  1. Refused is not denied it is the status till a decision to approve or deny is made I would imagine the form u were told to fill out was the ds 5535 an extensive security check will be done now and may take weeks , months or as long as a year all u can do now is wait for the process to complete it is a good thing they kept the passport
  2. Don't forget the passport photos mine were done up the USPS office itself , but I went to the main one as not all offices do the photos
  3. Hard for me to understand some decisions of CO's MIL applied for B1/B2 when Adil was green card holder and was denied /at that point , he could not have done AOS for her to stay BTW I was in Moroc at the time to bring her to US if she got the visa and saw written paper they gave her to deny which was dated the day before the interview/not a 22l1g but a written letter English on one side and Arabic on the other Then when he became a citizen, they approved her no changes in her circumstances
  4. Trying to get her to understand may bring on one of her symptoms / she may think u are going to abandon her The hard road you could take would be to go to the family fully loaded with your understanding of her symptoms and the word "enable" explain they are not helping her if they continue to enable . Yes, this can cause bad feelings with the family but u r a dr and have had to explain difficult diagnose i am sure. The following symptoms make it almost impossible for her to understand herself especially the "shifting self-image" you need their help in this matter. The 9 symptoms of BPD Fear of abandonment. People with BPD are often terrified of being abandoned or left alone. ... Unstable relationships. ... Unclear or shifting self-image. ... Impulsive, self-destructive behaviors. ... Self-harm. ... Extreme emotional swings. ... Chronic feelings of emptiness. ... Explosive anger.
  5. Its hard for families to "come clean" when most do not understand the situation themselves and may feel they are "to blame" they become enablers Not only will she need to disclose the mental health issues but be on a control plan of medications and therapy / u know this already and CO should not approve a visa for someone who is a harm to themself or others this is a hard road to travel and i wish u the best get help for her - in Canada insist on it
  6. then after u are dq"d by NVC, you wait for the embassy to notify NVC that your case can be scheduled
  7. What type of visa? What country (for the best answers)?
  8. my Thoughts too but for the embassy interview , they will accept the back statement and a letter from IRS that no tax returns have been filed he can get that by filing out a 4506-T Mail or fax the completed IRS Form 4506-T to the address (or FAX number) provided on page 2 of Form 4506-T. If the 4506-T information is successfully validated, tax filers can expect to receive a paper IRS Verification of Non-filing Letter at the address provided on their request within 5 to 10 days. He's also going to have to prove US residency
  9. sounds like they have suspicions of money laudering or a heat sensor camera or this with the new outbreak of covid and so many staff illneses , Gatwick international has limited its services to 800 flights in and out a day so the covid scare is on Screened by staff as they board the plane, temperatures are quickly and accurately measured via handheld infrared thermometers or mounted infrared cameras. All airlines are different, but standard practice is that individuals registering a temperature higher than 100.4 would not be permitted to enter the plane.
  10. did u use Global entry and they were checking ID? As CBP says First, unlike entry, the ports were not designed to control the exit of individuals, nor does CBP (or the Federal government) own the airports. The nation’s airports are privately owned and were not designed or built to control exit. Accordingly, there are no Federal inspection areas through which travelers must depart from the United States and no “controlled” space from which travelers must depart or face re-inspection from a CBP officer https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/assets/documents/2018-Jan/fieldops-entry-exit-fact-sheet-201404.pdf
  11. My other thought is step 1 attend a local community college (tuition is low) and take all the science courses they offer helps to know Latin for medical degree AS degree 60 credits Step 2 transfer to 4 year college for degree in Biology BS degree 120 credits work hard at this and the above stage to get a scholarship then Step 3 apply to accredited medical college (take out a loan if u have to) the very best to u GO FOR IT
  12. i applaud you for wanting to enter a long term of hard study and workload Have u talked to a counselor at a medical college for the best possible advice? there may be ways for u to study here understand 2 things The US does not recognize post-graduate medical training from any country except Canada. The US and Canada have similar medical training and licensing systems. You will need to repeat your residency and fellowship training. First, you will need to register with ECFMG. And A Postgraduate Training License is issued to an individual who has graduated from an approved medical school, passed all required examinations, has not received either a minimum of 12-months credit (for U.S. or Canadian medical school graduates) or 24-months credit (for international medical school graduates) So a degree from any county other than Canada means 24 more months of study in the US (expensive) and then acceptance into a residency program you may want to read this US New article on how to attend free and believe it or not but international students have access to more scholarships and grants than a USC https://www.usnews.com/education/best-graduate-schools/top-medical-schools/articles/2017-07-13/how-to-attend-medical-school-for-free
  13. To notify NVC, u will need the case # they are about to assign u (by embassy initials) then u can send a letter (email) to both NVC and embassy I suggest a notary signature so the embassy knows u r the one doing it How to Cancel K 1 visa? A. You should make a written request to the Embassy asking to withdraw the petition. You may wish to notarize such a statement so USCIS can be assured that you personally are asking the petition to be withdrawn.
  14. aren't engagement and bachelorette parties normal in UK as they are in US? The countries we have seen that cause these parties to appear as marriage are high fraud countries where certain code of dress and ceremonial steps are done ( henna in Moroc for 1 ;; dressing in look alike clothes in Nigeria) ring exchange i would stay away from
  15. I realize that but u fill it out as the instructions say 1 surname and 2 given name
  16. country dependent I was given a bachelorette party by his family and friends no men were there so it could in no way be called a marriage celebration But look to the norms for your foreign and embassy
  17. Part I of bene's ds 160 question 1 surname question 2 given name
  18. marriage green card would have been the I 130 spouse visa u are doing AOS after marriage on a K1 and this is a much longer process
  19. that is the form u will use (much later in the process-the NVC stage, u will do the I 864) study guides above will help u with the process if u do not file tax returns , request a letter from IRS to say "no tax returns filed" Download IRS Form 4506-T. Complete lines 1 – 4, following the instructions on page 2 of the form. Line 3: enter the non-filer's street address and zip or postal code. ... Line 5 provides non-filers with the option to have their IRS Verification of Non-filing Letter mailed directly to a third party by the IRS.
  20. Filing the tax forms -just follow the IRS site for MFJ or MFS on the IRS site for non resident alien spouse Tax treaty with UK so no taxes owed keep a paper copy of the 1040 and all documents u provide as u probably will not have the IRS transcripts in time https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/nonresident-spouse At this point the IRS will not be fast to process forms as IRS says https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-operations-status-of-mission-critical-functions#:~:text=We're processing tax returns,we continue to experience delays. We're processing tax returns, payments, refunds and correspondence. However, we continue to experience delays. We are working hard to get through the inventory. the following IRS site has all the information u need on foreign income including the 2555 form for the exclusion https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/frequently-asked-questions-about-international-individual-tax-matters#:~:text=Do I still need to,or foreign income tax credits.
  21. u need to file ASAP as u r out of status without the receipt for the AOS
  22. the chances of even getting a tourist visa with a I 130 in the system would be slim and if granted, u would more than likely be turned back by CBP as your I 130 shows immigrant intent It is best to have the USC visit as much as possible to strengthen your spouse visa request If this was legal and possible, we would all have done it, but its not
  23. Until u receive the Ghana case # from NVC, u need to wait for that ACC # ; then send the email include the new # ,both names and both DOB's
