  1. Hi yall, I had my interview today at the Newark NJ office. I arrived 15 min before my scheduled time (11:15 am). I was called in around 11:40 am. My letter didn’t say that it would be a combo interview (ROC +N-400) but the interviewer approved my ROC before starting the civic test (my husband didn’t come with me to the interview but it didn’t cause an issue). She asked: 1. When was the Constitution written? 2. Who vetoes bills? 3. Name the U.S. war between the North and the South. 4. What major event happened on September 11, 2001, in the United States? 5. When do we celebrate Independence Day? 6. What is one right or freedom from the First Amendment? I got all the answers correctly and she moved forward to the reading/writing test. On a tablet, the sentence “Who can vote” showed up and she asked me to read it out loud. Then she asked me to write down the answer: “Citizens can vote. Then she asked for a couple of personal information like, my address, phone number, my employer’s name and country of birth. After signing a few things on the tablet, she told me that I was approved for naturalization and an oath ceremony would be scheduled (I requested a name change). When I was exiting the building at 12:10 pm, I received an email saying that my ROC and N-400 were approved. I’m now waiting for the oath ceremony to be scheduled which she told me it’d take between 1-2 months due to the name change request. Good luck yall!
  2. I just got an email saying that my interview was scheduled for July 16 (Newark NJ Office, 3-year rule).
  3. Hey yall, I've been checking casestatusext.com lately and I'm surprised by the amount of I-751 (Receipt Block: IOE-09) cases being approved really fast. This one was approved within 3 weeks after filling:
  4. Hey y'all, I called USCIS last month to confirm whether the receipt notice was sent and they informed me that it was sent on March 21. I called them today since it's been one month the NOA was sent and I didn't receive it. They filed an e-request for another letter to be sent. I'm so worried cause I have an important work trip (outside of the U.S) at the end of May and the return date is after my GC expiration. If I don't receive the letter that entails the GC extension I might have to cancel the trip and it will probably cause me a tremendous financial loss.
  5. Hey ya'll, I talked with an agent through Emma's live chat today because I have not received any letter in the mail yet (the petition was received on March 15). They couldn't confirm whether any mail was sent, but they confirmed my biometrics will be reused. I thought it was very interesting since my case status is still reflecting as "being actively reviewed by USCIS". Well, at least I know a biometric appointment letter won't be sent. I'll wait until April 15 to send a request for a missing letter. I have a trip scheduled after my GC's expiration date. Just want to make sure I have the extension letter before leaving the country.
  6. Hello y'all, I haven't received any notice in the mail as of today, so I logged in to myUSCIS account and an error popped up: The tab for my I-751 form was deleted and when I try to add it again, it asks for the Online Access Code that I've never received. When I check the receipt number on the Case Status Online website it still shows "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS". I also noticed that the "Inbox" option is unavailable. Should I call USCIS to see what's going on or this might be a website glitch?
  7. I've got a question regarding N-400... I got married to my spouse (U.S citizen by birth) on March 13, 2020 and we've been living together in the U.S since then. I received my 2-years Green Card on June 02, 2021. I know that one of the criteria to apply for N-400 is to be married for at least 3 years. Last week we completed 3 years of marriage and I was wondering if I'm eligible to apply for citizenship or do I have to wait June 02, 2024 to apply for it? Thank you, R&E
