  1. My husband (a Norwegian citizen) and I (a U.S. citizen) applied for his green card before the pandemic, and it was granted in 2021. Due to job uncertainty during the pandemic, we postponed our move and have been living in Norway ever since. Last year, we had our first child and are planning to travel to the U.S. next month to visit family and friends. We have also travelled to the US since that time and had no problems but given the current situation/news stories regarding greencard holders, I am unsure what to do. Given that he has not lived in the U.S. since obtaining his green card, should he relinquish it and apply for an ESTA instead, or would it be better to keep it in case we decide to move in the future? Has anyone been in a similar situation that could share some advice?
