  1. If they are maniptulating numbers in this way, it is to impress Congress that they are "doing a better job " and u 'all need to write Congressman/woman and let them know the real situation as the info USCIS is just a ruse to satisfy Congress and "look good" and to those of u that know the truth , USCIS doesn't "look good" https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/news-releases/uscis-releases-new-data-on-effective-reduction-of-backlogs-support-for-humanitarian-missions-and WASHINGTON – Today, USCIS released its Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 progress report (PDF, 1.08 MB) with new information demonstrating how it reduced backlogs in certain programs and supported humanitarian missions.
  2. next page says petitioner has 30 days from date of notice to respond to the issues with original legible copies of documents front and back originals will not be returned i got private message of this page OP its going to be hard almost impossible to respond to these issues as u moved too fast to marry but good luck
  3. Married under Islamic law? was there a marriage cerebration the day after signing the document of marriage? did USC enclose any photos of her with Egyptian family ? u decided to marry before meeting in person so did u do the marriage on her first trip to Cairo? how many times did u and spouse meet after the marraige? how much time spent together in all? the USC needs to respond to this NOIR with actual proof to each issue the one issue of staged photos will be the hardest to overcome seeing the CO did not declare a bona fida marriage, it may be best to spend more quality time together to show real relationship and refile the I 130 along with a letter addressing these issues you also need to start commingling finances to help make a stronger case' get a POA from the Egyptian and add him to tax returns following IRS site for nonresident alien spouse https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/nonresident-spouse after getting the ITIN add him to bank account (he can not have a debit card till arrives in US), add him to a utility bill, each of u make a will in favor of the spouse Be ready to prove all of the above
  4. My thoughts too Is he married and u r his second wife? my husband is Muslim that question was not asked at interview but if there is a previous marriage with no divorce papers, the CO will give a 221g for official divorce court papers and if he wants to keep married to another woman, visa will be denied and how did he answer that question?
  5. 3 different sources in the immigration office is what she said and they didn't have her surrender the green card? and so many here write that the embassy doesn't answer the phones or emails except genertic replies

  10. some of us don't change our last name, so ask her which one she intends to use for the future she will be just starting out in the US so not a big deal to change name but for me , it was too much work to change it
  11. old passport is ok take the new passport to interview ./plenty of time to update passport while you go thru the process the I 130 will tell u to list all names used (or precviously used)
  12. marry this year (Utah zoom or in fiancee country) file 2023 taxes as married by iRS site instructions/check the site below out before your trip to meet as there is info needed from the new spouse to file the W7 and do yourself a favor and get a POA from her https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/nonresident-spouse Cost to file K1 plus AOS after US marriage is expected to go up in 2023 AOS is to get the green card and advance parole (to travel) K1 from $535 to $720 AOS from $1225 to #2820 Depending on the country a K1 can be denied and the F1 is no loner valid as the person is no longer studying here
  13. the buzz words seem to be DOS's way to not really say anything Reading that whole article and what Rep Tiffany has proposed to Congress looks like the same ole same ole Democrat vs Republican boarder protection/ illegal immigration battle some congress members call it South American parole not even knowing a couple of these countries are not in SA but 20th of april this article appeared so Congress is at odds https://tiffany.house.gov/media/press-releases/rep-tiffanys-parole-reform-legislation-passes-out-judiciary-committee#:~:text=The Immigration Parole Reform Act of 2023%2C which Tiffany introduced, abuse of immigration parole power.
  14. i would ask to be excused too but i would not send a copy of green card in the mail / i don't trust the mail
  15. https://www.state.gov/u-s-government-announces-sweeping-new-actions-to-manage-regional-migration/ April 27,2023 announcement says DOS will consider parole for already approved family-based petitions New Family Reunification Parole Processes. DHS is creating new family reunification parole processes for El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Colombia. The agency is also modernizing existing family reunification parole processes for Cuba and Haiti. These processes, once finalized, will allow vetted individuals with already approved family-based petitions to be paroled into the United States, on a case-by-case basis. The U.S. Government will deliver timely and efficient authorization for those approved and vetted to travel. Individuals paroled into the U.S. under these processes would be eligible to apply for work authorization. I was trying to listen to 1PM press conference to hear about parole but Principal Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel did not mention it
  16. I would report to the summons on the date u r suppose to and show your green card California has scam alerts for court duty and sending copy of green card is a bit scary
  17. you can renew the expired passport within 6 months of the expiration (Tunisia rules) and u do not get to keep it, so copy the profile page and turkey entry and exit stamps . this would have to be along with entry and exit stamps from the USC to show the 2 of u were there at the same time https://www.tunisianembassy.org/passport-services The Expired original Passport must be sent along with the application, otherwise it will be considered a lost Passport Application. u are so close now to the case going to NVC and to be able to schedule the interview so get it renewed fast And expect an extended AP after interview to review your travel allah yekbel
  18. Because this time is called AP (administrative processing) either to create the visa and attach to the passport OR to review the petition and documents for extra security its just the time space time from interview to visa -if approved
  19. Tell the green card woman not to naturalize till the process is ove if she natualizes the visa type changes and Nolo law says:: https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/how-naturalization-affects-your-child-s-application-for-a-u-s-green-card.html and also discussed on immigration site https://fam.state.gov/fam/09FAM/09FAM050201.html If your child is over the age of 21 (thus called a "son or daughter" in legal lingo), and already has an application in the F2B category, naturalizing might automatically put the child into category "F1," for unmarried sons and daughters of U.S. citizens over the age of 21. That could present a problem. There has been more demand for F1 immigrant visas in recent years than for F2B visas, with the result that the waitlist tends to move slowly (though this could change). The difference can be several years' worth. So, by naturalizing, the petitioner could seriously delay the child's application for a U.S. green card. 20. whoever imputs data is poor at the job the case status during this time should say "Refused" so don't be surprised if that is the next update post u see all embassies are now using the term refused while the case goes thru administrative processing
  21. in the US we have a sayin "the right hand does not tell the left hand what it is doing" SS will not tell State DMV anything there is no need to do that and no requirement
  22. you will have to rely on whoever provided the income requirements for the IR1 visa to help get u started come back with the purchased flight tickets and look for work-lots of jobs here u have the green card and u can come now -don't wait to hear about a job while out of the US/most employers will hire someone here u can take any job - any job at all while u look for the one u want and everywhere i travel to there are signs "help wanted" check out clerks waitress sales people station attendants factory workers
  23. unless ur state issued a restricted DL, u don't have to do anything to show u r now a USC it would say resticted on the DL itself this use to be done for foreign students but i believe all states quit that process
  24. If your visa is issued the expiration date is 6 months from medical exam means u could have to repeat the medical
