  1. To summarize: You can submit your 751 when your window opens. You will include your 751 form, the G-1145 (for e-notifications), evidence of the bona fide of the relationship, and a statement/ cover letter where you (and maybe your spouse) state that the marriage was entered in good faith, but it is not in a good position right now. If your spouse is willing to cooperate, you can both sign that letter. If not, you can just write the letter yourself. If you decide to divorce, you will send a letter (following @Mike E's content suggestions) stating that you wish to convert to a divorce waiver. Down the line, they will send you an RFE for the decree. If you decide to patch things up, let the joint application run its course. If otherwise your case is straightforward (no criminal records, etc) you might be ok to travel
  2. First, please fill your timeline in order to get more accurate answers. As for the filling itself, follow the same format that is presented on the form.
  3. You're living in England. You can't come to the US on a J1 visa with the intent of adjusting. That's fraud.
  4. You might not have done anything wrong during your stay, but you did something wrong when you tried to enter on an ESTA. Your record says otherwise. Anyhow, I have nothing else fruitful to add to this post, so good luck in your future
  5. You know what’s wrong? What’s wrong is trying to come on an ESTA with the intention to stay and misrepresenting yourself. Thank you, but Argentina already has enough on its plate and I don’t think that someone that lies to get a benefit is what we need right now!
  6. Hey there! We do have a WhatsApp group for Argentinian filers... If you want to join, please send me a DM with your number. I promise we keep the group relevant to only immigration- related questions and comments. Also, I know hindsight 20/20, but when an applicant goes to an interview they need to bring everything that's already submitted + new evidence.
  7. …. And just like that, I’m one step closer to the end! Interview was today at 8:00 am at the USCIS Columbus Field Office. We went with my husband, but at first the officer only called me in. I had a few corrections/ update to make, so before I was sworn in I let him know of this. He said it was ok, not a problem. So he swore me in, then started with the civics test: - What did MLK junior do? - What are two US national holidays? - two political parties - why did the colonists fight the British? - Name one tribe - How many justices? The reading was: who elects Congress? Writing: People elect Congress. Then we went on to the application. I made the changes / updates. For the weapons training question, I marked “yes” because I own a gun, which my husband has been teaching me to use. I explained this, he changed the question to “no” and he added “informal”. After I was done, he called my husband in, asked him when we got married, my full name, my DOB, his marital status. And that was it! He printed off the paper recommending me for approval on the spot. It felt more like a casual conversation, he was professional but friendly. Funny note: he asked me how long 751s are taking because officer’s wife has a pending one! 😂😂😂
  8. Had my N400 interview yesterday. It went great. Approval on the spot. Today I got the notice that my Oath ceremony will be on Sept 19th. It's hard to believe I am almost done!

  10. Oath ceremony scheduled for Sept 19th. And no, I am not going to go live on Hacking's show to announce it.
  11. Yeah… what’s the wait time for my second cousin from Nigeria? He’s divorced from his wife back there, he’s 35 and fell head over heels with my 85 year old neighbor. Do you think I could help him?
  12. Wait, they cut off the part where I explained that the officer asked me how long are 751s taking because wife has a pending one! 😂😂😂😂
  13. Time does indeed fly. Now I just want my oath ceremony and that’s it! Lol
  14. With two denials, you have an uphill battle in front of you. Good luck.
  15. The officer said about 6 weeks from now. He said it takes a month to receive the Oath letter, and then 1-2 weeks until the Oath date. So around October I'd say. Hopefully by Thanksgiving I'll be a citizen!

  17. Yayyyy I told ya!!! Yep, they gave me 47 days of notice for my interview. So basically when they change the date on the “actively being reviewed” status it means that someone has at least touched your file. I just hope to receive the approval after the interview tomorrow. That’d make my day!
  18. I never got a notification, but once I was randomly checking my N400 status and I noticed that the "actively being reviewed" status date changed from Feb to June. And then about 3 weeks later the status changed to "interview scheduled". Also, my 751 was pending, and on July 17th (six days after I got the interview scheduled status update) it was approved, out of the blue. My interview is tomorrow at 8:00 am!!! So yours might be coming soon.
  19. I just read this. Congrats! I have my interview tomorrow at 8:00 am at the Columbus Field Office!! I wanted to ask you, did they give you a paper after the interview? What did the paper say? And did you have any online status update after your interview?
  20. Well, given the circumstances I actually think I’m being generous with a 5%. If USCIS applies the law in this case, OP should at least have an interview. At least.
