Airport transit visa needed or no?
JeanneAdil replied to TheAkazs's topic in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
Some have run into this when buying online tickets they have a ticket to France and then have to pick up a ticket there to Moroc then there is a problem u need to be able to get all boarding passes here in the US otherwise u need to leave the security section to go to ticket counter and then it is suspect that a person could stay in France and make sure the luggage is ticketed to final destination of Moroc -

we were called for biometrics within a week we asked what this sentence actually met when at Atlanta office and officer said "it is the immediate 3 months prior to filling the N400 -not if person had be here for 3 months before that it should say Immediate 3 months as that's what we were told it meant they will check passport stamps when the interview happens https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-d-chapter-6#:~:text=In general%2C an applicant for, three months prior to filing. If the applicant returns to the same residence, he or she will have complied with the three-month jurisdictional residence requirement when at least three months have elapsed, including any part of the absence, from when the applicant first established that residence. If a person gets AP and then leaves the US /they still have to follow CBP rules every time they cross the border to return if a person has AP but is found with drugs or having used drugs while outside the US, then the person would be inadmissible any countraband, money laundering, etc would make an alien inadmissible

You need to meet poverty guidelines to do sponsorship 100% if K1 fiancee 125% if spouse visa poverty guidelines now have 100% at $19720 for family of 2 and $24650 for 125% u may need a 2nd job to afford to travel to meet and to petition for her and u may have to meet more than once to satisfy immigration (most of us with an African spouse had to spend quality time together) total cost of K1 is higher than CR1 and going higher as USCIS has asked for increases in the process to adjust status after marrying in US (from $1225 to $2820) And trust me we are happy for u and the prospect that you have found the right person and wish u the very best but u need to meet u need to know the cost to travel to meet , to possible marry (here or there) the cost to apply and sponsor the timetable for visa (looking at a possible 2 years from application to interview ) also hit the word portal above and read posts about other Kenya immigrants and understand embassy specific requirements and experiences of others and really really i hope u 2 can find a way and be happy together

JeanneAdil replied to Em25's topic in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
U can hit the word portal above and check the lists on the side to see scheduled interviews for Moroc most here are not keeping up with profile timelines but a VJ member recently said hers moved in 2 months from dq to interview read embassy reviews and previous posts in Moroc -
Can I reschedule my DV lottery interview? If you are not able to attend the interview on the scheduled date, then you should have to reschedule the interview. To reschedule the interview, you must contact the US embassy or consulate.Feb 7, 2023 If u just plain "do not attend" its as the former statement and this is for a green card so the embassy has to follow USCIS guidelines What happens if I miss my green card interview? If an individual requests an interview to be rescheduled or fails to appear for a scheduled interview, USCIS field offices are directed to implement immediately the procedures outlined in the “Field Guidance” section of this memorandum and either reschedule the interview or deny the related application or petition ..
