  1. You feel free to do what you think is best. However, the rep that was on the call is a Tier 1 agent that knows nothing about your case, and they shouldn't be giving advice.
  2. Siblings are not considered IRs and are taking many many years. You’ll probably serve your ban before it becomes available to you. No, a ban cannot be served within the US. Otherwise everyone would give it a shot. COVID is not an excuse. Almost all countries had flights for their nationals to leave the US. Even crossing to Mexico would have been a possibility. Sorry, you won’t be given a tourist visa. That ship has sailed.
  3. The ex co- signed the original 751, so she might very well have withdrawn her signature. OP posted this on a Facebook group I administered, and he was given very similar replies. Time to lawyer up, OP.
  4. Exactly. I just draw an analogy with my profession. I am a teacher at a Middle School. This is exactly like me returning exams/papers to just two out of my 43 students. I am sure I would get called out by my administrators, and rightfully so, for not treating my students equally. And yes, oh boy, my 751 package was 6 lb thick. I included very revealing evidence of a bona fide relationship (joint leases for 2 years, joint mortgage, joint house title, joint bank statements... everything covering 2 years +9 months of our marriage) and yet here we are. I just found out someone at LIN got approved in 23 DAYS and I couldn't help but feel dissappointed at how unfair this process is.
  5. No, not very possible but you can certainly try. I can’t imagine the health system bad in ALL of Egypt…
  6. Hey there! I read your post last night, but I wanted to wait until I had some caffeine in my system to reply (my folks at VJ know that I keep saying I have to stop logging in before my morning coffee haha). Please don't take me wrong, I sure do not want to offend you but I can empathize with you as an anxiety- driven person myself. Your brain is picking out on things to worry about. Please, please, find healthier ways to deal with anxiety because this will be your first step with immigration, not the last. The process can in fact be stressful itself, but we tend to make it worse by adding unnecessary stressors. And yes, they are unnecessary because, as @ROK2USA has pointed out, your change of mind does not constitute a material misrepresentation. Let's go to the USCIS policy manual: Willful Misrepresentation Inadmissibility based on willful misrepresentation requires a finding that a person willfully misrepresented a material fact.[2] For a person to be inadmissible, the officer must find all of the following elements: The person procured, or sought to procure, a benefit under U.S. immigration laws; --not your case, because you were not seeking any benefit by extending your stay The person made a false representation; you were planning to leave when you talked to CBP, so no falseness here The false representation was willfully made; again, you did not know your plans were going to change The false representation was material; and-- it wasn't material, because if you had stayed and adjusted that would have been fine. The false representation was made to a U.S. government official, generally an immigration or consular officer. again, no false representation here. May I also suggest that you use your anxiety in a more productive way? For example, start reading the guides here in VJ and gather the documents needed to build your case, so that everything is ready to go as soon as you obtain your marriage certificate.
  7. I believe you have to tell the full story for us to give you more accurate answers. From your previous posts, I gather that: - You filed for a B1/B2 in 2013 and it was denied . - Your first wife, who died in a car accident, died when you had a K3 on file. So that petition was denied as well. For the record, the age difference was 64 (her) and you were 34. That age difference itself does not say much, however, Nigeria is a high fraud country and one of the red flags is when the woman is significantly older than the man. - Your K1 was denied circa 2018 and you were suggested to file for the CR1. However, just getting married is not enough. I don’t know how you manage to not see your wife, your significant other, who you love dearly, in four years. Most likely the CR1 will be denied too. And it’s not just because of this marriage, but because of your previous interactions with USCIS. For reference, this is what you posted back in the day :
  8. Why would he? It’s already in the system. He already knows what he needs to from it. It’s not that he didn’t ask because it was all good. Probably he didn’t ask because why would he? Nigeria was open in April 2020. And even if it wasn’t, we are in 2023… The election is a thing of the past and, unless guerrillas are taking over, for which there would be no election, I am missing the connection between elections and a visit. What do you think?
  9. I am making an appointment with the beautician as we speak. My car's name is Maggie. Maggie was in excellent shape until now! It's really easy to forget that he's still a puppy and will do puppy "stuff". From a coworker that has a registered farm! About two weeks ago, they were unwashed and outside of the fridge so it was all done properly on my end. I will just give her a heads up, I am sure there was no foul (fowl yes, there was fowl!) involved. "Cocha" is named after his breeder "La Cocha". The farm is built near an native settlement, and in their language it means "Lake". The funny part is that when we were flying the puppy from Argentina to the US my husband was in between two names, Messi (it was right around the World Cup time that we got him) or Cocha.. So on papers he is Messi Cocha de La Cocha lol
  10. Well, that was an interesting weekend to say the least. On Friday we had to walk eight miles for a school field day. The weather was nice. I was driving back home from school when a careless driver got out of a parking lot and made a left turn on a right turn only sign. I guess you can imagine the rest. Thankfully, it's all cosmetic damage. The other driver did apologize profusely and admitted their fault. Fine. I made it home. Saturday morning rolls in, Zach got up first, let the two puppies out only to find out that the youngest puppy (90 lb and 7 months...) was "playing" with a squirrel, which of course at this point was the body of a squirrel. Puppy got called in, teeth got brushed, and all was said and done... Or at least that's what we thought. Puppy (from now on, Cocha) wanted to go out again, to what Zach thought potty but apparently he had other plans and he made himself a second toy squirrel. I got up after all this happened, was ready to make some eggs for breakfast but I guess mother nature had other plans for me and the eggs were completely rotten... Which I realized after cracking them open and spilling some egg whites onto the pan... The smell was pungent. Zach and I ended up gagging. That was Saturday. The day got better. Sunday morning rolls in, I went to cook eggs for breakfast and... guess what happened. Another rotten egg, another 10 minutes of gagging. After this, I took the dogs to the dog park, I let them run free and wild, then we came back home Cocha wanted to go out. I let him out and he got the third squirrel. The whole weekend felt like events kept repeating as if in a loop!
  11. Maybe the reason why more women freeze eggs and raise their kids on their own is because they don’t want to raise two kids at the same time -that is, the father and the child.
  12. Right, women “suffering” because men are not doing so well. The article is emphasizing that “men need to be fixed” by society, which is largely composed by women. So this article is suggesting that we, women, need to fix men. Men are not held accountable for fixing themselves. Women are.
  13. Because that might not have been the purpose of the article, which is flawed imho. I was asking @TBoneTX why he places the burden of a marriage solely in women -it takes two to tango so to speak.
  14. So was it a mistake or not? Did you do it intentionally? Do you live with your wife? I thought you were married? So you applied with your wife’s address, but then you stayed in a hotel? I’m confused.
  15. I have seen men do that too. Respectfully, Why are we putting the burden only on women to form a loving, healthy relationship?
  16. Tagging along what @Timona said, you don’t need a lawyer. Save that money. Send a letter to the address stated on your I-751 requesting to switch to a divorce waiver. In the meantime, start organizing your evidence of a bona fide relationship. When you have the divorce decree, send it in together with the evidence and an affidavit saying that the relationship was bona fide, it just didn’t work out. Ask your ex if he’d be willing to write an affidavit for you saying the same. Sign it, notarize, send it.
  17. Agreed. People that have pending cases with immigration should be better informed in order to avoid being discriminated at
  18. Yeah definitely do bring those, together with electricity bills, and restaurant receipts
  19. Absolutely, if there’s one thing I’ve learned throughout all of this is to take one thing at a time. Just like you, I want to be done
  20. Pero si pudieron llenar los documentos y obviamente usar un celular, no entiendo por qué necesitas alguien que te los suba…Capaz me estoy perdiendo de algo.
  21. Congrats! But that’s not the rule… and actually the officer went against their own requirement of living together for the past three years.
  22. It sucks that you're also in this situation, but it feels good that I am not alone. Honestly, I don't care about getting citizenship fast (after all, we have almost same rights as a USC except for voting), but what really bugs me is the lack of transparency with which they handle cases. People at Columbus FO that applied even after me are already getting scheduled for an interview...
  23. Bring vaccination records, school transcripts, Walmart receipts, old drivers licenses, your latest ultrasound, your paystubs Just joking. Bring what the letter says, nothing more, nothing less
