  1. you can just send it. I did mine as well. Where did you get the RFE from NBC or your local field office? If it is from NBC then it might take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months.
  2. you should be fine if you travel again. I traveled 8 times no issues at JFK. It was never taken more than 8 mins in the secondary inspection.
  3. What do you mean by really works? If you want to know if you can travel with AP then answer is yes as long as you are not criminal or in removal proceedings. Many of us travelled on AP without any issues.
  4. everyone one has different experience. I chatted with EMMA to make the appointment. I told them i need to find out the status of my form i-485. They gave me an appointment. When i went to office i told them i need to speak to a supervisor. Supervisor gave me the information that i needed. It was really helpful for me.
  5. Have you made the info pass appointment? I would say make the appointment if yo have not done.
  6. it depends on your field office how buys they are. I would suggest do not submit your medical until USCIS ask for it. Since your vawa just got approved. I would say give it at least 2 months before you take next step. Your VAWA just approved so enjoy that moment.
  7. only thing you need to include is your approval notice. Make sure your attorney submit it because it's related to court so do not take chance by submitting it yourself.
  8. nothing will count against you. You are allowed to file once you touch 2 years and 9 months. You can also search for Sandra's post you will get satisfactory answer. You do not need to write this is from NOLO. I just put the reference.
  9. Pick the other 'D other" then write "Have been an LPR for at least three years (VAWA, I.N.A § 319(a))." This is from NOLO
  10. Yes you can submit once you hit 2 years and 9 months. You will select other then explain. Let me search the exact answer for you.
  11. ahhh. He could have sent both together to order to avoid unnecessary delay. Now he will wait for court date then he would ask the Judge to dismiss. Once you get the letter ask your attorney if he/she can send the motion to dismiss immediately instead of waiting for the court date.
  12. I would say first find from your attorney did he file only motion to recalnder or joint motion to recalnder and dismiss. I have feeling your attorney did only motion to recalnder. Let's wait for letter to receive. I am sure Judge must have given you a date. In order for Judge to terminate there should be a second motion called motion to dismiss with your approval notice of either i-130 or i-360 etc.
  13. How many motions did your lawyer send? Did your lawyer send motion to dismiss?
  14. i do not think this should be an issue. Off course you can continue work once you will receive c31. Those are all work authorizations just different categories.
  15. It's your choice. However i would file c09 because it is free if you have paid for i-485.
  16. Just give it few more days to see if your lawyer receives anything. In this instance your attorney might be right. There were occasions where i didn't receive anything from uscis even though they said they sent the response.
  17. That is true. It is good idea to have AP just incase if you need it.
  18. There is no fee for renewal of both EAD and AP if you have paid for i-485. If you did not pay for i-485 then you either pay or send renewal package with fee waiver. You will not get combo card if you just send only EAD renewal. Only way you will get combo card if you send both applications together and USCIS approves both together. There are cases where USCIS approves these applications separatly therefore, people do not get combo card. You do not need to file i-131 if you do not wish to travel.
  19. tell them you need to find out the status of your i-485. I think chat would be the best option.
  20. Sorry to hear that. That is unbelievable. Once it is stuck security background check there is nothing you can do but to wait. However, one thing that i would do if i were you to conduct my background check via third party and send the result to USCIS. There is someone on this forum did that in the past. You can try to do that. The cost is not much. You can google that and i would say take the chance.
  21. I did my medical last year. I did not get booster just the 2 vaccine and that was in 2020. My doctor did not say anything, he just did my medical. I think you should go in person to a different office.
  22. Hi Steve, Usually they are suppose to ask yes/no questions on your form i-485. However, this is USCIS you can expect anything from them. Technically they are not suppose to ask you anything related to abuse. If they do you have all the rights to ask for supervisor. Just go back few pages of this thread someone had his/her interview not long ago. He/she was asked only yes/no questions. Also review Sandra's posts on VAWA threads you will get clear picture of interview process. Good luck!
  23. Hi sandra, Just for my own knowledge What if someone listed the kids on the VAWA but what if VAWA gets denied. What would happened to kinds if they apply in future another petition assuming they are in the USA.
  24. depending on your field office, it could still take 2 to 3 months. Have you provided or did they ask you for updated medical?
  25. i got it in 3 weeks after i reached out to my congress person. Since your case is different now. Just let them know your employer gave you a deadline.
