  1. Well, January did not help me... I'm just here waiting after my biometrics. Case is being actively reviewed since Feb 6th
  2. I went through their CBP last July when I came back from Argentina as a PR. I was with my USC husband. The CBP line was….. the longest I’ve seen so far, and I’ve been to all major airports in the US. And I could see they were calling people to secondary left and right. I’d never, ever seen something like that before. I had my extension letter, my expired green card, my marriage certificate and my USC hubby with me, I was ready to fight.. yet the officer spent literally a second reading my letter and typing something in the computer and I was good to go
  3. But is your family’s life in dire danger because of this?
  4. As @powerpuff has rightfully said, your first priority should be to put them to safety in another country. I am so sorry you are going through this. Expedites are not easily granted, and when they are, it is usually because the USC is in a dire life-threatening emergency, not the beneficiary. That being said, if I were you, I would keep trying to expedite. There is nothing to lose.
  5. There should be an emoji here that says “File for FOIA!”
  6. Time for you to file for a Freedom of Information Act for Immigration to see what’s on your file. I wouldn’t even consider filing for an immigration benefit until you see what they have on file, and what you declared on your ESTA
  7. This is outside of immigration, but as an adult working with kids I 100% suggest that you tell him the truth. Consult with a counselor first, but people have a right to know about their origins.
  8. Ok, great. And what evidence did you submit to prove the hardship?
  9. Did your husband ever list this child when you were petitioning for him? Was he ever married to the child’s mother?
  10. How does it show? Is there a statement that they write in there or something?
  11. It is all determined by the date he arrives into the US. If by that date you have been married for 2+ years, then he gets a 10 year.
  12. You said you filed for FOIA with the hope it'd shed some light... Did it?
  13. Wait, you got approved Oct 2021 but only received the card being produced update on April 2023?
  14. Soon you will learn that there is no such thing as a "national average" because you are dealing with the human factor. Your 751 file is at a service center. Officer Thompson has it. Your N400 is at the NBC. Officer Kayser has it. Thompson and Kayser don't know each other and have different ways of working. Until one of them gets to work on your case, you're just waiting. If you get closer to a year and a half and have 5K to spare, then sue them.
  15. It’s all good but no effort will be successful until they get the media attention on this. No one really cares.
  16. Why did you file for FOIA? Is there something you’re worried about?
  17. I know!!! And I am the first one to tell that to other people... But I'm just so close to the finish line and it feels like it's the dangling carrot in the desert!
  18. Thank you! What I find frustrating is that people from Columbus (same FO) applied around the same date I did, same date for biometrics, and they already have their interviews scheduled! Heck, one applicant was sent to Charleston, WV, for biometrics (same as me) and I told her to go to the ASC in Columbus instead and take an early walk in... She got her interview before I did!
