  1. 1. Each section can be done separately 2. It can take a few days for their system to update after payment is made. I think for us it took 3 days.
  2. The denials typically happen when people mistake 90 days as 3 months. For example, 2 years is Sept 15 and people file June 15. July and August are 31 day months, so they filed 2 days early (92 days). Another post I read is when someone purposely mailed it early with request to UPS/FedEx to deliver it at the 90 day date, but UPS/FedEx delivered it a day early.
  3. Your medical from your K1 interview should be valid as long as you file the AOS within 1 year of the medical.
  4. A4..Are you in the US or abroad? There have been reports of bottom parts being cut off on A4 paper when it is scanned. Either USPS Priority envelop or standard 9"x12" manila envelop would work for letter size paper.
  5. Mike E is bringing up points that would go through the mind of CBP agents. The are taught to suspect every visitor of trying to overstay unless they prove otherwise: return ticket, definitive tourist plans, weak or no ties to the US, etc It does not matter your specific circumstance - it's what CBP thinks that is important, because they have the power to deny entry and even revoke her B2 visa.
  6. K1 visa has no supplementary use. The CR1/IR1 visa becomes a temporary GC after endorsement. Not the same thing. EDIT: Worst case scenario, if the endorsing page gets stamped by the foreign country and if the OP needs to use the passport as a temporary GC, she may need to go to her local USCIS office and get an ADIT stamp.
  7. Contact your congressman. A nudge from the congressman's inquiry wouldn't hurt.
  8. The page opposite the visa is intentionally left blank for CBP to "endorse" your visa upon entry, allowing it to act as a temporary I-551. Technically, the other country's border agent could stamp on that blank page. Most tend to flip to a totally blank section (both pages blank) but it is possible. I am not sure how CBP would handle the endorsement in this scenario.
  9. The two answers are more or less the same: awaiting adjudication/case assign to an officer and is being reviewed. "Correspondence soon" is based on USCIS time, sort of the reverse of the scene from Star Trek 2: "hours seem like days, days seem like weeks". For USCIS, their "days" tend to be weeks and "weeks" tend to be months.
  10. If it's a scanned pdf, a quick trick is to "print" it as a pdf file.
  11. Is your petition outside normal processing time?
  12. Your security clearance is not relevant. If anything, it may take longer for them to verify it and dig into your past. Her birth certificate is not needed. The more non-relevant items you add, there is a chance things will take longer. USCIS likes to investigate submittals to see if there's conflicting information. Immigration timelines are cyclical. 20 years ago it could have taken 2 years, 10 years ago it could have taken 5 months. Current timelines are 18-24 months. The trend in the last 6 months shows increased processing times.
  13. Resets. You will get a warning email from the NVC when there is no activity for a year.
  14. The receipt from 2020 is the NOA1. At the bottom there should be an address for the USCIS service center. My congressman has a website for immigration inquiries, including a release form to download, print, sign, scan and email to his office. Check your congressman's webpage.
  15. Do you still have the NOA1 letter? On the bottom it should state the processing center. Also, I would contact your local congressman first. If nothing changes, consult a lawyer about WoM.
  16. Send it a day after she qualifies. NOA1 has been taking 2-4 weeks recently, and it will extend her GC by 48 months. You should wait for the biometrics appointment letter. If they re-use old biometrics, then you are golden. If not, then I suggest you wait and attend the bio appointment, unless she will return by that date. Bio appointments are around 6-8 weeks from filing, depending on work load of your local USCIS office.
  17. Did your father get a 221g after the interview? If yes, what does it say?
  18. If the delay is for several months, then start the NVC process now but don't complete it - don't submit all the documents - until about 4 months before your desired move date. If the delay is for a couple of years or more, follow the suggestions in the link @ROK2USA provided.
  19. When they send you the RFE for proof of consummating the marriage, and you send them photos and boarding passes/ticket receipt that clearly shows you met after the I-130 was submitted, your case will be denied. Marry, meet, and then submit the I-130. In that order.
