Thank you for your answer. Yes, true. My I-751 is still pending, however, are the two cases treated separetely? I know that officers do not want to be asked questions about I-751 when summoned for the N400. Yet, it seems from your reply that the same officer could do both the interviews altogether. It means my husband must be present which it is not needed in case of N400, right?

Hello, I finally received the notice for the interview that is going to be on August 29th. Unfortunately, I already made plans (but not purchased tickets yet) to travel in Europe from August 18th to September 9th to both attend 2 weddings of long-time friends and support my father who has been sick for some time. I am now very struggling to make a decision: - Should I ask to reschedule the interview directly? I am just afriad that it will take months again - I might attend the N400 interview but then I will have to leave the US the day after and come back in mid September. If the Oath Cerimony is schedule during this time, what should I do? Could I reschedue this one in case, even if not for an emergency? Is it true that I can speak with the officer at the interview to communicate a date since I could be able to attend the interview? - If luckily I have the Oath Cerimony the same day, then I am going to have to request the US passport needed to travel outside the country. How long would it take? Any useful info based on your past experences is very gratefull. Will definitely help me understand how to make a better plan.

No, my removal is still pending, like most of the cases where 3-years rule applies. Anyway, nowhere on the USCIS is stated that long periods of time like mine will automatically deny my application. What is stated is that if stayed longer than 180 days, for the SAME trip (not my case), this will represent a major concern (not necessarely meaning a deny as far as I understand). Also, the other important requirements, as I mentioned yet, are to have continous marriage and residency in the US, which I meet. The lawyer I hired has not warned me that I am going to likely be denied. I just would like to hear from someone who has gone to the interview, or through a RFE, and was asked for some soppurting documents proving their trips oversea.

Hi again everyone. I obtained the conditional GC in March 2021 and in April 2024 I applied for US citizenship, based on a 3-year rule. During these 3 years, I spent a total of 357 days outside of the us, span over the course of 13 trips otuside the US, with the longest time being 63 days. During this time I kept continued residency at the same addess and continued marriage, of course. 90% of these trips were done in my home county in Europe, either becuase I work for a company in US with HQ in my home cuntry (I had to travel for work often) and also for my father who has been quite ill and went under some surgeries. Not having any siblings, I had to travel back to support my parents during these hard times. Has anybody here had a similiar experience? how was your meeting with the officer? Also, would you recommend me to start colelcting documents proving the reasons for my trips otuside the US? Thank you!

Just a quick update. Still no news from USCIS. Based on the center my case was assigned to, avg time is 18 months. Eventually I decided to file for N400 which was delivered in April and avg time is 7 months.

Biometrics were reused 3 weeks after they received my application. Since then, no nows. Just talked with my immigration lawyer and she said that the center I was assigned to, Nebraska, has an average of 19 months processing time. And it is the fastest compared to the others like Texas or California where the processing time is 32 months average...so it looks like I have still some months ahead for the I-751 to be processed

365 days have passed since they received my application and still nothing on sight.

Hello again everyone, starting from January 2024 I can file the N400. However, the main concern in requesting the US citizenship or not, is the tax implications. I basically own an apartment in my country, which was purchased by my parents in 2014 and right after was donated to me. It has a certain value (range 500k to 1M $), hence I am afraid I have to pay high taxes on it. Btw, I am not getting any income from the property. My parents live there. Question is, if I decided to become a US citizen will I have to pay taxes on it? Or, since it was purchased before US neutralization and do not get income, should I be fine? thank you !

Filed on February 22nd 2023 and stll no update since March when fingerprints werte reused.

I filed on February 22nd for I-751 and, on March 10th, I received the notice that my fingerprint had been reused. But as of today, still no updates.

For everyone following my post: just checked in my mail and found the notice letter.....it is another copy of the extention letter. I lost all my hopes. Still I do not understand why they are sending two copies for some people.

That would be beyond luck. Only after 2 months I filed for removal of condition? mmm...not sure, but I'll have my fingers crossed until opening my mail tomorrow

48 months extenions and yes, I have USPS informed delivery. The pic of the letter shows the notice date.

Hi everyone, I filed for I-751 in February and recived some weeks ago a notice letter stating I will not have to retake fingerprints. I also received the extention letter. This morning I received an email from USPS saying they're delivering another notice letter tomorrow. The notice is dated March 29, yet if I check on my USCIS profile, no updates show up on my case. What this notice might be about? Is it possible to be a Request For Evidence yet only after a month from filing?

Hi everyone, here my current status: - Sent all the paperworks on 02/21 - Paperworks received on 02/22 - NOA dated 02/24 - extension letter received by email 03/06 Now I just gonna have to wait countless months :). Question: Are there cases where applicants have received ROE within few weeks from filing? or ROE are supposed to be requested only deep in the process?
