  1. no, u r free look up income tax requirements between the 2 countries
  2. Without knowing education of both and work experience that would be a big factor does the UK education allow for a decent job in US? what are the work prospects for the USC? Live with US family is hard unless the UK can contribute to the household income 21 and 22 if go with CR1, use this time to gain experience and /or more education especially since u started dating at 16 and 17
  3. work / go to college have children and start a family any of those
  4. after the ds 160 is fillled out online, u schedule the interview Scheduling an appointment online Choose “Immigrant Visa”, then click “Continue”. Choose “K1 Visas – Appointment Scheduling/Rescheduling and Fee payment”, then click “Continue”. Select “K1 – Fiance or Fiancee of U.S. Citizen”, then click “Continue”. Fill in all the required fields, then click “Continue”.
  5. Agreement is with USA government If he signs up for public "charge " benefits, you could be required to pay the money back to government / haven't heard anyone that had to do it as seems the government doesn't follow thru but the rule is there so don't test it Encourage him to go for naturalization when he is eligible as that takes u off the hook I do know USC's who have divorced in Moroc/ Benefits? just faster and cheaper and Moroccan man has to confirm the dowry is paid off Divorces registered in Rabat are recognied in US same as Moroccan marriages
  6. Basically the Moroccan knows but Casa doesn't say or give out a paper explanation / been this way since we tried in 2009
  7. Forget the horror stories If u have quality time spent together and he knows u well Things the CO may ask 1/ kids names 2/ ages of kids 3/ when u were together last 4/ how did marriage end and when 5/ does he plan to have children with u and if so, will they learn about Islam Muslim man can marry Christian or Jewish girl in Moroc so not as big an issue as some other countries Approval K1's visas in Casa go up and down 23 in April 9 in May 25 in June 7 in July Why? could be less K1 interviews as they have to concentrate on student visas and dv lottery and the thouusands of tourist visas approved stats can be found https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics.html look under NIV for K1 and go to post and class
  8. As i said a medical is not for immigration (not medical for visa as u need that closer to interview) but to know if the person needs medical care to get a visa. We had a member who found out they had a TB and needed treatment when going to medical and they waited months in AP while getting treatment and new medical clearance and interview when a medical aforehand could have prevented this. and getting a ITIN takes longer so i say do 2023 taxes ASAP so those tax returns are done The above items are precautions / can't speed up the USCIS or NVC steps but can prevent people from waiting for IRS to complete returns ,etc
  9. Beneficary always has to take original birth certificate to interview If not done, then yes, you need to get the proof as directed They did not deny visa just put into AP for documents
  10. Has the Moroccan completed the ds 160 so you can schedule interview? Please complete a timeline so we can look at it to know answers to questions like the above and give u more concrete answers
  11. One of the things i noticed is people wait for the medical exam and then find out there is a spot on lungs which needs treatment taking the case into AP and further testing It wouldn't hurt to get a medical done now so u know if there is a treatable condition (not medical for visa as u need that closer to interview) Get the 2023 tax returns done ASAP so you are not waiting on IRS especially if the case is spouse visa and u intend to file MFJ to get ITIN\ During next few months check cost to add her to health care insurance or puchase a plan plus a supplemental / so u aren't blindsided Biggest thing really is Have patience ' don't think daily about immigration and keep each other encouraged Check the total cost of the visa thru to the 10 year green card
  12. you need to take care of tax debt and finding a job/ i can see from what u write why she is stressed Trying to expedite the visa will not help your situation and more than likely get her denied at interview U need a job and a plan to support her which includes health care insurance
  13. Who is a dependent I-134? For "Dependents Information," anyone whom the sponsor has listed on his or her tax returns should be entered. This could be a parent living with u if u support them 6 months or more
  14. i am the one with the 4 page RFE and 25 pound response Lawyer said it would take months for USCIS to go thru the documents in 2 days they sent all on to NVC/ they didn't have time to read any of it
  15. I see you are from Pakistan and that usually means long AP while the embassy does extended AP for security checks u say "again put me in AP" was this 2nd interview for spouse visa? or a different visa?
  16. Plus , she can not come to work (care for the wife or new baby) on a tourist visa
  17. you could fly 1st into Canada for the US inspection and then on to US to avoid issues https://www.cbp.gov/travel/preclearance look under Canada and CNN reported 9 minutes ago that the Senate proposed a bill but House did not approve it https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/government-shutdown-deadline-09-29-23/index.html Transportation Security Administration agents, like air traffic controllers, are considered essential and will continue working during a government shutdown, so TSA screenings should proceed as normal.
  18. what embassy? some pay the DS160 fee at the interview /others pay prior at designated locations
  19. Only time i saw an emergency B1/B2 visa (back when i was taking my son to Jacksonville florida at Mayo Clinic-they flew a child in for emergency heart surgery and it was reported by local news media) B1/B2 in this case was arranged between doctors. International Patient Services. Every year, patients from more than 150 countries travel to Mayo Clinic for care. International patients Bringing your wife here to expose her to your covid sounds not only manipulative but crazy. Nothing u can do about the Canadian citizen part of all this I think a consulatation with a lawyer is desperately needed as u will find out its very difficult to get a divorce when the other person is mentally ill in most US states if this is the way things will conclude I am not saying "get a divorce" but u need to know EVERYTHING and have all the facts and what u face and will face in the future Good luck i am sure u have all the prayers from this community
  20. Yes, triggered by a Mroccan who was married in US and then married again in Moroc and applied for CBRA for his child Never divorced USC Security check on him did catch up i suspect the notice said "ALL" previous marriage certificates to check dates and compare with divorce papers
  21. You have gotten a pile of good information above and u need to use any of it that u feel will help u As far as an immigration case goes, married and only spending 2 to 3 weeks together is a weak case and how could she pass a interview and know all about u, if she does not know about herself? U say she is not telling u the truth, in all honesty ,, she doesn't know and understand the truth she's not lying, she's sick
