Has anyone had any issues traveling DOMESTIC within the US after entry with a k1?
we got married and adjusted status, case is in processing but wondering if we’ll have issues traveling through airport security if they notice that the k1 is technically expired. The proof of legal status we have is the acknowledgement from USCIS for pending AOS.
Just wondering if anyone has had any issues/confusion with authorities because of this.
on another note, my wife is Venezuelan and her ID is literally a PDF print out that the Venezuelan government emailed her. Apparently they don’t have materials to print the ID cards and they tell citizens to print / laminate. It’s very low quality and almost looks fake. I probably wouldn’t believe it’s real if I didn’t know that’s how she received it... would this be a valid travel document though the airport even though it has no security features they are now requiring from many states?
we have her passport but given the difficulty of obtaining a new Venezuelan passport would rather not travel with it unless absolutely necessary. It’s also expiring 2022 so hopefully we have her green card by then. If not, can we use an expired passport to travel?
