  1. how long have u lived in UK? For birth on or after November 14, 1986, the U.S. citizen parent must have been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for five years prior to the person's birth,
  2. wonder how u did this in 5 dayso going to casa embassy getting all documents translated to arabic going to Rabat to office of foreign minister and then to home city to meet with police and judge? did u send any documents ahead so the translations could be done before u got there? we spent 4 days jjust to get to the judge who traveled from city to city and after finally getting him, we waited 2 weeks for Rabat to approve the marriage certificate for us to appear and sign
  3. under the terms of the I 864 instructions, how could u liquate the house into cash https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/i-864-affidavit-faqs.html#aos15 What can be used as assets? Financial sponsors can only include assets that are convertible into cash within one year and without considerable hardship or financial loss to the sponsor and his/her family. Examples of assets easily convertible to cash are savings, stocks, bonds and property.
  4. usually K2 for child needs permission from other parent or court order to allow the child to travel outside the country it would be good to ask if this is so for the philippines in the Asian forum
  5. Casa embassy is familiar with traditional wedding celebration and it will be "too married for a K1" Yeah exactly, that is why it is not going to be a wedding and there won't be any imame, just me and my family, sisters and mother and maybe a best friend, there won't be any wedding dresses, just normal cool Moroccan clothing and not so many people, maximum 6 persons, I think that should be okay, if you still think that's risky then I'd better just avoid it and have pictures with my family together enjoying ourselves somewhere. That is flirting with a K1 denial and important to add If approved a K1, don't think to marry or have a celebration in Moroc / a visa can and has been revoked (mississippi woman tried this) allah yekbel
  6. The combination of pent-up demand from the past two years combined with regular seasonal demand has resulted in extended wait times for U.S. visa interview appointments in some locations – most notably for first-time visitor visa applicants and immigrant visa applicants in some countries.Nov 17, 2022
  7. and sometimes they hurt the tourist visa applicant
  8. Red flag issues like big age difference (10 or more years)? https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/red-flags-that-make-uscis-suspect-marriage-fraud.html
  9. OP statement "she will come to Morocco again this summer to meet and be together for 2 weeks and have a traditional morocco ceremony, because the Moroccan embassy familiar that it is important for us to do that and it is not regarded as actual marriage, " Casa embassy is familiar with traditional wedding celebration and it will be "too married for a K1"
  10. answered some of this age difference is not an issue education is good engagement party ???? no way my engagement party was with women only /if one includes women and men and any "kind of moroccan dress" it will be looked as wedding celebration especially if IMAM is present i hope the USC carefully checked all the rapid visa petition info before signing it the OP should gather the additional boarding passes of the USC for the following visits CO tends to not look at them at interview but will ask "when did you last meet?" then give a 221g asking them to submit additional evidence (even documents taken to interview) Seriously, with the good education and age difference of only 9 years, these 2 may be approved if they don't submit photos that look like a celebration of marriage Religion? when parents are muslim , a child in Morocco is automatically considered muslim and that is entered on passport a person can take a small 'leave of absence " to go thru the steps and there are Many to marry in Morocco OR take the documents on one trip and follow thru the next visit to sign the marriage official documents
  11. AP in African countries usually means they check the validity of documents According to a Canadian report According to a report of the African Human Security Initiative published on the Website of the Institute for Security Studies (ISS), in theory, the systems in place in Nigeria to prevent forgeries of identification documents include a system of "barcode and watermarks" (n.d.). However, in practice, corruption has increased the availability of forgeries (ibid. n.d.). Be glad they kept his passport as that is a good sign but prepare yourself for what could be a long wait
  12. and i would add if a couple really needs to be together, the USC can make the move immigration isn't what is keeping couples apart
  13. u r missing a lot of good points can u imagine if there were no controls how many children and women would be bought here for sex trafficking? if the couple didn't have to provide clean criminal reports ? And again, the process of checking documents and the interview is to protect both sides Case 1 VJ member USC (reading years ago on here) went to Atlanta to meet his K1 fiancee she started texting him saying customs and immigration wouldn't allow her thru (he should have known customs and immigration doesn't allow use of a cell but he was naive) As he was leaving he saw her leaving in someone' else's car Case 2 Moroccan woman was brutally killed by her husband
  14. what language is on current passport if Japanese, go to google translate and copy and paste the Japanese i did that for the Arabic for ours
  15. and as LPR on the spouse visa, she can leave to see her mom she must limit the stay per USCIS guides but she can come and go
  16. 4th quarter results show 48,118 K1 received 2022 16,201 approved (year's total) 9,492 denied and 55, 475 pending remember many are still pending from previous year when u try to add the numbers https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/data/Quarterly_All_Forms_FY2022_Q4.pdf
  17. Co's can seem tough but they have guidelines it isn't to keep couples apart they look act a lot of issues how many K1's a petitioner has done for several reasons which include protecting both parties they look at the Number of divorces they look at the age difference they look at income they look at how well 2 people know each other in real life they look at drug use they look at communicable diseases and other issues our case took 6 years from a denied K1 in 2009 to approved spouse visa in 2015 was i upset? yeah, but i know the CO was concerned for our age difference / all i can say is i am one of the lucky ones who was fortunate enough to last immigration process and not give up (many do) and to still be married to a decent man after 13 years there are others like a VJ member who fought a NOIR and got her man here // he left her within a month for his "real" gf in Atlanta /he just used his wife for a green card
  18. I heard they really advice this from Visa Morocco Facebook group as it helps show that the fiance got to know the family etc, she was able to meet my familyI that is very poor advise /it will look like a wedding celebration and many have been denied for the following when doing this "too married for a K1" we have seen this many times here in the past my engagement party was just with the women and with no beautiful Moroccan gowns If u sent photos with beautiful moroccan gowns and women with men, its going to look like a marriage celebration ages and education are on your side/sounds good just "not enough time spent together" and the CO usually doesn't look at evidence bought to interview but will ask " when was the last time she visited"
  19. it does come from white and associates (attoneys) compiled from the monthly reports put out by embassies https://visarefusal.com/inadmissibility/k-1-visa-refusals/#:~:text=According to those statistics%2C approximately, initial denial%2C some do not.
  20. 4 years online is not what immigration wants to see/they need actual time spent together ask the USC to look up the site /i know some of these sites don't come up outside the US BUT i hit the paragraph of stats of 40% denied K1 visas (directly from USCIS stats) and # 5 reason was "short courting period (time together) before filing K1 Good luck
  21. Probably no assets -he is Moroccan they are concerned with the long time to go thru the steps to marry in Moroc/ took us 6 weeks
  22. she will not be allowed into the US embassy do not do any type of family celebration in Morocco even if u don't register it in Rabat especially if IMAM is present as he has to report to Rabat chances of K1 being denied are high with only 1 2 week meeting If u have to marry, she could use this year's 2 weeks to do all the paperwork and visits to Casa embassy for her paper of eligibility, to Rabat to foreign minister, and back home to meet with police and judge. then she could return the next year for the actual signing of the marriage papers/ Yes, this will take time-years but that is probably what will have to happen if the 2 of u haven't spent much time together. took us 6 years to get a visa with 5 trips from a month to 3 months. what red flags do u have? Age difference? education difference? religious difference?
  23. he says his fiance and they don't want to meet again to file I 129 they would have to meet to marry and file I 130
