  1. It also depends on when you have your ceremony. I believe here in Denver they have 2 ceremonies per year, so if you missed the first one and you already interviewed and passed, you have to wait for the second one, which is what happened to me. I had to wait from July till October for my ceremony to be held and have the certificate in my hand.

I applied for my Citizenship on October 15 2005 and was sworn in on December 2006 in Syracuse, NY

  2. :help: My fiancee sent only the forms (I-129F and G-325A), photocopies of our passports, passport pics and the cheque!

I just re-read the uscis I-129f form and realized that you had to provide proof of your relationship in the package too and am freaking out! He was under the impression that you presented that evidence at the interview process and they just run a background check at this time!

Our petition was sent maybe two weeks ago and we still haven't received our confirmation letter (with case number) that they've gotten it. Should we wait for the case number and then send a cover letter with all our phone bills, flight itineraries etc? Can you send additional information before you get a RFE?

    HELP!

    Liz (Canada)

    Wait for the RFE

  3. After the NOA2 is issued, what is next along the road particularly at the NVC. What do I need to do to have everything ready for this. Sorry, I am kinda new to the forum and unable to navigate it...you can even point me in a good direction...but I would like to get everything ready to go as I am in Korea right now and have access to everything.

The downloads section for K-3 Visa's has a list of some forms the foreign spouse will need. You can practice with these forms

  4. In the hopes of getting the EAD or who knows even the GC in a couple months, I been trying to convert my c.v. to an american version.

Taking into account that both my degrees come from a spanish university, plus another year in a french university, and the little work experience i have is also in Spain...whoever reads my cv. may wonder if i am allowed to work in the US.

Should i mention my immigration status (when i can work that is) just in case?WHat have you guys done with yours?

Also since spanish is my first language...what should i put next to it?Native language?

Should I just explain it in a cover letter?

Geez all this to end up being a (with the due respect) a Wal-mart greeter

    Thanks :)

you do not mention this on your american Resume

  5. Just checked my mail and got a letter from NVC stating that the transfer my wife's case to Islamabad Consulate and that she will receive the packet to apply for the K3 soon.

Man I am Excited and nervous at the same time!!!!

Isn't it awesome to be out of USCIS and NVC stages??? Things will move faster now and before you know it, your sweetheart is in your arms again. Good luck with the rest of the journey!

Thank you for your kind wods and yes it is an awesome feeling

  6. Khurram,

I think that 'appearances' is not an issue, and it makes no difference who fills out the form. The important thing is that the form is filled out accurately.

The visa applicant is responsible for the information regardless of who puts the information on the form.

    Khurram,

    What's better about it?

    Yodrak

.... just meant it in a general way that its better if she said she filled it out

If I was interviewing someone (which I do at my Job) and they told me that some form was filled out by someone else even if it was a spouse I would think that the form lost it's importance as if the USCIS or the consulate wanted the spouse to fill out the form they would have have indicated that like they do with the affidavit of support.

Now, this is just my opinion and this is what i am doing and since I think this is a better choice myself I share it as an idea as well.

    What do you think?

    I appreciate your honest reply
