  1. doubtful , dec 2024 is only 18 months away / most petitions are taking 2 years to interview/ hopefully it will go faster if either gets to USA as LPR , he/she can petition for 1 son over 21 if the son remains unmarried https://www.uscis.gov/family/family-of-green-card-holders-permanent-residents When petitioning for your relative, the following preference categories apply: First preference: Unmarried, adult sons and daughters of U.S. citizens. (Adult means 21 or older) A visa becomes available to a preference category according to the priority date (the date the I-130 was properly filed). For more information on priority dates, see the Visa Availability and Priority Dates page.
  2. https://www.ca4.uscourts.gov/courts4civics/connect/naturalization-ceremonies yes, Federal courts conduct citizenship ceremonies, which are open to the public and may be attended by hundreds and sometimes thousands of people.
  3. doesn't not affect the process but does affect the income needed if female is bene the child would need CBRA if born out of US And know the risks https://www.babycenter.com/getting-pregnant/preparing-for-pregnancy/age-and-fertility-getting-pregnant-in-your-40s_1494699 By age 43, your egg supply is near its end. Your risk of pregnancy complications, such as high blood pressure and gestational diabetes, increases after 35 as well, and continues to rise into your 40s. Miscarriage rates begin to skyrocket in your 40s as well. Best wishes for the 2 of u
  4. detained means jail pulled over for speeding or traffic violation is "pulled over"
  5. OP u , the poster , are the beneficary the USC is the petitioner /sponsor reasons people ask if he is LPR or USC USC have to do I 130 for each child an LRP can do 1 for spouse and children are derivatives of spouse visa The queue for Nigeria is long so u can send email to NVC (state all case #'s including yours , all names and all DOB"s) asking NVC to hold your interview till the kids catch up
  6. no that's a traffic violation not an arrest better warning than a ticket / they cost money and if serious (like dui ) can affect your insurance premium and license (just to let u know the system) but a traffic violation is not an arrest and no time served so not what the question refers to no crime / if it was i would be in trouble myself
  7. pregnancy is not considered a life and death situation Immigration is getting so many requests for expedite that Hacking Law has statements and a video on the subject Check out his site as he is respected here on VJ Can I expedite my case at the National Visa Center? Hi, I'm Jim Hacking, immigration lawyer practicing law throughout the United States out of our office here in St. Louis, Missouri. A lot of people are seeing a lot of delays of their immigration cases, and they believe that if they send in an expedite request, that is to try to get their case moving along faster that the National Visa Center, or even USCIS or the embassy will make their case go faster. In my experience, requests to expedite unless they are the most dire of circumstances, somebody is literally dying, request for expediting are almost always denied. Or in other words, they just go off into the ether and no one ever rules on it, nothing ever happens on the case. So filing a motion to expedite is something that you can do. You can request that the embassy move faster, or the National Visa Center move faster or USCIS move faster. And in the vast majority of cases, this doesn't work. Now, I'm sure there'll be people who will comment down below that say that that does work. And I'm not saying don't do it. I'm just saying, don't get your hopes up. Really, the only thing that works is suing them. And threatening to sue them, that doesn't work, having a Senator or a Congress woman email them or contact them that doesn't work, getting the ombudsman involved or emailing them every day. None of those things work.
  8. If there are major changes in the I 864 and the joint sponsor's, then yes, she needs it hope you can get it to her ontime she needs current income and most recent tax returns (2022)
  9. Be prepared with the I 864 and tax document from the US person the very best to u
  10. Each one takes a separate petition and yes, USC can sponsor all sibling will take 10+ years (file I 130 for each one) K1 follow I 129 instuctions parents need I 130 separate petitions I did not have succesful K1 so when u post on here about the K1 and following AOS , listen to those experts that have gone thru it
  11. look to the following site for needed documents which need to be originals (to be presented at interview) look under pre interview checklist you will see where it says spouse needs original I 864 and IRS documents no need to upload to NVC as the originals should be in India or on the way there https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/BMB-Mumbai.html#pre_interview_checklist
  12. give them time Nigeria is full of people already scheduled months in advance they will fit u in and tell u to take the medical exam with all other instructions as soon as they can
  13. both go thru the same process and timeframes (per US office handling the case) but an African goes thru extra scrutiny (perhaps long AP for extra security checks) to verify all documents are valid and the marriage is bona fida. fortunately, Morocco keeps good records in Rabat and is not known for fraud documents What is important for the visa is the amount of time spent together and downside is any red flags like big age difference red flag issues are best shown on the following site by Nolo Law https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/red-flags-that-make-uscis-suspect-marriage-fraud.html Allah yekbel
  14. you still have to wait for embassy to receive the case and make the appointment meanwhile make sure u have all the original documents needed for interview
  15. CBRA Citizenship from outside the US in this case not possible as he stated never lived here/ USC would have to file I 130 and understand she/ he needs to have filed IRS tax returns , have US residency and have US income to support the petition(s) For birth on or after November 14, 1986, the U.S. citizen parent must have been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for five years prior to the person's birth, at least two of which were after the age of 14.May 11, 2023 https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/travel-legal-considerations/us-citizenship/Acquisition-US-Citizenship-Child-Born-Abroad.html#:~:text=For%20birth%20on%20or%20after,after%20the%20age%20of%2014.

  18. https://www.uscis.gov/military/citizenship-for-military-family-members Aug 8, 2022 — Spouses of U.S. service members may be eligible for expedited naturalization outside the United States.
  19. Example google writes his name Mahmoud in Arabic as محمود
  20. for the petition, go to google translate, write the name in English, hit translate to Arabic , cut and paste the Arabic to the line when a document in Arabic needs English translation, get one and submit both the Arabic and English documents (best for high fraud countries to have a certified translator)
  21. it's not Fed Ex /its stated on USCIS rules https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-1-part-b-chapter-6 USCIS does not accept paper-based applications or petitions on Saturdays, Sundays, or federal holidays.[28]

  23. Even if the CO could accept possibility of SS income for the children there is a family max of $2682 times 12 is $32,184 and below the 125% needed for family of 4 which is $37500 https://www.ssa.gov/oact/cola/familymax.html#:~:text=The formula sums four separate,of the family-maximum formula. The formula sums four separate percentages of portions of the worker's PIA. For 2023 these portions are the first $1,425, the amount between $1,425 and $2,056, the amount between $2,056 and $2,682, and the amount over $2,682. These dollar amounts are the "bend points" of the family-maximum formula.
