  1. There is no secret. We sent a very complete, thorough package that included evidence since our green card was approved, and it took 18 months.
  2. I had my oath ceremony this Tuesday and I saw a big range of attires. Some were very casual, but most of us were business formal. I believe I also saw some cultural attires. You will be just fine with the kilt! That's part of who you are!
  3. Ha! Yes, they are very cute and friendly. Unfortunately in the last few years you see them more and more in the city because of deforestation and destruction of their habitats. Argentina has all kinds of weather, and weather- related activities. There is literally something to see in every region of the country. I love Buenos Aires itself -a mix of Europe. It’s cosmopolitan, yet hippie at the same time. Definitely the best (and most expensive !) restaurants in the country. If he likes mountains and dry weather, try the north. The State of Jujuy limits with Bolivia, the land is full of minerals and this renders hills that have literally fourteen soil colors in them. If he likes snow, Patagonia (South) is the place to visit. The glaciers are there, and they are astounding. Lots of ski- related activities. On the west side you have the beautiful State of Mendoza, with the Andes mountains and he could actually visit Mount Aconcagua. The Aconcagua is the second tallest mountain in the world -second only to Mount Everest. The Andes mountains and the weather make Mendoza a leader wine producer -he could take a wine tour! Having been to all these places, I have to say that my number one recommendation is to visit the Iguazu Falls, which are on the East of the country limiting with Brazil. They are the tallest natural waterfalls of the world -and if I’m not mistaken, they are one of the World’s Seven Wonders. I know for sure they are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I can guarantee you he’s never seen anything like it!
  4. Combo interviews are for 751s AND naturalization, and they cannot be waived.
  5. As of today at 9:04 am I’m officially a citizen of the United States. It hasn’t been always easy, but for me, it was pretty fast. If you’re still waiting, stay strong, your time shall come! Many blessings to you all.

  7. Why worry about something that hasn't happened yet? And if it did, you have no control over it.
  8. But you haven’t answered the question; if it is a TRUE emergency and bringing your sister will take years AND money is not an issue, why not just hire someone here? Or does your sister have highly specific knowledge and skills to help your mom? (In which case she should come on a work visa). I guess my question is: what is it that your sister can do that others can’t?
  9. So if money isn’t an issue, and considering the urgency of the situation, why are you trying to bring your sister instead of just hiring someone in the US to do the job?
  10. Marry and adjust ASAP so you enter in a period of authorized stay. Hopefully it doesn't happen, but this is what could happen if you don't do it quickly
  11. My eyes cannot believe I missed it!!!! Guess what I am going to watch in a few....
  12. No. N400 interviews are never waived. My 485 and my 751 were waived
  13. I got mine approved without an interview. Read the opening post for this thread for reference:
  14. Even with a decision abroad, OP is safe to travel. Worse case scenario they stamp her boarding pass with SSSS and she'll have to go through extra security. It just happened to me.
  15. Tons of people are in your same situation. As long as your extension letter is valid and you have the expired green card you are good to go
  16. Ok I went back and read your previous post, where not one, not two but close to four people (me included) told you to reapply again, because DHS will perceive how desperate you are to get to the US. This is going to hurt your chances in the long run. Europe has excellent educational opportunities. Probably better than the ones in the US.
  17. You said that your studies would help my country, which if you see the flag and my profile it is Argentina
  18. Usually you show those documents at the Embassy interview, not at CBP. I have had an F1 and a J1 visa and not once was I ever asked to show any documents to CBP. All the documents were shown at the interviews in the Embassy. Did they beat you? It looks like you used an agency to fill out your DS-160. Why did you need an agency? Did you check your application before signing it? Also, you said you had savings for one year... How long are your studies? How are you planning to support yourself after that first year?
  19. Sorry, I don't remember this one. My expertise with Hacking are the popcorn worth relationship issue cases.
