My Oath Ceremony took place in the Albany, NY office on 4/4/25. It lasted for 10-15 minutes. It was emotional and heartfelt. The officer leading it was very welcoming and made us feel proud. We were given a little American flag, a booklet with the Declaration of Independence and Constitution and an envelope containing the passport application form and voter’s registration. We had to hand in our green cards. Each of us was allowed one guest. This office was small so the ceremony room looked like a classroom or conference room—each of us and our guests sat down at a desk. After the intro speech by the officer, we had to stand up, put our right hand up and repeat after her the oath of allegiance. Then she allowed us to take some pictures and that was it I’m super pregnant so I was glad it was so fast but at the same time so meaningful. Happy last steps of your immigration journey to everyone else! and thank you for everything you all shared! It’s been extremely helpful all along!
