  1. Had my interview, got asked about civics and the usual stuff. Officer had my I751 in front of him and barely looked through it. Asked for additional docs that I may have had and I gave him the above documents, he asked me to confirm my loyalty to the US and such and congragulated me on passing N400. That said he gave me a piece of paper stating a "decision cannot be made" but said I'll approve your ROC today (still no updates on ROC). Did not ask if my wife was there or not and barely asked anything about marriage and such. He seemed super pleasant I felt vulnerable pleading my loyalty to the US and shed a tear or two thinking how this country took me in and gave me another shot at life and that was the moment I realized how much this country means to me. Now waiting for ROC decision and Oath Ceremony. Thank you everyone and wish all the folks well.
  2. Documents I am bringing: Updated lease (current) Updated Bank and investment accounts since applying for I751 and the ones I did not upload to n400 portal Federal Tax returns for the last 4 years Our Marriage Cert Spouses divorce decree Utility Bills ID showing we both reside in the same place My Spouse Wish me luck. Since it's scheduled for 8AM maybe I'd get the same day oath ceremony? Also our laptops allowed? I was planing to go to work in case I don't get scheduled for oath the same day.
  3. It wasn't really about info but somehow being able to follow your case. I understand that this situation can be overwhelming and hard but I just thought proving your case to an outsider in an easier to understand and chronological flow would definately help you especially in dealing with USCIS. Best of luck
  4. I have my N400 interview in a week,I have a pending I751 and requested a joint interview. I am putting together a list of documents to bring, please let me know if I am missing anything: My Passports ( they are expired and I have not asked for a renewal) GC + Extension letter Tax Returns Marriage Certificate Spouses divorce letter Spouses Passport Updated Lease and some bonafide docs (supplied a ton during I751 and N400) Both Our ID
  5. I don't have much info here my only suggestion to you is to keep the information about your case brief and on point. It's hard to really follow your case as there is so much irrelevant (to USCIS or Lawyer) info. I would look at this way: You applied for AOS on xyz date and it seemingly got rejected (hopefully there is a rejection letter) You applied again and it got approved (with the approval date and such) While the moving part and grandparents co sponsor is important often times explaining the whole situation to another person may seem confusing and hard to follow. I understand it may be stressful and you want to give more information to the person you are seeking advice from but it can confuse someone who probably has other stuff on their mind and is trying to get to the bottom of your situation. The move dates and living with others are important but I would focus on interactions with USCIS followed by dates and forms and then maybe tell the whole story after they realize what is going on. Wish you all the best
  6. I am in the same boat and got the update, ideally I'd want to have my card approved before mid august (N400 INTERVIEW) But we shall see
  7. Sooooooooooooooooooooooo happy for you. As weird as it sounds this was the best news (So far) today.
  8. I understand the feeling, my point is you may want to form the issue in bullet points and refrain from making points that seem unrelated to each other. Officers are not really interested about all the small details and want the basics from you that are pertinent. My point about getting hung up was an extreme case but try to form your points as short and informative as possible
  9. Sorry too long and kinda messy details. My Advice: Simply ask for the notice provided that you are eligible to receive it. The way you framed your situation seems rather incohesive and hard to follow and if the officer is having a bad day they may just hang up or something. Just tell them you did not get the notice (assuming this is the case) Your lawyer would have a copy if you have one.
  10. No Movement on my YSC case other than the biometric reuse notice 2 weeks ago. Filed for N400 In March 2024 (NYC)
  11. There is litterally tons of resources regarding "next steps", unless there is nothing unique about your case please use the search function on both google and here.
  12. If you are in YSC So many cases are getting adjusted.
  13. I am foolish enough to hope the biometrics update could mean our cases in potomac could be approved in a few weeks
  14. Just checked casestatusext , so many cases got the update and I don't think it could mean much since around 900 people got updated for a block of 3500, there is no way they'd process that many cases in 3 months imho
  15. I also got the "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" ,either someone is working those cases or its just a random update. Most likely random since they all happened at the same time, but if it's random why only a subset of the cases as per casestatusext? November 2022 filer

  17. I was dealing with some work stuff and applied for N400 in March Instead of November. Having applied in March I am still pending on my cases (been 93 days or so). Wish I had applied sooner
  18. I applied for N400 in early march, no news besides the biometric reuse which seems to be a generic letter. It has been 78 days .....
  19. I filed for ROC november 2022 and applied for N400 in March 2023, no movements as of yet.
  20. I filed for N400 March 1st 2024 out of NYC. I also applied for ROC in November 2022; there is no movement on either except the generic biometric notice for N400 and the obvious extensions on green cards. Is this normal?
  21. I'm pretty sure you can cough up some more evidence if you think about it for a few days. I even included the Amtrack tickets we took to Philly for a day trip. As long as it has both your names and you did it together I would include it.
  22. The only advice I can give is to sit down and think of all the documents that will support your case and make redundant copies of them. Assuming you filed for ROC last summer collect everything from that period up to now. If possible have a copy of the original ROC package too. Bank statements, joint documents, tax, photos and everything else that you can think of. Hell even this months bank statements should be included. Since you may be emotionally not in a good place I'll make a list: All joint bank account transactions between you two (Venmo) 401K+ Joint Insurance Utility Bills Travel logs and itineraries Tax Children birth certificate (if you have any) Apartment lease Joint mortgage Joint car plans Photos (ideally showing you amongst friends, family or travelling) Joint gym plans? There is a lot of info on timing and such and I am no expert but this is what I think could help you the most in case your first I751 gets denied and you have to refile again. As a side note and friendly advice it may be best to be more friendly in the divorce and not have a nasty angry man chasing you down. (while it may seem far fetched there are a few stories here and there of ex spouses getting super nasty)
