Hi, So far no one has mentioned the physical for a CR1 spousal Visa, How and where near Manila can we go for her physical? Our Journey so far, I filed May 27th, 2023, I got approved Sept 2024, before I was approved they asked for more proof of our marriage. Apparently they didn't see where her marriage was annulled, they were looking for a separate document, in the Philippines they annotate on the boarder of the marriage license the annulment information, I drew a thick black boarder around it with arrows pointing to it, sent the package back in digitally, with in 3 days I was approved and my case was closed and moved to the NVC (National Visa Center) Once at the NVC, things started rolling along fast, after all of our documents were approved it slowed down again. If you don't hear back from the NVC with in a reasonable time, go to this website, https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/nonimmigrant-visa-inquiry-form/, fill out the form and ask your question, they always got back to me with in 7 working days. There is a process you must go through to get to the area where you can make your biometric and final appointments. The biometric is to prepare you for the final interview, they take your finger prints check you documents and so forth, this is not at the embassy, they will provide the address when you get to that point. Her biometric appoint is in Feb, final appointment is mid March, hopefully she will be here in the US by end of March. Thank you, and good luck on your visa journey Dan & Juliana Nora Eaton

Hi, we got through the NVC process about a month ago and our application was sent to the US Embassy Manila. The NVC went quickly, all of our documents and application was approved on Sept 3. How can we make sure the application got to the embassy and isnt lost in the process? How can I check the wait times for an appointment letter? I would like to thank you all for the help in the past, I have tried to respond to you individually, I cant figure it out. Thank you for all of your help and suggestions, Dan and Juliana

Hi, I cannot not figure out what tax transcript they are asking for. This is the information they give; Please upload and submit Dan's most recent Wage and Income IRS tax transcript from 2023. A transcript can be obtained on the IRS's website: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript. If you were not required to file a tax return, please write, and scan an explanation for not filing. If you filed taxes with your spouse, please also submit all of your W-2s and or 1099s. For more information, please visit https://nvc.state.gov/fin. I have gone to the website and uploaded both available transcripts for year 22 and 23, sent in all of my 1099s for both years which were accepted. Both of my Federal Income Tax Return or Transcript has been rejected. I submitted these transcripts on Aug 21, they show they have been uploaded, I just resent my 2023 and 2022 return and account transcripts again, they have been uploaded alng with the same transcripts i sent on the 21st. I even filled out Form 8879 for both years and uploaded it. I hope someone can give me guidance on what I need to send in. Thank you again for your help. Dan and Juliana

I recieved a letter from USCIS wanting proof of evidence of our marriage, I was at 4 months, They received the proof and it went up tp 5 months, later that day my application was approved and case closed. This happened last thursday. As I was told when my dates kept changing from 1 week to 5 months not to be concerned with those dates. I applied May 28 2023. -
My spouse is in the Philipines waiting for her spouse visa. I received a Request for Evidence letter from USCIS. They want evidence of shared bank accounts, share housing contracts ect... She has never been to the US, I tried to sign her on to my bank accounts and with out a SSA they can't. My tax preparer didnt put me as married since she isnt here and no SSA. We were able to add her as my military dependent at the VA in Manila. Is there a way I can get her a SSA while we are waiting for the Visa? On the items they want shared contracts I wrote in the letter why she isnt on them. Thank you for any help. Dan & Juliana Nora

I was just going to ask for any advice on applying for a spouse tourist visa. There is a drop down screen asking what type of tourist visa I am applying for, spouse was listed, when i tapped it, it asked for my USCIS account number, I didnt have it at the time, I have it now, further down it asked for her passport information, we just got that today also. So I'm ready to apply for it unless i get advice from here that its not advisable.

I sent in the I-130 and I-130a, Im waiting for an account number that the tourist spouse visa is asking for,

Once I get my USCIS account number abd she recieves her philippine passport i plan to apply for a tourist spouse visa in hopes she can wait in the states while her spouse visa is being processed. We understand that she will not be allowed to work during that time.

thanks for your input, im finding out she cant get a us passport, why i was asking, i dont want to make the spouse visa any harder than it is. I heard the embassy can process the visa if they want to, im working on that too, im not trying to do anything illegal, just looking for a legal backdoor that is publisized if you know what i mean, we had a long wait to get her annulment done due to covid, then it took us 5 months to process the paperwork to get the decree. I will ask if there is anything we can do to get the embassy to process it, if not, ill fly home and send the application in, it is ready to go. Thanks for you comments. If i find anything out, ill post it.

If I knew the answers I wouldnt be asking the questions. I stated that we need to apply for a spouse visa using the I-130 I-130a applications. I am trying to find short cuts that are legal and wont hinder the spouse visa process, this is why I am getting advice. I dont know where else to get information at this point. We have an appointment tomorrow to sign her up for military benefits at the US Embassy VA office in Manila, I will ask there also and then see what we find when we try to apply for a US passport at the US Embassy in Manila next week. Everything we do is legal, we will not lie on the applications. We are married and I would like to take her home with me while we wait for her visa. Thanks for your input. Dan & Juliana Nora

Hi, I married my Filipina finally, we have an appointment at the Manila US Embassy VA to enroll her into military benefits May 25th, and an appointment to apply for her US Passport at the Manila US Embassy on June 5th. While at the mall I was talking to a US Citizen who told me I could take my filipina wife to the states on a US Passport then send in the I-130 and I-130a applications from the US. I need some advice on this, he also said I would need to marry her again in the US. If anyone has information on bringing her to the US using her US Passport it would be greatly appreciated. I dont want to break any laws that would could enfringe on getting her visa processed. I have recieved good advice from VisaJourney members so far and appreciate all your help. We just finished getting her annulment decree through the system which only took us 5 months. Once I get through this process and have a better idea about it through my experience, I will be sharing my experiences and help answer questions. Thank you any information about taking her home on a US passport before turning in the I-130 application. Dan & Juliana Nora

The jobs are legit from assoiciates that do have a job for her. We have an appoint at the embassy May 25th to enroll her for military benefits, we are going to see if there is some type of back door we can use to get it done, if not then i will send the application in through normal channels. I dont think it will take that long, less than a year. So that is our plan B.

Hi, finally got the annulment decree. We are planning to marry May 20th in the Philippines. She has two job offers in the US starting this summer and I have a residence in the Philippines and another in the US. From what I understand the embassy could accept to process our I-130. How do I ask the embassy if they would process our visa? Thank you for your help. Dan & Juliana

I have been the camp host at Honeymoon Flat since 2016, I'm not going to be able to make it this year for opener. They arent sure when it is going to open due to all the snow. My goal for coming here is to get married, I cant believe how long and the hassle it is to get the final annulment document, We went to the statistic center yesterday to check on it and was told to come back on April 21st to pick it up. After that we can start the marriage process, I hope its no as complicated and time consuming as the annulment. Once we get married I can get back to my camphost job. Luckily, my 5th wheel is parked in Smith Valley NV 55 miles north off 395. If youre ever in the area, stop in sometime and say hi. Thanks for the advice. Dan and Juliana .

We went to the statistics center yesterday for the annulment decree, they said to return on April 21st. On the affidavit, I can have it notarized anywhere now and the annulment doesnt need to be publicized as her lawyer kept telling us that it was needed. Thanks for all your info and advice. Dan and Juliana

Since we will be in Manila tomorrow, we will stop by the embassy and inquire about it. All the can tell me is no.

Wow, congratulations, thats great. I hope it all works out. Is she keeping her Philippine citizenship also? -
Thank you for the information, I had a copy of the Affidavit in Lieu of letter, I liked the one you sent me better, I was able to fill it out on the computer and print it. We will visit the stastics center next week and I will find out for sure where I need to have it notarized. Thanks for your advice, much appreciated Dan & Juliana
