  1. We married and thankfully went thru the spouse and got the IR1 in 2015 he's a citizen
  2. follow the guides from IRS and decide not sure why u would not do MFJ especially when it comes to spouse filing later for naturalization and should be on tax returns https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/nonresident-alien-figuring-your-tax
  3. the following site has red flag issues that may cause denial of a visa https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/red-flags-that-make-uscis-suspect-marriage-fraud.html We were denied a K1 (it would have been for large age difference but was not stated on the 221)
  4. The average cost of raw materials — including the cobalt, nickel, and lithium needed to make EV batteries — is now around $8,255 per vehicle, the research said. The average cost of raw materials — including the cobalt, nickel, and lithium needed to make EV batteries — is now around $8,255 per vehicle, the research said. And fossil fuels are still the highest source for fuel for electric plants (61 %) according to government https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=427&t=3
  5. they may not but can u count on that? Did the religious ceremony require license to marry? usually this issue of "too married for K1" comes up in high fraud countries but why not register the marriage as CR 1 is cheaper with several more benefits like: getting the SS # getting a US driving license not going thru the AOS and that cost adding the immiggrant to insurance
  6. Living in Canada is out person has to be a legal resident to interview in a country illegal stay in Canada you could not get the needed criminal report / not that u say you would do this and she does not have a Canadian to sponsor her (as my step daughter had a Canadian husband to stay and legalize there) other ways to immigrate to Canada include care giver, Quebec selected skilled workers, etc https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/imm Marry in Turkey and start the CR1 process and my best wishes to u both
  7. Not going to be mid year -more like 2 years from now. if u register the marriage in Canada, apply for spousal visa you can not plan to marry here and she stays as that is immigration fraud K1 - sounds like the religious ceremony makes u too married for a K1 fiancee visa K1 or CR1 u are looking at at least a 2 year wait to have a visa in hand immigration is not fast, not cheap, not easy u can add her to your health care when she is in US as this would be a change in family circumstances (look to see your policy if its 30 or 60 days to change this) even though u don't care about work papers, under a K1 , u have to AOS in the US after marriage and the cost is going up drastically (in March from $1225 to over $2000). she can not stay legally unless u go thru the AOS process
  8. my sons were well over 20 and they had to be listed on the ds 260 by my husband
  9. and this is the reason the USC should get a ITIN and add spouse as non resident alien spouse the year u marry
  10. just get a copy of joint sponsor's profile of US passport or state DL to prove his US residency and send to embassy include your case # and both names and DOB's on the copy page (upper right hand corner is preferred ) u need all pages of the IRS tax transcript
  11. nothing about immigration is normal or fast many Moroccans wait long for the USCIS process but it can be (as another VJ member) points out that its like a line in a grocery store and u got the slow clerk Are u from Moroc yourself? or born USC? Even women in Moroc (if from Fes and the North ) can go thru extended security after the interview / one VJ member waited 10 months after interview for his wife to be approved.
  12. Have u kept a copy of the petitions u filed? always keep copies of all u submit to prove you followed the guides and immigration rules I remember the Space Age posts the member was told their is no time limit but the immigrant is out of status during the time of I 94 expiration and receipt of the AOS petition So they let it go past the 90 days of the I 94 causing their own issues he had good advice , he chose to ignore it BTW the K1 visa expired the day u entered
  13. your misunderstanding (at this point) is that you have rights in the US with US government entity / u don't ICE would care if the USC was scammed but not if u are harassed i will be surprised if your actions don't trigger u to do a ds 5535 they will wonder "how many Americans did u have to talk in search of a green card?" that's harsh but u have shown them u tried with 2 If u are lucky enough to get to the US as an LPR, then u can complain to local police and take out a restraining order / but now -nothing
  14. 2 countries ??? hard to file a police report just ignore and change your email ID she can't harass u if she can not contact u you broke up with her so really break it off completely
  15. plus very expensive to become a permanent resident of Canada needing a Canadian sponsor My step daughter went thru the process when married a Canadian she met while working on cruise ship
  16. print out a couple of her emails that beg u to take her back and the one that threatens u be prepared to show it if necessary then open a new email and delete that one
  17. 1st of all u need to block and delete her from all your social media (Facebook, twitter, email(s), cell phone(s) including your family's phones there is no reason you should have this ex in any of your contacts To me that alone is the part that is suspicious As a matter of fact, u r married , delete all other women (not family)or look for the embassy to make u do a DS 5535 and wait for a long AP
  18. Unfortunately what you already read is all the answer USCIS will give u Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You do not need to take any action at this time. Ours (before all the slowdown) was 10 months in Nebraska and sent to Missouri (letter said for faster processing and that was another 6 months) If u followed the guides and sent what was needed for the spouse visa , it will process Congratulations on the new baby
  19. Mike, it did change When i was in college, we would watch a football game Saturday (August and early September )and head up to Tornato on Sunday to watch baseball. No passport or DL /just our college ID Haven't been able to do that in years/ I was born here and need US passport to get into Canada The real ID can be used in lieu of passport but that is only given when someone has gone thru the process to get the real ID And this OP is going to use green card which is no longer valid as he took the oath
  20. this is the very reason(s) we did not apply for MIL medication costs insurance and daily living help all are very expensive in the US
  21. you will note the date on that is 1964 / we use to be able to go to Mexico and Canada with no passport. that changed by Immigration law U.S.Code 1185 https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/travel-legal-considerations/Advice-about-Possible-Loss-of-US-Nationality-Dual-Nationality/Dual-Nationality.h U.S. nationals, including dual nationals, must use a U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States. Dual nationals may also be required by the foreign country to use its passport to enter and leave that country. Use of the foreign passport to travel to or from a country other than the United States is not inconsistent with U.S. law.
  22. He sends separate petitions in for each one plus the 4 fee(s) Parents will take 2 or more years depending on the embassy and backlogs Siblings will take more than 15 depending on the country and visa availability(s) guides above will give u info he needs to apply for them
