  1. Yes it's weird. Mine went for 9 to 6 to 7 the next day (yesterday). Hmmmm.....let's not stress. It'll happen. ๐Ÿ™
  2. Hello All! I just checked USCIS site and my timeline had started at 11 months, then 10 months, then 9, and today it says 6 months! Maybe a birthday gift; April 27th!!! ๐Ÿ˜ YAY.....it seems like many of us are having our timeline get smaller and smaller. [My N400 voyage so far: I applied on October 30th, pretty quickly got notified that the biometrics would be reused, and I live in SFBA, office is in San Francisco.] Again, good luck to us allโฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ™ P.S. I must be blind, but I cannot find the simple search function here in the forums. Help?
  3. Helle Lexie! I applied Oct 30 (way over 5 years as a resident) and at first my USCIS timeline showed 11 months then dropped to 10, then 9....it has stayed there on 9. It looks like some people here are getting their interviews really FAST! Fingers crossed for us all. ๐Ÿคž
  4. Help October VJ Filers! Some super great news here. A few people are already in the queue for interviews....WOW! And some of us have been notified that the process will take 9 months. That's what the USCIS tracking said for me today. A few days ago it was 10 months and before that !! months. Fingers crossed it falls to even less. ๐Ÿ˜Š I am in SFBA (near San Francisco, CA); filed in the "over 5 years" as a permanent resident category. Did it online and hit send October 30. Biometrics will be reused it said on their tracking page. Good luck to us all. BTW I am going to bring my tax printouts with me once I get notified for my interview. I imagine bringing all our IDs and documents in a folder is advisable. My taxes will not show much income and zero during the three years of pandemic shut down. It's sad I know, however I have managed. Any advice on handling any of this?
  5. Thank you kindly to each of you! I will simply hit SEND and sit and wait for responses from USCIS. Happy to finally be doing this as it's been on my list of important things to do for years. ๐Ÿ™
  6. Thanks so much Andy! That was most helpful. Wow, number three!!! ๐Ÿ˜Š
  7. Help EveryOne! I'm about to hit the SEND button on my N400 application. It's nerve wracking! I started a thread as to whether I should include a personal letter about why my marriage dissolved. Should I? I've been a permanent resident since 2008. Also a couple of other questions: ~ it looks like for some people's biometrics were reused and they didn't have to go in for this. Am I reading that right? ~ It looks like the timelines are quite short. Is it taking only about 6 months now? Good luck to us all. ๐Ÿ™
  8. Hello Wonderfull tribe! These forums were paramount in not losing my mind when I applied for my K1 and then all the steps after that as well. That marriage dissolved, however I am finally getting to completing the online forms to naturalize. Yes, I decided to get over my fear of requesting citizenship! I've complete the online form, and have stopped short of hitting send because I'm wondering if anyone here wrote a letter to accompany it, and attached that. The online thingie just seems too "simple". ๐Ÿ˜‚ I was considering as "additional evidence" to add a personal note about why I want to become a citizen, and perhaps why my marriage ended. I'm sitting on that thought. See attached screenshot. I'm excited that, if all goes well, it looks like the timing is around 6 months now to get to the interview! May all of you be well in your world.
  9. Hello EveryOne! I am almost finished with any online application N400. That last section....would you recommend attaching a personal letter as to why I want to naturalize? I've been a US resident since 2008. Perhaps I should start a new thread. (An aside: I was quite an active person here when going through my K1 on 2007 to 2008 and love VJ. That account was lost somehow and I started a new one.)
