    TB Dots

Because the K2 child did not complete immunizations at SLEC, he will be required to get vaccinated and possibly undergo another medical by a civil surgeon in the US, to apply for a green card. At the US medical, he will have to repeat the IGRA test, which will likely show TB exposure. I have no idea what the civil surgeon will recommend for a child with TB exposure. It's possible that the civil surgeon will not sign an I-693 form for the child until he completes a 12-week preventive treatment for TB infection. You may be able to avoid another full medical in the US for the child by searching for a civil surgeon who will agree to do only the immunizations part of the I-693. Finding a civil surgeon willing to do that could be a challenge.
  9. Yes, that's one way to get SSN. But applying for SSN now before marriage could be much faster. With tax filing season coming up, would you really want to risk not having SSN for your husband before the filing deadline?
  10. I-94 is online now. No need to file. I-94 record should be generated automatically when your grandma is admitted on visitor visa. After US entry, check here -- https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/recent-search With IR5 visa, your mom will be admitted as an immigrant. As mentioned above, no I-94 record for immigrants.
  11. Just to confirm -- your fiance entered on K1 visa? If yes, does he already have SSN? If no SSN yet, I strongly recommend he go to an SSA office ASAP to apply for SSN. For K1, best to apply for SSN before getting married. Check this guide for the AOS process after getting married on K1 -- https://www.visajourney.com/guides/adjustment-of-status-k1-k3-visas/

The SLEC staff would have given your fiancee and her son specific instructions about further TB testing if any was required for the K2 child. If no such instructions were given and the K2 child was allowed to proceed with immunization, then it looks like the K2 child cleared the medical.

  22. Once you get the DQ email from NVC, you can ignore the status of individual upload items on CEAC. My spouse visa was approved back in 2021, yet the CEAC status of some of my documents still says "Submitted" to this day. As for joint sponsor's documents, originals are typically not required. Bring a scanned+printed copy of the documents to the interview, just in case. Re: domicile -- where does your wife physically reside? If she is in the US, it's unlikely that petitioner's domicile will even come up at the visa interview. If she lives outside the US, then yes, bring copies of as many US domicile evidence documents with her name as you can, to your interview.
