Hello,
I have filed an I-30 to petition for my mother on 2-29-2020 and it's almost two year without a decision. They case is outside normal processing times and I have contacted USCIS Ombudsman and sent multiple inquiries.
All I heard is they keep saying they are forwarding my case to Texas service center and I have never heard anything.
What can I do now ?

Greetings, wife arrive on an IR1 visa and when we filed DS-260 I remember checking yes on the box where authorized DOS to apply for a social security card on our behalf, however she has been here for a month and we have not received any mails yet and it's not easy getting hold of the social security office.
Is there a way to check if DOS applied for the social security card if yes, how do we check the status and if no , how can we apply for a card ?
Please help.

Hello,
My wife recently got her immigrant visa and were told to pay $220 USCIS fee online for her green card.
I tried to go to USCIS website provided by the embassy, I entered her A- number and her case ID however, her case ID consist of 3 letters and 12 numbers and on the website you can only enter 3 letters and 11 numbers.
What can I do ?

Though my tax transcript wouldn’t show my current employer?
That is all what they asked me for, I quit my other job 2 years ago.

AWe had a visa interview and I changed my job but got a better one, they didn't ask for a new AOS, however they asked for new tax transcripts. May be it is different for you.

I would like to thank everyone at this community for their continued support, Everytime I asked a question I received the answers I was looking for and it was folks like you who helped us in this journey.
My wife visa was issued today, that is 3 days after we mailed the passport to the US Embassy in Ankara, Turkey.
The embassy staff was very courteous and responsive at all the times.
Thank you again for you support here and I wish you all to get what you want soon.

Hello , i dont really know if this is to celebrate or not but I recive an Message From Consulate Today , i was Under 221g and i Uploaded All Documetnts which they asking from me , i cant imagine how i got This message from Consulate wich from my opinion its to early bcs In CEAC site the new Uploaded Documents ( AOS and Tax Transcript) is showing Only "subbmited" Status and not showing "accepted"
so Consulate Asked from Me passports to sent to Them and to print Visa , what u guys think , will i get visa for few days after i sent to them or need to wait until CEAC is reviewing The Documents !!
here is screen shot
They asked me to re-upload our files too and we have done it and status is showing "submitted" so I was not sure just like you but now that they did ask you to send your passport means that status is not important.
Congratulations and Welcome to the U.S. of A.

Hello,
My wife did her interviews last week, the officer asked if she brought any photos of us together to the interview and my wife answered that we didn't know we had to bring photos and it was not in the interview appointments email list.
So the officer just answer it's ok.
Is that something I should be concerned, should mail some photos with the passport or just ignore it.
Please advise and thank you.

Once you have an interview schedule, there is no going back to the NVC review line for DQ. You've already secured your spot at the embassy. Moreso with your case since interview has already been completed.
No need to delete the old files from CEAC. It's good that you already re-uploaded the files. I suggest you notify the embassy with a screenshot of the location of the new uploads, like you did in your previous communication with them.
Thank youd for your replies if anything they do relief us, while US Embassy refused to confirm if they can locate the files, they simply stated the consular officer will have to open CEAC I plan to write a letter with screenshots when we mail the passport On Tuesday.

Re-uploading all the documents to CEAC would be cheaper than hiring an attorney. Just re-upload. It's allowed and it's free. And it's what the consul officer wants you to do.
As for why they are claiming that you did not upload the documents, it seems to be a CEAC system glitch, even if they haven't admitted it yet. A number of recent interviewees in the Philippines have reported being told the same thing your wife was. They re-uploaded the files the same day and their visas were issued some days after.
Update:
There is no option to delete the files and I had to upload them to the optional documents section , hope that will work.

I was afraid if I do that they will have to send my file to NVC again and then NVC have to accept them. I will go ahead delete current files and re-upload them hopefully it is a glitch and they will see them this time.

Hello VJ Family,
I'm reached to a desperate point and willing to hire an attorney if I don't get anywhere, here is my situation:
Wife did the interview on 07-26-21 at the US Embassy in Ankara, Turkey and was given 221G and was told the reason is we didn't upload police certificate, marriage certificate and birth certificate to ceac and as we know case is not documentarily qualified unless you have those files uploaded.
Long story short I logged in to CEAC and took screenshots of everything uploaded and sent those screenshot to the embassy, they responded to my email with the same none sense.
Please see the screenshot below and as you see everything is uploaded and yet they are saying they are missing them, I'm afraid they reject the visa and tell us because they don't have the required documetns.
What should I do or respond with, should I hire an attorney ?
please advise and help

I suspect this is due to a system glitch with CEAC that the Department of State is just not admitting to (yet). It's very unlikely that applicants have not uploaded the required documents to CEAC. Otherwise, they would not have gotten DQ and scheduled for interview!
And I totally agree and I immediately sent them an email with our CEAC account showing files accepted. It just doesn't make sense telling us we didn't upload the documents when the case was documentarily qualified long before the interview.
I will post again when they reply to my email.

Greetings,
Since I have been posting here I wanted to also update my VJ family about my wife's interview today at US Embassy in Ankara, Turkey.
The officer didn't look at so much papers only asked simple questions about us and asked my wife to take the oath.
Then the officer gave her the passport back and gave her 221G temporary refusal until we have the medical exam.
The officer also told her that our files " passport, tax returns, marriage certificate and birth certificate were not uploaded to CEAC and which is not true I just took a screenshot of them all in CEAC and emailed it to them.
They also asked for our photos together which was not requested in their email, I also emailed them 10 of our photos.
How bad my situation is ?

Fix it at the interview, should have zero impact
7 minutes ago, P0907 said:A small administrative mistake like that will most likely be no issue and will be corrected at the interview. You've probably already submitted tons of other documentation which state your wife is in fact female.
Thank you very much that is a big relief

Greetings,
Wife is doing her interview tomorrow and we just found out on her DS-260 we selected the wrong sex, instead for Female we out Male.
I'm sure that can be fixed at interview but will that cause any delays ?

Embassy staff are required to speak the native language. Forgive my ignorance I’m unsure what the native language is in Turkey but if your wife speaks it she will be fine.
Native language in Turkey is Turkish and wife is not from Turkey she speaks Arabic and Kurdish.

Greetings,
My wife have an interview at US Embassy in Anakara, Turkey next week and we concerned if they will have a Kurdish or Arabic translator?
Wife speak little English and we want to make sure she understands all the questions.
Does anyone have the answer?
Thank you in advance.

so, Turkey is slow at interviewing all cases
if you check the portal page here, there is 1 K1 scheduled
and checking to see if any (i think 5 or 6 ) have been approved by embassy doesn't help as they may have been in long AP with interiews prior to covid
Now that you id turkey as country , i think VJ members from there can advise you
but it does help to go to the portal and read other Posts from members
Can you send me the link I couldn't find the portal.

Mine was expedited too but with condition.
NVC has to DQ me before expedite can happen.
This without condition so I'm having my hopes very high it has been a very long time and mental health is down the toilet now.

Dear members,
I received an email from NVC that US Embassy has approved to expedite my wife's case and that NVC has sent her immigrant visa application to the embassy.
What does this mean timewise ? Has anyone else had an expedited case if yes, please share your experience.
Thank you.

Ohh I understand. Yeah that is normal. They are looking to see which countries have visited. Some will require more questions investigating at interview.
Then it probably means they are preparing our file for an interview.

Weird they asked for the passport not just a copy prior to interview. maybe they do this in some embassies/type of visa and not others.
Which Embassy and what type of visa (Im assuming spousal visa)? You dont have timeline filled out.
Sorry for the miss communication I was typing and focusing on work on same time.
They asked for a copy but they asked for all 48 pages.
Not sure if that is a good thing or not.
