  1. Oh no, I thought that magically all my cases would be approved!
  2. She can always try for a tourist visa. If they denied her it is not going to hurt any future applications. However, I would plan on meeting her somewhere in between the US and the Philippines... Idk, at the end of the day she is still a stranger and it can be an uncomfortable situation for both.
  3. Anyone else with a pending 751 and this case status? Your case status is unavailable at this time. We are working to get you accurate information as soon as possible. Even my older cases such as my 485 and 765 are showing that. All of them except my N400
  4. OP, looking at your story she already asked you in 2021 if you’d support her financially. What did you say to that? People were telling you to RUN:
  5. Yeah no, it’s probably not going to work. What’s that? How old are you? I mean, if she has the extra money she can of course apply and see what happens. You said you can’t go to Philippines because of your commitments, but what are you going to do while she’s visiting here? Is she going to be mostly by herself?
  6. Not having a stable job, not having property, no bank accounts, not having international travel history that proves that she returns to the Philippines, being single and of a young marrying age…
  7. I cannot answer about the address because I haven’t been in that situation. No, the BC is not mandatory, but it is something you can request from the Vital Records of the State the child was born. And it’s inexpensive. Jim Hacking has a YouTube Show. If you subscribe to his channel it will tell you when he goes live. And then once the show starts you click on the link they’ll post to join the show and ask the question
  8. So just a heads up, you do need to mention all three "kids" in the application, but you'd only need the BC for your bio child.
  9. Hi there! Slightly different scenarios, but same issues with warnings that do not pertain to you... I have a stepson, and I listed him under "children" as per USCIS guidelines. Well, it gave me a warning sign that I had to upload his BC, which I learned I could safely ignore based on the advise of more seasoned VJ members. So you might just as well be on the same boat!
  10. I just wonder what is going on... All I see in my documents is the receipt notice.
  11. Here I go again, I applied this Monday (01.30). Yesterday I got an email and a text message saying that they have taken an action on my case. I did check on the different portals, and all I see is the receipt notice. No biometrics. Most people get biometrics reuse the same day. I know, I know... If it was someone else and I was reading this message, I would say "you're a frequent flyer at VJ, you should know better than asking these silly, newbie questions..." but here I am!

Don’t base your life decisions on USCIS. That will put a strain on your relationship. Do what makes more sense for you.
  13. Always be honest. Nope Nope, an H1B visa is for highly qualified people and for positions that they can't fill with Americans. Ski instructor will not cut it.
  14. Hey, this morning I got a text message saying that they've taken an action on your case, but nothing happens!
  15. Filed mine today online. Receipt date today (01.30), from Columbus… estimated case processing times 17 months. I have a pending 751 at LIN
  16. I hope so! Anyhow I am glad I couldn't file yesterday. Today I was reviewing the file before submitting and I realized I hadn't included the copy of my green card!
  17. Yeaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!! I really hope this is all done by the summer. Planning to make a bonfire with all the paperwork I have been keeping for who knows how long!
