I’ve just received my biometrics appointment date for San Francisco, 08-14-2020! I applied in late March so it looks like things are coming back on track. Yay

We submitted our AOS from B2 + marriage on March 23.
Received NOA for I-130/131/485/765 on April 6.
Fingerprint Fee received April 16.
No further contact from USCIC as of writing this. Looking forward to getting a biometrics appointment as soon as they start them up again!

Hi there,
My (now) husband and I are in a very similar situation. We had to abandon the K1 and get married and are now getting ready to send in the forms to adjust status. Do you know how to cancel the K1 or if it’s necessary?
Hey there!
Along with filing the forms:
I-130
I-130A
I-131
I-485
I-765
I-864
I-944
And the required evidence, we also sent a letter addressed to the USCIS officer requesting to revoke the I-129F application, explaining this was due to the unforeseen coronavirus outbreak.
I hope this helps!

Just an update for the benefit of Sinead and anyone else in this situation.
• I’ve been in the US on a B-2 visa since October 2019.• We filed for K-1 in November 2019.
• Received NOA-2 in March 2019.
• I was planning on returning home April 2019.I read this thread last Saturday, decided to get in touch with our attorney.
The attorney felt that whilst marrying and adjusting wasn’t the best thing in the world to do, it was a far better option than returning home on an aircraft, to an uncertain wait in the UK away from my fiancé. So he agreed with our intention to marry as soon as possible.Julio and I married March 16, in Napa County where we happened to be staying at the time. The staff helping with our marriage documents said we were just in time and they’d close the next day. Sure enough, they did. So phew!
We’re currently compiling all the documents required for adjustment of status, getting the required medical certificate, vaccinations etc.
Our lawyer will then cancel our K-1 application and contemporaneously submit the AOS paperwork.
Some of my thoughts:
• I did not need to go home for anything in particular, my family will come visit us from the UK once travel has been restored.
• I just wanted to explain what we decided to do under these unprecedented circumstances, I’m not recommending this, we did however strongly feel this was a no brainer for our particular circumstances.
• I’m not saying a lawyer is necessary. We chose to get a lawyer because we’re lucky enough to afford their services and for the added peace of mind, I’m sure there is enough information on this website and others to enable any couple in this situation to successfully file an AOS.
If anyone would like to message me, I’d be happy to talk about my personal experience. What a rollercoaster!

Hey there!
It’s my first post on this brilliant website.
I am in a very similar situation as Sinead except I entered on Oct 8 2019 on a B-2 visa with the intention of staying with my fiancé until April 6 2020 when I’m due to fly home.
We began the application process for the K-1 in November 2019 and received the NOA-2 on March 13 2020.
Our original plan was for me to fly back in April when my B-2 stay expired and wait the final few months of the visa process in London until I’m able to fly back to the US on the K-1.
My concerns about COVID-19 are 2 fold:
1) It will probably delay the consular processing if, for instance, in person interviews are suspended to promote social distancing.
2) I may not be able to fly back to the US in a timely manner if this UK flight ban is still in effect.
I’ve emailed my attorney and are awaiting a reply but I’d love anyone’s thoughts on whether this would be strong grounds for a change of status if we decided to cancel my April return trip and married now instead.
Thank you in advance, these are exciting but uncertain times!

Today my I-765 was updated to “Your Card Is Being Produced.”!
Out of interest, my I-131 (AP) is still “Case Was Received”. Does this mean the card I’ll receive will or will not be a combo card?
Does anyone know?
