  2. Than something along the lines of .... congratulations your visa has been approved. Everything is okay, you need to send medical report. Which was sent along with passports and received the visas in about 12 days.

This forum has been a great help. Thanks for your support!

    Many Many Congrats!!!!

    Dear Khurram,

Brother i can understand what u going through because i too had faced this experience and i want to tell u an interesting thing that my case was approved i mean i got my NOA2 after 189 days and visa was issued to me after my interview also after 189 days so u can imagine how much i had to wait. I told u before khurram that in my case when my name check was done and it took me exactly two months to get the visa before that whatever u may ask either from embassy or from dos u get the same answer your case is in process. I pray that wife gets her visa soon.

God bless us all and i pray that khurram wife get visa soon and had their reunion soon Ameen.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your prayers and thoughts.

  3. Isn't it you don't receive the DS-157 in packet three when your beneficiaries is a female. Khurram did your wife receive the DS-157 in the packet 3? Also, the form 1-134 what did you send as the support documents? Pick form the list or add/delete. If there is no packet 4, just wondering why you have the date in front of packet 4 in your timeline.

    1-Offer letter from employer

    2-Pay stub

3-Income tax return - Is this needed? if yes how many years?

    4-Bank statement

    Thank you,

She received DS-157 but didn't have to fill it out as it stated in the instructions that came with the forms that "this form is not required for female applicants"

This is what I sent for I-134:

    1. Affidavit Of Support (I-134)

    2. Bank Letter with Bank Statements( Monthly summaries)

    3. Job Letter

    4. Tax Transcripts -2004-2005-2006

    5. 401k Statement

    6. Bank Statement (Monthly detail)

    7. Copy of Tax returns -2004-2005-2006

    8. Pay stubs for the last 3 months

I have Packet 4 listed in my timeline but no packet 3 as there is only one packet sent by the Embassy for K3 and you can choose to call it packet 3 or 4 as the time line on this website didn't have an option for just a K3 packet.

  4. Hi KHURRAM,

Thanks for helping me out and i need little more help that i am sending sponsor and co-sponsor for the adjustment of status on my K-1 VISA so please let me know that sponsor had to fill I-864 incase i am not wrong and what do co-sponsor had to fill the form is it I-864 OR I-864A and is either I-864A just to be signed by co-sponor and to be notarised or only signed by the co-sponsor.

Secondly i want to ask that u told me that the fees of employment authorised is included in adjustment of status $1010 and if i file advance parole too the fees will remain be the same or u had to pay separate fees for advance parole

Looking forward for your kind response

    Affidavit of Support:

The US Spouse is ALWAYS the primary sponsor, but may have a co-sponsor. If there is a co-sponsor, both the

US Spouse and the co-sponsor will EACH have to fill out the affidavit I-864 and EACH will have to provide

    supporting documentation.

You do not need the I-864 to be notarized

    Fees:

If you filed a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, on July 30, 2007, or after, then no fee is required to file a request for advance parole on Form I-131 and/or employment authorization on Form I-765. You may file the I-131 and I-765 concurrently with your I-485, or you may submit the I-131 and/or I-765 at a later date. If you file Form I-131 and/or I-765 separately, you must also submit a copy of the receipt for your Form I-797C, Notice of Action, as evidence of the filing of an I-485.

  5. There is question that in form I-864 i dont see any place to be notarised it just have the sponsor signature so is the form I-864 need to be notarised along with the signature of sponsor and if it is then where it should be notarised because i dont see any place mentioned be notarised. Looking for kind response

    thanks

As you can read from DOS Quote Page 8 of 10

    "Completing the I-864

Is the I-864 and I-864A required to be notarized?

No. The sponsor just has to sign the I-864. You should know however, when the sponsor signs the Form I-864 he/she certifies that the information provided, transcript and/or photocopy of tax documentation is true and correct, under penalty of perjury.."

    http://travel.state.gov/pdf/I-864GenInfo-FAQ-Final.pdf

Yes, you do need to Notarize it.

Any "Notray Public" can nottarize it. You will sign the form in the presence of Notary Public and then he/she will verify its really you by checking your photo ID (driver's license, passport, Green Card, etc). Notary will sign and stamp the form and date it.

You can check with your local bank where you have account (no charge), any lawyer, local UPS Store can also notarize for a fee, less than $10 each verification.

    Good Luck

No it does not need to be notozrized only the I-134 does, for more information please read http://travel.state.gov/pdf/I-864GenInfo-FAQ-Final.pdf

  6. Hello everyone, wanted to post a non-immigration related question ... Anoybody on the forum have information on VoIP services in Pakistan, specifically Islamabad? I want to know if there are any companies offering residential VoIP service in Pakistan? If there are, how reliable are they and how is the quality? I'm currently using Packet 8 to give mother in law a US ph # so that she can stay in touch with my wife. however if I were to get a Pakistani ph #, then that allows us to stay in touch with a lot more people. Any information would be much appreciated ...

    Shahab

I use Get call (http://click2dial.net/getcall.php) which gives me a local number for Pakistan then I forwards it Grand central (http://grandcentral.com) which offers a free hunt group so when someone calls me from Pakistan it is local to them and my home, work and cell phone all ring at the same time and I can pick up the call where I can.

  7. Hi,

  8. I am now in the process of filling out the I-134 (Affidavit of Support). I am stuck on questions #11.

#11. I ?? intend ?? do not intend.......to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3.

Here is a sample for your help

  9. Hi Khurrum,

Thanks brothers for such a explicit information on Adjustment of Status and i be obliged if u tell me what the fees for Employment Authorised Document (EAD). Moreover i pray for your wife that she get visa soon and be with u, brother my name check was completed end of july and then finally i got a call end of september to collect my passport, visa and seal envelope.

My port of entry was at JFK it was nice and smooth but i had to wait a long for my turn otherwise it was nice now getting ready to get married my sweet fiancee and start our adjustment of status. Finally keep your finger cross and hopefully your wife get her visa soon and i can understand this waiting period as me too had to passed but once your journey is completer then all that waiting period becomes a sweet reminiscence

Thank you ver much and as far as the fees goes for EAD and the Travel document, they both are included in this new fees for AOS.

According to USCIS " If you filed a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, on July 30, 2007, or after, then no fee is required to file a request for employment authorization on Form I-765. You may file the I-765 concurrently with your I-485, or you may submit the I-765 at a later date. If you file Form I-765 separately, you must also submit a copy of your Form I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt as evidence of the filing of an I-485."

Best of luck and feel free to ask any AOS questions as I have doing this research so I can file for my wife ASAP (Inshallah) after she gets here.
