  3. Congressman can inquire about your case only the answer would be same answer u already know "Case is dq at NVC stage and is in queue waiting the interview to be scheduled "
  4. Does she have legal residence in Egypt or Thailand? That is the requirement to ask the embassy to accept your case
  5. Marriage visa is superior in many ways mostly lets him work , get DL and SS number easier but u are almost to interview so , do not let this dishearten u CR1 do wait longer at NVC for interview as there are documents to be checked at that stage but u should hear in less time Have u checked the word portal that takes u to Moroc site and looked at timelines of others going thru the K1 process / there is a list on the right of approved and those scheduled for interview
  6. the children need to be listed as stepchildren on the ds 260 The USC may not claim them due to his divorce agreement where that agreement will be seen and divorce papers have to be included at NVC and embassy and he pays child support for 2 of them so they are part of his household the older child may be part of household if he lives with his father and is supported by him even if not underage
  7. you can only adjust status thru current husband or with a divorce and a divorce waiver finding a new husband while still married does not look good i would suggest going a little slower i am not judging just looking at this from the eyes of immigration hope u can be happy perhaps get a consult with a good immigration lawyer
  8. yeah, we have to stick to question asked by poster and create a new post to ask a different one don't worry about it u r new
  9. she should not bring paperwork like a resume , that make it look like there is intent to stay as that alerts CBP Look at your state requirements to marry and don't even bring a birth certificate unless it is needed to get married Marry here if granted the tourist visa and she returns home after your honeymoon/ don't misuse the tourist visa and try to AOS as this reuins it for others that follow the very best to u both
  10. your mom's case took long as u had issues getting documents for birth, etc from your country that's not the fault of USCIS sorry, but hope the remainder of the process is short and comes to good conculsion
  11. USCIS Does say https://www.uscis.gov/i-864#:~:text=A copy of your individual, other evidence of reported income. 12. the term u inquired about means case is sent to embassy
  13. u can drive yourself nuts checking mail everyday /i did it too but gotta agree on "Who does the interview" part we were finally approved when done by USC man but then i had commingled assets and done a lot to prepare Again, i say, prepare the Moroccan letting the Moroccan know everything there is to know about u if ever married, the person should know how marriage ended ? death or divorce? and the date if there are children , person should know names and ages Moroccan should know they will be unable to work till EAD is done but have a plan for life in the US -like work or study and USC should know the red flag isssues and be prepared to deal with them Nolo law has a good list https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/red-flags-that-make-uscis-suspect-marriage-fraud.html Casa can be a difficult embassy but when a couple have spent quality time together and the relationship has proven strong , K1 can be approved Keep each other encouraged and quit worrying daily about immigration this is time to date -even if long distance
  14. chokran timelines and embassy reviews and especially the bad are very useful and needed you'll be ok if no red flag issues (like mine -big age difference) if u are well prepared
  15. It is but its Casa / we scheduled ours in 2009 but upon inquiry they changed in October for the 2010 season /it is said due to more extended AP and fraud keeping them occupied At the same time, serious fraud problems have slowed down processing for everyone. Due to these issues, most K-1/K3 applicants must wait several months to be scheduled for an interview after the Consulate receives their petition. https://ma.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/faq/
  16. BTW we get our info thru timelines of other Moroccans and you can check those by hitting the word portal above SO, PLEASE FILL OUT YOUR TIMELINE TO HELP OTHERS
  17. you will not receive a notice that the RFE was approved a new RFE could be issued OR you will find the RFE response has been accepted when the case NOA2 is sent to NVC It is best not to think USCIS, NVC or the embassy will post Updates or up (dates) or usable info in any timely manner
  18. Please note that once a K visa petition is approved by USCIS, the file will be sent to the U.S. Consulate in Casablanca and we will contact the beneficiary of the petition directly to schedule an interview date. https://ma.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/#:~:text=Please note that once a,to schedule an interview date. it is better to prepare well for the interview and concentrate on the needed original documents needed for the interview with the English translations /to many go to interview and are put into Long AP while casa waits for needed items (and they do not hurry to review these when finally are received) all documents are listed on the below site https://ma.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/#:~:text=Documents Required for the Visa Interview&text=%24265 paid in cash at,-Remarriage certificate %26 English translation.&text=The beneficiary of the K,page of DS-160 submission.
