  1. ok guys...here's my question. how bad will it look on the paperwork for my husbands greencard if *I* the main sponsor is not working, AT ALL. before you ask, yes i have a co-sponsor, my father, and he fortunately makes pleeeeeeeeeeeeenty of money to cover the poverty line plus alot. the reason why i would NOT be working is because i am a full time student. will the uscis understand this and not deny over my unemployment? i have to go to school, not going is not an option. let me know if anyone has any experience of this or any opinions! thanks!

    ~Chelsea

In my opinion this shouldn't be a problem

  2. Ok. Both the CR1 and the K3 are filed. Once either or both are accepted, do you get to choose which one you want, how does that work. Which one gets them here the fastest is really the one we want. We don't mind waiting on a greencard, as long as she waits here.

So what steps are taken once they are both approved.

Sorry for posting this in 2 spots. Dunno which forum this would apply to.

I am going the K3 route with both approved

  3. latelyi find new threats opened in here which its so helpfull for alot of people for there process, which also that is what visa journey for, but i find alot of people attacking them

    threats is like

    march fillers

    february fillers

    RFE fillers

    CSC transfer

but really all that help people alot, and its somthing to make them sometimes not to worry or worry about there processs

    its better than doing nothing

or in certian threatsin visajourney they didnt find anything like that to do girls there formed something called MEan Girls, just attacking people and fighting all time long

so please, for people that find a certian threat dont enter, u dont have to go nd say its silly to open that, cuz u will find someone else with the same worry, writing about his case too and ignoring ur answer cuz people still worried about there process

    please be understanding

    I agree!!!

  4. My fiance and I received our visa 5 months and 4 days after the initial filing. His interview was April 4. He was called a week later to come and pick up his visa. There is a lot of red flag talk on the mena forum. We did not have any red-flags except that we had known each other less than a year. I met him 5 months after initially meeting online. We decided to do an engagement party on my next visit two months later. We are the same age. Both divorce with child/children. Had been divorced at least 4 1/2 years prior. He is employed. I never sent him money. We had plenty of proof of relationship. He spoke english fluently. Had prior visas. Had never been arrested, he he. His name is not the normal name, that surely helped us with security clearance.

Any other information can be found on our timeline. Good luck to all those applying or waiting. (L)(L)(L)(L)(L)

    Congrats!!!

    latest snowfall projections from accuweather

This snow will not be a fluffy snow, but a heavy, packing snow with temperatures close to the freezing mark. In addition to causing hazardous travel, the weight of the snow could cause roof failures and also power outages as tree limbs and power lines come down.

GREAT!!! I will be in the middle of this storm tomorrow

  6. When are you going?

Also, what is this "welcome to the USA" letter? I'm assuming that's the advance parole since you're going on vacation?

The "Welcome to the USA" letter is what the send after a green card is approved. It says that you have permanent resident status, and to expect a green card in the mail.

I feel safe booking tickets now. In the worst case, the green card won't show up. We can make an infopass appointment, show them the letter and tickets, and ask for an I-551 stamp. We're getting changeable tickets anyway, so not much risk.

CONGRATS!! Great achievement!! and welcome to USA and good luck on your journey to becoming a US citizen

  7. Hi Khurram,

One task is done, After I got your reply back to my post about Bank statement and last year deposit amount, I went ahead to Bank of America and asked for the requested information, they said it will take 10 days before I will get that letter since they donot produce such letters their locally.

I also have last three income trax returns with me ane also got couple of my pay stubs in hand.

I am going to get the Job letter on monday and will also notarize my I-134.

is there anything else we need to complile?

Thanks again for all this information.

Are you in NY? originally from Punjab or Sindh?

    Thanks,

    Data Sheet

If you think the above docs will put you in good standing financially then you should be good, of course you will need to send her a copy of the the NOA2 you received.

I am in Upstate NY in a city Called Syracuse but originally from Karachi

  8. I received a letter in the mail and I wonder if this means...NOA2?? for my I-130.....it basically said:

PRELIMINARY PROCESSING OF THE ABOUT APPLICATION/PETITION HAS BEEN COMPLETED

It was for my I-130 and it has my date the I-130 was received and the same WAC number.

Does this mean NOA2??? what do you think???

When I received my Approval it said the approval type" Approval Notice"

If it doesn't say that then I don't think it is the NOA2

  9. Thank you for the clarification. On the DS forms and 156, and 157- it asks who filled out the form. I received previous advice- that it doesn't matter if I fill out the form and just write that in the space.

Your post is giving me space to pause and rethink...

thank you, I will ask a bit about this. If it is better for my fiance to fill out the forms- we will definitely do so!

You are very welcome, I also think it doesn't matter but the Truth is the truth and when I can have say the truth why bother with a lie

  10. Does anyone know if the form DS-230 part one can be completed and signed ahead of time or will we have to wait for the original to be generated by NVC?

I will be leaving hubby again on Tuesday and we would like to get as much done as possible to save us time.

Why don't you complete the form and leave it with her and when the packet comes in mail have her copy the contents that you filled out and submit it?

  11. Is there a reason you are having your fiance recopy the information , rather than just sending in the forms you already filled out?

I was going to have my fiance just send in the forms I prefilled out.

Also, what are you doing about the online DS156?

    Any feedback is welcomed!

The two reasons I am having my wife fill it out again are:

    1. She can familiarize her self with the form and contents incase there are any questions at the interview

    2. If she is asked if she is the one who filled the forms she can truthfully say that YES she filled them.

I filled out the online DS156 and printed it with the barcode but if that form is sent again to her I will have copy the contents to the one she was sent for the above reasons and if she needs to fill it online she will still fill it out online herself from the form I am sending her and submit it.

This is just my thinking and trying to be safe

  12. Hi,

My wife is in process of gettting K-3 visa from Islamabad consulate and I read from the forum she need DS-156 besides other forms.

My question is can I fill this form here and then print it out and then send it to her? Or the embassy will ask her to fill the same form they sent her?

    Thanks,

    Data Sheet

I recommend that you fill out:

    1. DS 230 Part 1

    2. DS 156

    3. DS 156K

Send it to her and then when she gets those forms from the Embassy just copy the content from your forms to it and proceed

This is a just a suggestion as this is what I am having my wife do.
