  1. part 2 first question of security and background says Have you ever been arrested or convicted for any offense or crime.......... so its , yes you also will be disclosing the name of person u will visit so, its fairly obivious its a gf Under US point of contact and you will be answering the section of previous spouse including her nationality under Family information -former spouse
  2. i said 90 day total as i had my notices from immigration were specific one said 30 days, another said 30 business days they seem to be specific so, if it says 90 days , don't assume 90 business days
  3. first this is strange notice but if USCIS says 90 days (like they do to marry on a k1) its 90 days including weekends it may be to return to set up interview date (who knows?) but be prepared to take the test
  4. start studying for the civics test and within 90 days , take the paper that says to come back and return to the office (copy it for your records)
  5. US embassy Nigeria says: Download Packet Four (PDF 234KB) or the preparatory packet for K1/K3 visas (PDF239KB) form. https://ng.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visas-processing-in-lagos/ ignore the ds 260 part as that is for spouse visa / u will do ds 160
  6. any Senator (senator's aide) or Representative after u sign the letter for them to inquire , can they will get same info u have already "case is taken longer than normal processing times"
  7. I will guess the person doing the interview was Egyptian national and Because of the age difference and your past marriage and divorce, the CO is making this process hard The 221g says AP so you need to take some photos of this trip plus copy of this boarding pass and submit those to the embassy (case #, both your names and DOB's on evidence you supply and don't' send the original boarding pass-as u may need it for future proofs) allow this AP to play out as heartbreaking as it will be the CO may have to approve this petition with all the evidence u have given just don't give up as that is the ultimate goal of the CO -to make it so rough the USC gives up (I have met many who do) A CO can find any small piece of evidence to deny the petition but the real issue would be big age difference and your divorce in our case she said Adil did not know what books i read but i fought a NOID and my husband is here so, the best to u and if , for any reason , you get a NOIR Or NOID, message me personally and i will tell u what i did
  8. I was also chaperoned when i met Adil (even though Morocco is not as strict as middle east) everywhere we traveled family went with us we stayed in apartments in several cities the month of June 2009 before 2010 marriage and 2 to 6 family would take the bus with us and stay in apartment with us In Morocco it isn't so much the religion but for the reputation of the family after marriage we had to take marriage certificate to rent or stay in hotels until very recently Morocco women did not learn English or use internet as internet was thru cyber cafes only so the men married foreigners but wome n did not now there is more WIFI in homes (in Moroc) so things are changing in that part of the muslim world but middle east is so different USCIS seems to dwell on "bona fida" relationships so how does a person prove this if they can not meet ? we get very little news out of Yemen but as late as 2016 a woman was given the punishment of stoning to death so i wonder how the OP can overcome this with just a letter OP u need the permission of the family and perhaps the religious authority to marry i would go for that and travel and marry and for your sake, protect yourself while there as the October 2022 state department warnings say Do not travel to Yemen due to terrorism, civil unrest, health risks, kidnapping, armed conflict, and landmines. Actually i would send that page to show u can't meet if u continue with K1 https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/yemen-travel-advisory.html https://sports.yahoo.com/news/al-qaeda-yemen-stones-woman-death-adultery-135922487.html A bona fide relationship is one where both parties share a true and genuine romantic connection. When you're applying for a marriage green card, you need to prove to the U.S. government that you and your spouse share genuine romantic affection and that your marriage is real and not a sham for immigration purposes.Apr 28, 2022
  9. forms on internet to write up your own quick claim deed (state dependent) do a POA from her (also internet forms) to record the quick claim at county clerk's office but adding her to your mortgage means u would have to refiance and pay closing costs again i added my husband when he was still in his home country
  10. wait times for nigeria tourist visa interview are below Lagos Nonimmigrant Visa Type Appointment Wait Time Interview Required Visitors (B1/B2) 539 Calendar Days
  11. not only for immigration but for your records we got as many as Rabat in Morocco would allow us to have /BTW we also got as many birth certificates for the intending immigrant for the same reasons SS office studying in the US ROC naturalization and any further petitions like for additional family members US passport
  12. i would say marry while there and start CR1/ give up the K1 then return to the US for diagnosis and treatment for back / to put it bluntly nerves control your bathroom issues too proper diagnosis from a US dr might get u that expedite also apply for SSI and find a joint sponsor as SSI will not be approved in time for interview but travel by boat as a flight would be miserable / u can't tie up a plane's bathroom with your issues and during takeoff and landing,, you can't be in one
  13. i would enclose copy of the defense contract your husband has it may require paper petition to do this but from what i gather , its as fast as online petition read thru the following USCIS site for 319 b submission and decide, then, if u want to spend money for a lawyer or r prepared to DIY https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-g-chapter-4
  14. Out of the country with husband who is working as defense contractor? makes a difference
  15. u list all former names issued and/or used by u on the petition and as TBone Tx said "with proper documents showing the change "no issue" BTW "someone said" is not official /follow USCIS guidelines
  16. by march to travel , u have plenty of time now to get that state ID don't wait for the passport office to possibly send the whole application back / its not up to the USPS officer
  17. doesn't apply to those who filed for naturialation before the 12th of December /just those that file after
  18. congressmen can not help your case get expedited / they can inquire about cases and get same info u get but they can not help or interfere in cases that info i got from my senator when i asked for help Read this from one Senator's office https://www.feinstein.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/tips-for-submitting-casework#:~:text=U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services&text=The senator's staff will be,for at least one year. The senator’s staff will be happy to assist you in following up on the status of your pending name check if your case has been pending with the FBI for at least one year.
  19. our K1 denied in 2009 and understand why u think u will hear from USICS but i never did The 221 g he got at the interview tells u why the case was denied probably says "not eligible for a visa at this time" which basically means u have not proven the relationship is bona fida by spending quality time toether BTW your fiancee does know why denied from questions the CO asked marry and gather all evidence of time spent together and file CR1 spend more time together copy all documents u send to immigration and save them for reference for any RFE or later for any immigration process u may go thru in your case it didn't go into AP for extended security checks for the Pakistan bene so expect a longr AP for CR1 get ready for a 2-3 year wait after u petition for spouse senator or rep has no power over immigration cases /what u get when u sign a form for Senator to look into a case is the same info u already know (case returned to USCIS)
  20. You can bring an interpreter if you are exempt from the English requirements (which means you are allowed to use your native language at the interview). Your interpreter can be a member of your family or a friend, but you have to let USCIS know in advance who you are bringing. USCIS may accept your interpreter or provide you with a different one. /uscitizenshipsupport.com/us-citizenship-test-tips/us-citizenship-test-people-bring/#:~:text=You%20can%20bring%20an%20interpreter,advance%20who%20y
  21. NVC is not in charge of the schedule of K1 visa interview for Moroc your fiancee will need to handle this Please note that once a K visa petition is approved by USCIS, the file will be sent to the U.S. Consulate in Casablanca and we will contact the beneficiary of the petition directly to schedule an interview date. https://ma.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/
  22. Is the child part of parent's tourist visa application? The only time a child under age 14 must attend the interview is if he or she is the only applicant on the petition. A child under the age of 14 does not need to be present at the interview if they are included in the same petition as their parents.Sep 12, 2022 Either way u will know when the interview happens
  23. if u read the IRS site i gave u it is for nonresident alien spouse to be added to tax returns u are married now and must file as married i suggest to start the commingling u do MFJ and do the W7 for his ITIN joint tax returns are the beginining of showing joint assets FYI i added my husband to 2010 year we married and did it each year after with his ITIN till he came in 2015 and got a SS # with his ITIN from IRS and a POA from him , i was able to add him to my checking account and water bill and do a quick claim deed to add his name that's about as much commingling a USC can do to show assets / adding someone to credit card is commingling debts but not assets it does take longer for tax returns to be processed but its taking long for all tax returns to be processed since covid
