  1. You can stay as much as you want. Technically you can stay until it expires. But i don't think anyone recommend to stay entire one year. Maximum i stayed 6 months.
  2. Call USCIS and let them know you want to make an appointment to find out status of your i-485.
  3. Do not file new i-485. Find a new lawyer who can filled motion directly with judge. I can give you my attorneys number he is in NYC. He charged me 1K.
  4. When did you submit your i-485? If you submit after the Vawa approval then give it few more months. If it before or with VAWA then make an info pass appointment to inquire about it.
  5. Thank you so much. Yes i hope so. It is over a year now after my VAWA approval.
  6. Thanks for your input. What bothers me the most is initial and additional? I think either medical or divorce documents or may be both.
  7. @Rhema1 @sandranj and others I have a question. I got an update for my i-485 saying "On April 6, 2023, we mailed a request for initial and additional evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status...". What does initial and additional means? I either heard people getting initial or additional.
  8. It all depends how was your interview. What kind of questions did the officer ask you. If they just asked you yes/no questions then it is normal. you would get an update within few days.
  9. Yes it would be fine to travel. Since your removal is terminated.
  10. I do not think it is too late. I personally know someone who sent it after 2 years and got approved. just write an explanation letter why you could not send before.
  11. I would say send the psychology report and police record if you have. Do not send medical yet.
  12. contact your senator. In addition to that make a info pass appointment and find out status of your i-485.
  13. just let them know your situation. what is happening to your case.
  14. It does not really matter. As long it has your A# and your questions. you should be fine. However, USCIS will not reply you back. Therefore, the best thing to do is to reach out to your congress/senator.
  15. No not really. They just told me i would hear something in 30 days. So far 26 days have passed nothing yet.
  16. Honestly speaking i have had good experience with EMMA so far. not once but twice i got an info pass through EMMA.
  17. I chatted with EMMA and i told them i need to find the status of my i-485. Therefore i need to make an info pass appointment since my case is confidential. Hence i was told someone will call me in 30 days. However, they called within 72 hours. It was pretty good experience. I would say make an appointment if you need one.
  18. They are still giving appointments. I went beginning of this month in NYC. I know few other people went in this month.
  19. You can close asylum once you have i-130 approved. USCIS will not make any decision on your i-485 until you are out of court. Or if you have not applied for i-485 yet then you can file that directly with court once your i-130 gets approved.
  20. Thank you so much. I hope so. I really need those prayers.
  21. no not yet. According to my lawyer i should hear by the end of March. So i will keep you guys posted as soon i hear something.
  22. Congratulations. I am so happy for you!! Finally journey is over for you. Best of luck to those who are still waiting.
  23. I would say before you sue them try to to do your own background through third party and send that result to USCIS. If you search few thread back there are people who did that and got approved.
