I entered today on a K1 from the UK. Totally fine as the exemption is in place. No issues.

Question for all. Received my Passport with visa along with sealed envelope back today.
The envelope seal is in tact but the side of the envelope has been torn, not fully (certainly not enough to remove or add anything into the package) but I am looking for some guidance if I need to have them repackage it before I travel? As the seal is not broken and none of the tape is removed does this tear still invalidate the package?
Due to be travelling in two days as fiance is unwell and am now concerned I will need to delay.
Thanks for your input.

Thank you for this. Got the email and news of expected courier date today.

Visa status showing as Issued as of today. Does anyone have any recent experience with the timeline between it being issued and the passport being received back from the London Embassy?

Oh like 2 hours to 2 days. If it should go to 2 weeks then there is a security thing they are further checking out. Unfortunately if it becomes extended AP, London will not discuss it or even give you a tiny hint as to what’s being checked out. On average for London, a visa is issued and in your hands one week after interview.
Thank you for calming me. Was issued today.

hi all, wanted to ask for advice.
Went for my K1 visa interview a few weeks ago and was told all was ok and approved pending my medical result being received. Had my medical the next day (couldn't get an appointment beforehand). Results arrived at the London Embassy last Wednesday.
As of today the case has been viewed and now reads 'non immigrant visa' which I heard is normal. It is now reading Administrative Processing as its status. Is this a normal step?
Thanks in advance for any advice (London specific K1 input much appreciated)

Hey all, wondering if anyone has experience with what the typical timelines are for K1 visa 'readiness' when you do your medical after your interview? Was told at the interview it was all good and 'approved' pending my medical coming in ok.
We had some very rapid timelines and as such the medical had to be done the day after the visa interview. Can see that the medical results were received at the London Embassy today (as there was an update on the CEAC tracker today, which from what I've read means they got the papers from the Visa Medical doctors).
Does anyone know how many days typically, at the London Embassy, it takes for them to then proceed with issuing the visa once they have the visa medical results? Not including couriering etc.
Trying to gauge when I can get very excited and make preparations for relocating. Apologies for the rambling, excitement and nerves all rolled into one.

Hi there,
Does anyone have a sample/copy of the letter sent from the London Embassy to K1 beneficiaries when they are inviting/scheduling interviews? I'm sure it's somewhere but it would be so helpful if someone could put a link for me so I can stop my frantic searching.
Thanks so much.

Hey guys, this thread has been really helpful to read. Does anyone know how we go about applying for a NIE/expedited review? Can't seem to find any forms or details. Might just be looking in the wrong place. Thanks so much!

Hey guys, quick question. While we are in this holding pattern waiting for any movement from embassy in London reopening and documents being sent from NVC I need to check something.
Spouse in the UK is moving to a new address. How would we go about updating the address to ensure any letters arrive to the right location for him?
Thanks in advance!

Still waiting here for the embassy in the UK to start accepting the documents from NVC. The unknown of embassy reopening/resuming visa processing times is very grating. Doing our best to hang in there

Congratulations Eric! So happy for you guys! Love always prevails

Quick questions as we start to prepare the Affidavit of Support to have it ready...for whenever it's needed.
I left my job back in March and am wanting some guidance on whether assets/savings are viewed as acceptable as support or is it less desirable when viewed by consular officers? Will provide my tax filings etc which more than meet the minimum income/assets available requirement but would it be beneficial to have a co-sponsor for my fiancé too? Just wanting to ensure that all bases are more than covered for whenever interviews are resuming.
Also, could I ask for a copy of the London-England P3 sample letter? Can't seem to locate it (likely not looking in the right place!)
Thanks in advance

hey there, yes requested on the NVC website (first time I did it they said they had no record, I clearly contacted too soon). Then I requested again on Monday and we received the email back a few hours ago with the details. Greenbaum's documents are always on point! Follow the instructions he gave and it seems to really work!)

Congratulations!! Hope you are celebrating! Our embassy is also London, UK.
Shall be doing this weekend for sure! Hope all is progressing well with yours. Unfortunate about the extended and unknown wait with embassy appointments etc but it shall all be right in the end!

So pleased to have made it here. Got out NOA2 on June 30th and now sitting tight here. Wanted to ask @Greenbaum, as cant seem to get clarity, whether NVC are currently sending on applications to the respective embassies (in our case London, UK) or if they are holding the applications until a time at which embassies are able to start accepting and holding K1 visa interviews?
-
Received our NOA2 today. Approved on June 30th! Wow, what a great feeling having passed the first phase of this process! Something for all those still pending to really look forward too.

Thanks so much for this! So helpful, shall prepare and send it off. Appreciate all of your guidance.

Thanks for the info Tesco, really appreciate it. Don’t suppose you could point me towards where you located the document, or if you have a copy? Have been trawling the internet for such a thing and am coming up blank.
-
That would be great if you don't mind. Really appreciate your help!

Thanks so much. Do you mind my asking where you got this letter from?
All the courts seem to be closed and not processing anything right now.

Wanted to reach out and see whether anyone has any guidance on our RFE. USCIS sent us an RFE saying that my fiancé's UK divorce decree absolut was not signed by a judge or magistrate. As this isn't the process for UK divorce paperwork, judges don't sign these documents, does anyone have any advice?
We have read that to get it notarised/apostille service could be beneficial. However these services are suspended in the UK for an undetermined period due to Covid-19. Does anyone have any similar recent experience with this issue and any advice to offer us. Wanting to move forward so as to not further delay our process.
Thanks all!
