete" and it has been less than 1 year since your visa medical date, then you do not need to have another medical in the US with a civil surgeon. Just include a copy of your completed DS-3025 in your I-485 package. Even if you decide to get another medical in the US for some reason, there is no need to repeat your vaccinations. If the vaccinations require a series of shots, the doctor may recommend you complete the series for medical reasons. But for immigration purposes, completing the full series of shots for vaccinations is typically not required.
  14. You're right. And yes, it would be prudent to get at least some written consent from the mother's parents.
  15. Reminder that there's a 1-year deadline from K1 visa issuance date to complete the K2 visa process. Your wife-to-be might get lucky to have have AP or GC issued in time to return to the Philippines to accompany her children, if necessary. But I recommend you both prepare for the possibility that she won't have either AP or GC to be able to travel freely out of the US within 1 year. In any case, each child needs their own DS-160 and separate MRV fee payments. All K2 applicants (even kids below 14 yo) need to attend the embassy interview, mainly for biometrics collection.
  16. Technically, DSWD travel clearance is not required for a child who is emigrating, like a K2 visa holder. But I recommend you get the travel clearance anyway, just to avoid hassle at the airport. Reminder also that you and your daughter both need to present CFO certificates at exit immigration. Lastly, have your daughter's birth certificate and her mother's death certificate on hand at the airport, in case the BI officer asks.
  17. That's going to be tough, as the guy has amazing buns 😍 I should stop there, since VJ is a family-friendly site... Also, it might be my fault -- earlier in our marriage, I told him one of his husbandly duties is to keep me away from temptation. I didn't think he would take it so seriously! 😆
  18. Recently, MrChancy encouraged me to play games on my phone whenever we go out on a drive (he drives, I navigate). He said it's to keep my eyes away from GS signs that tempt me steer us to "dangerous" detours 😑
  19. *** Moved from IR1/CR1 Progress Reports to IR1/CR1 Process & Procedures *** As your wife is not in the US, adjustment of status is not a legal option for her. Note that this site's Terms of Service prohibits us from discussing any means that could involve fraudulently bypassing the legal immigration process for beneficiaries currently outside the US. Unfortunately, it seems like you filled out that section of the I-130 incorrectly. This could potentially result in USCIS requiring an I-824 from you, delaying your wife's visa process for a year or so. Hopefully not.
  20. Yeah, don't pay much attention to the USCIS estimate. It will likely fluctuate wildly during your petition processing.

  23. Depends on which form you filed. If you mean first plastic GC was not delivered after payment of $220 immigrant fee and US entry with immigrant visa -- you should select form number "OS155A" and enter the IOE# of the immigrant fee receipt. If you mean GC renewal/replacement was not delivered after I-90 was filed -- you should select form number "I-90" and enter the I-90 receipt number.
  24. Yes, your mom may contact USCIS to request a temporary I-551 (ADIT) stamp. USCIS mails those now, usually no need for in-person appointment --
