  1. I think in this particular case @OldUser is responding to someone who had their physical card taken from them and so they only have the stamp. When you travel with the extension letter you still need to show the expired card, which this person no longer has. They were wondering if the extension letter applies to the stamp, which it does not.
  2. Yep, your interview was indeed waived and you will receive your new card very soon. The case tracker will update to say when the card is sent, and will also provide you with a tracking number. Our case also went quickly without an interview out of MSC (National Benefits Center). Congrats to you for making it through!
  3. Given how slowly the USCIS has been known to operate, I imagine that's not much of a risk for most people 😂
  4. Ah thanks for the clarification! I knew you could do it for the CR-1, but I had read this bit regarding N-400: Be a lawfully admitted permanent resident of the United States for at least three years immediately before the date you file Form N-400 But I found the page where it also mentions the 90 day early filing provision The spouse of a U.S. citizen filing for naturalization on the basis of his or her marriage may file the naturalization application up to 90 days before the date he or she would first meet the required 3-year period of continuous residence In our case, I knew we were eligible this Fall, but unlike getting the ROC approved, getting the N-400 filled out doesn't seem as time sensitive so I hadn't looked up if this form could also be filed early. I just knew that it was based on the date you became a Green Card Holder, not the date of marriage.
  5. You are allowed to file for the N-400 3 years after the date you received the CR-1 (to meet the residency requirement). If you received the CR-1 in 2020 then you are eligible this year and can file anytime after the date of the CR-1 provided you have met all of the requirements.
  6. It's really seeming like the MSC is doing the risk based analysis and starting with some of the more recent cases instead of going back to the older ones. Seems all the August approvals have been MSC.
  7. Just wanted to provide a recent datapoint for flying back into the US from Dublin, Ireland. We flew over for the holidays and had a direct flight back to the US earlier this month. Dublin has US Customs in its airport, so we dealt with the process before we flew. The whole interaction took maybe 30 seconds. My husband and I went up together, I handed my US passport, he handed his Irish passport, Green Card, and Extension Letter, the agent took the letter out of the envelope, looked at it, and then handed everything back to us. Maybe it helped that we went through together -- he's been asked questions about where he lives etc when he travels alone, but we weren't asked anything this time around and there wasn't a long line or anything.
  8. We were on a CR-1 and not a K-1 so we were asked to come in for biometrics in September as we hadn't done them prior to that point.
  9. Yeah that's really frustrating. I wish that all the other centers were moving equally.
  10. It really seems like cases are moving along! Hoping others start to see some approvals as well. Curious how long it will take for us to receive the cards in the mail.
  11. Well maybe they are doing more risk based assessments! My husband's case status changed today as well! If this status is true, we got approved in a little over 5 months with no interview! We sent to the Phoenix Dropbox and were assigned to the National Benefits Center (MSC). January 18, 2023 New Card Is Being Produced Looking forward to my husband getting the card in the mail and being done with forms and waiting for awhile. It will also be nice not to take that extension letter on trips -- we had an extremely easy time getting back to the US from Dublin over the holidays, but it's one less thing to worry about when traveling.
  12. Wow we have very similar timelines and submitted to the same Dropbox and were sent to the same Service Center. No movement after biometrics for me yet but I'm wondering if I dare be slightly hopeful due to your story. Regardless, congratulations on getting through the process so quickly!
  13. Just created this thread for everyone filing for ROC in September!
