Hi all,

According to the NVC, my case was forwarded to the London Embassy on March 27th - I was just wondering how long I should wait before contacting them if it doesn't show up? Obviously I understand that there's the shipping time, and for them to generate the necessary paperwork for me...but just wanted to check all the same. Still waiting for my police certificate in any case, so it's not like I'd be ready for an interview soon anyway.

We're in no particular rush, provided we get the visa in the next 6 months...but figured I may as well see how long it took for other people etc

From what I have seen on other people's timeline it seems that it takes approx 2 to 3 weeks for you wife/fiance to get the first Packet

Ok, Thanks for the response. What about a visitors visa? how long could she stay in the USA? How hard to recieve?

My grandma applied for a visitors visa based on teh fact that her children were here in the US and she got a multiple entry 5 year visa so you can always try

A state official says police have found the driver they believe caused a car accident that left Gov. Jon S. Corzine critically injured, and would not be charging the man.

An official with knowledge of the investigation said the driver, a man who worked at a casino in Atlantic City, didn't realize he had caused the accident and thought he actually avoided an accident. The official described the man as a ""special needs driver.''

Indianapolis Metro police arrested a man they said drove his Jeep Grand Cherokee through a Fishers Wal-Mart early Friday morning. The incident happened at about 4 a.m. at the store at 96th Street and Interstate 69.

Officials told 6News' Julie Pursley that the man, identified as Donald Hudson, 44, drove through the front doors and around inside the store.

An employee told police that he saw Hudson urinating outside his Jeep in the parking lot moments before the Jeep plowed through the door.

Employees said they heard a loud noise and were incredulous when they saw the Jeep.

Police said Hudson drove past the cash registers, turned right and then stopped, apparently lowered his window and talked to an employee working in the produce section.

Just checked my mail and got a letter from NVC stating that the transfer my wife's case to Islamabad Consulate and that she will receive the packet to apply for the K3 soon.

Going through the painful process of immigration myself I get really angry when I see any benefits to the illegals of this country

When my husband and I took our passport photos in Colombia they had a weird background and the size was off too. So when we tried to explain to the guy what we needed he said "oh! you don't need passport photos, you need US embassy photos for a visa". Sure enough, that's exactly what we need it, they were just labeled different.

I used teh same photo for my I-130 as I-129f and had no problems

I am a UK citizen my husband filed I-130 in nov 2006, I overstayed my VWP last year because I was sick and did want to travel so have am now applying for tourist visa because we have jsut had a baby girl and want to visit my husbands family in the US. I have proof of my job in the UK and my husband is living and working in the UK aswell. What are the chances of being let in for a vacation on a tourist visa. If you have had similar experiences please post them and tell me which POE you came through.

My wife applied for a b2 visa and was denied on the fact that since she has her husband in US she will not be a "visitor" but is a risk of staying in US
