  1. Yes, since I moved to US only in 2020 (we were married before this time) and in 2021 we did not file jointly.
  2. Yep, I did. Most of the pictures together covers from when we met up to now. Also, car financing and insurance were done after marriage. Same for other items mentioned in the list
  3. I finally filled on 02/21 and they recieved the paperworks the day after. Here whay my hisband and I included in the package: - Joint car financing, car insurance, car title - Statement from our condominium proving that we are registred in the same condo unit - most recent HOA statements - 2022 Tax return - Health insurance beneficiaries - Tons of pictures of trips taken together (about 10 trips), of both legal and religious wedding, of parties with friends updated to 2023 - recipts of many reservations/flight tickets purchased togheter - 3 different affidavits from long time friends with supporting photos - Different reciepts of services/goods purchased, showing both our names - Certificate of legal/religious wedding - 2-pages statement telling how we met, about our relationship - Parking lot account showing that is under my name but payments are done through husband's bank account Do you think I sent a reasonable of solid proofs? Thank you, Lilly
  4. Definitely did not think you were rude. You just rose some curiosity in me. Try to be more specific, why would I need a lawyer? I read my previous post, and as far as we can all read, everyone agrees that the I-751 is an easy process if everything was done in bona fide and everything is filled properly.
  5. Why would I need a lawyer? I had one when filing for the GC since it was tons of paperwork. Now, it is much less, only one, plus we are still married together. Then, how would it take to receive the first notice granting me to travel abroad, after filing?
  6. Hi again everyone, I sent all the I-751 paperwork begininng of this week and from the mail tracking, I was notified that everything was delivered to the right USCIS center. What is going to happen now? Am I going to receive a recipt saying that everything was simply received? that the USCIS is going to take on my case? or, I am going to be notified only if some RFE are needed or that my case has been approved? I have not found any usefull info online and also signing in my personal USCIS account nothing has showed up yet. I'd like to know what to expect in the near future. Thanks!
  7. This is where my doubt is from. Many people have only shared updated documents, as far as I read, others included also the past ones. Fortunately, I already have all the past documents ready at hand, only need to print them. I'll send both, just to be sure I will follow what they say.
  8. Thanks everyone for sharing recommendations. We decided to go on our own ad the process seems to be quite simple. Only question: Do I really must send all the supporting evidence I already shared two years ago when applied for the GC? Or new proofs of the last 2 years are enough?
  9. Hi everyone, 2 years have passed since I received the GC. Few weeks ago I received the notice from both our lawyer and the USCIS to file for I-751. This time, I would like to avoid having our lawyer supporting us in the process, simply because her rate is very high and for the Conditional GC, it cost us a lot of money. My husband and I do not have any red flag or any other potential issue to be aware of. Would you recommend to file on our own? How easy/hard is to file for the I-751? Is it common to make any mistake in the process? I'd appreciate any recommendation and experience. Thank you!
