  1. Hello, thank you for creating this. I filed for my parent 24 June. Now waiting receipts in a mail (i got text messages) and biometric appointment.
  2. Thank you for your thorough response. I just checked and we are currently in that 100 mile border area and we are moving to non-100 mile border area. Whew~
  3. Hi, I hope you can advise how to proceed and what is the best option in my case. My parent is in the US on B1 (legal entry) and her last day on I 94 is June 24. I just got my citizenship so I am eligible to file now. We are moving to a different state in a month and will live in AirBnB before our new house closing. Can you please suggest which option is best? Option 1: Mail in concurrent filing this week with the current address. Hope the receipt will be delivered within a month. I can also put our relative's mailing address vs residence address so we do not lose any mail. Preparing the paper package does take time so my deadline is this week with overnight delivery option. Option 2: File I-130 online, then submit AOS from the new address (with I 130 receipt notice). It is easier to update address online and hopefully the receipt notices also will be uploaded in the Documents section. I heard this won't be considered as concurrent process and may delay the application. Option 3: Mail in concurrent filing from the new address beginning of June. This will avoid any loss of mail possibility and address change paperwork. I am more concerned that B1 validity period is end of June, what if USCIS is late with receipt notices etc.... Please let me know if I am missing any other risk factors or what would you do in my stead. Thank you!
  4. Not same but similar. I did write a letter before my interview requesting for a joint interview (like 2 months before my interview). They did not answer or do anything. On the day of my interview there was a snowstorm, so at 6AM I received email from the local office that interview is cancelled and they will notify me when it will be rescheduled. The next day I see update on my I-751 that it will be transferred to local office. So basically the agent did not bother open my letter before my actual interview. Fast forward two months later on a day my interview my interviewer said they won't be able to provide the decision even if I pass my test as I-751 is not sent to them yet. So I received same letter as you - saying I passed the test but decision cannot be made. I waited few days, saw no movement and contacted my congressman asking to check with USCIS on my cases. They immediately sent email to USCIS. In a week I received updates to my I-751, and my N400 was approved and I was put on oath scheduling wait. Now 6 weeks later I am still waiting for my oath.... if you are not changing your name probably you won't wait this long for oath. Good luck!
  5. Yeah I remember reading something too and made sure to include it in my online N400. Oh well. I am trying to be zen about it but it is hard…
  6. Thank you for sharing your timeline. Just getting frustrated of everyone getting same day path :(
  7. Hi all, So I interview on 26 Feb 2024 . Office- Mount Laurel, NJ. I am still waiting for the invitation for the oath ceremony. I know if you change your name, you need the ceremony with a judge but how much is the average wait?
  8. Do you have pending long term GC? I uploaded applicant-correspondence under N-400 asking for joint interview for I 751 or whatever that form was, few days before my interview was scheduled.
  9. So we should study Civics Test questionnaire version from 2008? Also what is different from March 1, 2021 (see below)? Any other questions that can be asked besides what is in the questionnaire? I heard they can ask who is my states senators/representatives. Is that true? Civics Test 2008 Version The 2008 version of the civics test is an oral test, and the USCIS officer will ask you up to 10 questions from the list of 100 civics test questions. You must answer 6 questions correctly to pass the 2008 version of the civics test. Applicants who filed their Form N-400 before December 1, 2020, will continue to take the 2008 civics test at initial exam, re-exam, or N-336 hearing. Applicants who file their Form N-400 on or after March 1, 2021 will also take the 2008 civics test at initial exam, re-exam, or N-336 hearing.
  10. Hey all, my interview was scheduled for January 16 (filed Sep 16). Notice received as of yesterday Nov 30 (I did not receive any notification on my email on case update though).
