    I agree that this is probably true.

    You know, you've mentioned this thing about Sonia before. I've never heard any Indian people who like her attempts at assimilation, everyone I know sneers at it. I find this whole Sonia angle very strange. If you asked me, I'd suggest you (or anyone) try hard to be as un-Sonialike as possible!! :)

    I am sorry for what you are going through, thoug my situation wasn't the same but my wife is from a shiite family and my family an orthodox sunni and we have ran into our share of "family issues" and can understand you frustration, that being said I think you are doing an excellent job adopting some of Indian culture and all the while keeping your own as well. Just beleive in the fact that some people will never be happy no matter how much you change but hopefully your in-laws will realize soon how much you do for your husband and how much you have given up.

    Who could love him more then you? If you though the punishment was appropriate then it is but try to use his grounding to get him closer to you and make sure he doesn't start seeing his studies as his enemy.

    :whistle::crying: I APPLIED FOR 130 IN 08/06 AND I129F ON 12/0, NO NEW INFO JUST A NOTICE STATING TRANSFERED TO VSC. DONT UNDERSTAND HOW TO RECEIVE A TOUCH OR DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO FROM HERE.

    You could try calling them, it couldn't hurt.

    Try calling them and if it doesn't help contact you local congressmen

    I-130 Question

    Hello All.

    I filed a I130 petition back on Feb 16th and received my NOA1 on Feb 20th from CSC. In my packet, I had a cover letter stating that I will be pursuing the K3 Visa and will mail out the 129F once I receive the NOA1. It's been recommended to me to just stick with the I130 and not to pursue the K3, as the the timelines are similar. Now, would I have to write the CSC a letter stating that I'm not pursuing the K3? Will they purposely not 'touch' the file, anticipating the K3 process?

    Please advise

    It is my personal opinion that they will process the I-130 as normal unless they receive the I-129 form

    HELLO everyone

    i got an email from uscis putting

    current status: We mailed you a notice requesting additional evidence since my wife sent I-130 on 1sth october2006 ...yet they dont say what is missing or the document they need so that we can send back ....shall we call them to know what is the amtter or they are going to tel us what is needed.... please anyone underwent the same matter or knows anything he/she is welcome to help

    Calling them will probably not be of help. You will receive a letter in the mail which will tell you what further documents they require. You should receive this in the standard time-frame....like the NOA1 about a week or so, from when it [the letter] is generated.

    Well there are technically 3 forms, so which do you mean?

    She will need DS230 even though K3 is not an immigrant visa?

    1. Answer questions that are asked, do not change them.

    2. You are free to provide whatever information you want to provide, and withhold whatever information you want to withhold. The decision will be made base on the information that is provided and documented.

    3. See answer #1.

    4. How else would you provide information about 5 people?

    5. It seems to make no difference how this question is answered, so why not answer by stating what you do intend to do?

    Final question - read the I-134 instructions and also read the instructions for evidence that may be presented to meet the financial charge provisions of the law that will come in your wife's visa application packet.

    Following are the questions:

    1. In part 1a where they are asking for my naturlizatin certificate number, do I just put the Cert number or should I also add the date and location as well?

    2. In part 7 If my Salary is above the 125% of poverty level do I still fill out the savings/life insurance information etc?

    3. In part 7 though I don't have mortgage (rental) do I still write my apartment address?

    4. In part 10 I have filed I-130 for my wife and four brother & sisters but there is only space for 2 names, do I include a sheet and write in this column to "see attached"?

    5. In part 11, Do I check the "I Intend" box and write " K3 visa process" or do I not check anything and write "N/A K3 visa process for permanent residence"?

    What documents should I attach with this form to send to my wife ?

    I suggest looking at the I-134 (affidavit of support) as you will need to send it to her, plus start practicing filling out forms which she will receive in the packet sent my the embassy: 2 copies of DS156, 1 copy of DS157 and 1 copy of DS230 Part 1.     Make sure she is agathering all the documents needed like:

    evidence of our relationship: cards, letters, photos.

    certified copy of our marriage certificate as well as financial documents showing you have assets in common, another proof of relationship.
